Great food and service. We had a mix of breakfast and lunch items and all of them were delicious. The kids loved it too. Perfect for a yummy meal with the family or for a date night.

I was very excited to try this restaurant on a double date with another couple. We’d been to many other restaurants under the same management and loved them.

However, I was a bit disappointed by the food. I ordered the scallops and risotto and was very excited. The scallops themselves were great but the risotto was disappointing. It was not cooked all the way through. There was no taste to it and the giant chunks of ham were a bit off-putting.

Things are slow downtown. This restaurant continues with really good food. Their fish n chips rocks.

My wife and I had a reservation for 7pm. We arrived and were shown to maybe the worst table we’ve ever seen. I understand that during these abnormal times, not everything is going to be perfect, but this was ridiculous. The two tables we had to choose from were out on the sidewalk, in a construction area, and under an industrial air conditioning unit. Not only was it dripping water next to the table, but there was birds nest debris hanging from it, directly over our heads, and where our food would’ve been. It was as if we were going to have dinner and drinks in the back alley. On top of all that, the tables were filthy, with the remnants of previously served food and drinks all over them. We of course asked to be moved to another table, and while we were waiting, two other couples got seated at two other very mice tables on the front patio. I asked about it, and was told that they had made reservations. I pointed out that we had also, and was told that the air conditioner table could be moved away from the building, but that was about all they could do. We decided to leave, and told them to give our disgusting table to someone else. We went across the street to Provisions, were seated in about 10 minutes, and had a great meal. This was our second bad experience with the Granary Tavern, and will not be going back. If we’re going to pay Boston prices for food and drinks, we at least expect to be seated somewhere other than directly under the dripping AC condenser.

Not a fan. Host couldn’t be bothered. Drinks were flat. Food didn’t have flavor. Server was ok but once she realized we weren’t having a good experience, she just dropped the check. No manager brought over or anything. Will never return. Ruined night.

Meal was good, but our server took her mask down every time she came to our table which was disturbing.

Great food...

The food was overpriced and too greasy but the service was absolutely terrible!! The waitress was so slow and we never saw her. We got water after asking twice for it, I asked for a cup for my beer and never got one, and a different server ended up taking our check because it sat on the table for 15 minutes after she dropped it off.

The servers are all so welcoming and professional, the French omelette was delicious and the location is excellent- lots of outdoor seating and the windows fully retract for the restauraant

Food was a little expensive for the quality. Waitress did not introduce herself, simply came up to the table and said “what do you want”.

Menu was way too small and did not have regular options. I know COVID is a tough time, but was very disappointed compared to normal menu.

Horrible service considering only three tables were sat, provided a brunch menu even though brunch wasn’t being served. Bland. Overpriced.

4th of July winner! Well set up to be socially distant with all staff in masks. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The food was fantastic. 3 lobster salad sandwiches, clam chowder and the grilled cheese. There was happy silence at the table until everyone reported dancing tastebuds. The chowdah was fantastic. The lobster salad chunky and full of the sea not mayo. The grilled cheese was full of ham and an interesting mustardy green apple chutney like filling. Really delish!

The food was fantastic. However it appeared that our waitress was very new and didn’t know the menu when we were placing our order. Sadly, one of the meals came our wrong so we had to wait about 10 minutes for the correct order. She was very sweet but the only reason for the 3 stars on service was because the other waitress and the manager jumped in to help our waitress out of the weeds, which we were grateful for. I would go back again for the food and cute little patio with twinkle lights. Nice vibe with food drinks and music but maybe a few more days of training for the new staff.

We were there during lunch. Seems quality of food has gone down, and prices have gone up. Fish tacos were dry, and half the fries were an inch long or shorter. Waitress was pleasant and professional. Music was distractingly loud for a lunch crowd.

Very nice spot to meet for lunch or dinner, and versatile too: works well for both business and personal gatherings. Whatever else you order, share some truffle fries; they are out of this world.

I got together with a few friends at Granary on a Monday night recently. We loved the bang bang cauliflower app! Definitely recommend it! For meals, we had the short rib pasta, a burger, and a salad and all were tasty and decent sized portions. The service was good, a little slow to clear our plates but we were a chatty bunch and lingered there for a while.

Restaurant wasn’t very busy for a Sunday at 12:30 however 2 Bloody Mary’s took over a half hour to come to our table yet we ordered 3. Third one was forgotten about so took even longer. Food was just ok and one order was screwed up despite the waitress confirming that said order would be prepared the way we wanted it.

Our server was outstanding! I enjoyed the swordfish tacos & my husband had the fish & chips. I thought it was a little pricey for the serving size.

I normally am a big fan of granary which is why I suggested it for a few friends who were coming in from out of town for the week. My experience was good - the waitress was attentive and friendly and the food was tasty and came out quick. However, I had to leave early and after I left, apparently two rats scampered by the table. My friends alerted the waitress and manager and according to them, neither seemed to care too much and brushed it off. This is really disappointing because I have always been a fan of this restaurant and came here regularly for dinner or drinks after work.
