Gradi - Crown Melbourne

Was very disappointed in spending our special event at Gradi. We spent almost $500 in food and drinks and the service was terrible. Firstly our waiter was mute, just grunts and mmms no words. We had a large group taking orders and she didn't write anything down, we asked her if she wanted to write this down to remember and she said that's fine. Low and behold she messed up the order and forgot one of the dishes! To top it off they were angry when asked to hold the door open to push a pram throug

Everything was good except it took 1 hour to get our main which was just paster. Maybe under staffed?

Food was great service however was slow for food. When making payment had to wait for the man behind the desk to type forever on the screen before he took our payment. He could of attend to us and then typed for as long as he wanted.

Gradi is a decent Italian restaurant. The food is good quality as you’d expect, but it’s overpriced for Italian food. You’re probably more paying for the location. The service was slow and we had to confirm our order with the waiter twice because he couldn’t remember it. The atmosphere is lively and noisy, so if you’re looking for something quiet and romantic I would avoid.

Waiter and waitresses excellent . However the maitre d need to do give diners proper form for crown rewards and fill it out!

Gradi at Crown was fabulous as always, never disappointed when we visit here. The service was exceptional and genuinely friendly. We had a birthday celebration on our table and the staff went above and beyond to make our birthday boy feel special. Thankyou so much, can't wait to come back!

Price of pasta dishes is simply too expensive (quality of pasta mirrors that of other Italian franchises) the menu itself is over priced for what you get.
The glassware had an unpleasant smell of dirty tea towels. I won't be dining there any time soon (disappointed)

We had difficulties with getting want we were ordering. We specifically asked for Ragu 3 times and received bolognese. This dish was requested without cheese and or any topping, the first serve had cheese. Only a third of the meal was consumed, the plate was cleared no questions. A drinks order took 20mins to arrive.
The bottle of Yallamba Special, with the exception of the first pour, we had to retrieve the bottle from the wait station and pour it ourselves. $400 spent, will not return

Not great service and it was really quiet . Limited options for gluten free

We ordered entree and mains, the mains were so slow coming out that the server got us some other food whilst we were waiting, entree was really good calamari and the 154 pizza, mains were a mix, I ordered the seafood linguine which was so salty that I couldn’t eat it, the gnocchi was really good and the ragu was ok but I can make it better. There are much better places in Melbourne to go if you want a pasta meal.

Food was excellent.came to eat pizza and was not disappointed. The Arancini balls was very good. The scallops were excellent. The pizza were delicious. The steak was...meh. The service was very efficient and professional. The place was very busy but the service level did not fail.

Was not impressed with service.
Asked to pay the bill, was told by waitress twice, she'll come back to collect. 15 minutes later, still awaiting for bill to be collected. Asked another senior waitress who used her fingers to tell me to wait and somewhat just snapped at me to pay at counter. Was so rude! You should never use your fingers to signal.

First time at Gradi and it won’t be the last. Enjoyed our starters (burratta and zucchini flowers) and our fresh pasta mains (funghi and beef ragú). Our server was friendly and willing to pace the courses with our preference. We opted for a leisurely pace and didn’t feel rushed. Looking forward to going back soon.

Fantastic food and great service

Been there twice, pizzas taste good, but the tomatoes tasted slightly off, and the use of rocket as a topping on both pizzas doesn’t appeal to me. I also felt off the next day for the second visit in a row.

This place was just wonderful. Food, service etc was perfect. Have been before and will be back again!

Had a wonderful dinner here for my Mum's 60th birthday - and excellent and friendly service! Would highly recommend

Always sensational

We went to Gradi on Saturday night to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We had a beautiful seat outside, which we preferred as inside was extremely loud and busy. The service was okay, however I told staff that we were celebrating my boyfriend's boyfriend however they did not seem to care one bit. Didn't even say happy birthday. Food did come out very quickly. However, considering how many staff were on, service was slow.

Excellent service and food - couldn't fault the quality. Highly recommend the raspberry wonderland mocktail. I could have ordered 50 and never gotten sick of them!

Great pizza, tiramisu and seafood pasta.

To be honest. $40 pastas and $30 pizzas should be bigger it’s like we are paying for entree sized meals.

We had a fantastic dinner at Gradi for a friend’s birthday. Staff were very thoughtful and even gave us complimentary glasses of sparkling to celebrate the occasion. We asked a staff member to recommend wines for us and we couldn’t be any happier with their suggestions. Pizza and pasta were the favourites and the gluten free gnocchi was delicious!

Good Italian food but very overpriced!

Quality of food was excellent. service could be better mainly around processing people at front door, once in wait staff was good as well. Pizzas are little expensive than what I would like to pay at even considering it's crown and not a cafe down the road. I was probably expecting a bit more fine dining but it felt more like a regular restaurent like brunetties. Just going by quality of food, ignoring the price, I would definitely come back and recomend
