Great experience !!
Service was great. Our waiter was on top of everything. The atmosphere was great as well. The food prices listed on their website did not reflect the prices at the restaurant. $140 with tip for 2 steaks and an appetizer is a lot of money for a “cafe”. That did not include any alcohol and 1 Pepsi. Prices could be in line with other restaurants of this caliber.
Wonderful date night dinner here with my wife. She went the safe route with Bills Chicken Salad and I consumed the million calorie Smoked Sherri BBQ glazed Pork Chop with the most decadent mac n cheese with spiced Chicharrano with diced pancetta. Oh what a treat. And Sean our server was both knowledgeable and helpful in our dining needs. Will return soon.
Great experience table was ready, food excellent, waitress awesome and a good amount for your money !
Generous portions of very good food at reasonable prices. Very friendly and courteous service, although a little confused.
This place never disappoints and is our go-to for dinner and brunch. Great food. Great happy hour. Great service.
Music TOO LOUD and made it difficult to communicate with friends. I asked for a quieter area and was seated directly under a large speaker.
Great good and service!
The only reason I am giving 4 stars is the main courses. We got the short ribs and the Brussels sprouts were undercooked and hard and the grand street stack we assumed as a sandwich but it wasn’t. Everything still tasty but nothing superb. However, the soft pretzels and deviled eggs as appetizers were delicious! And you have to get the grand bar for dessert. It’s sinful! Our waitress was prompt and nice, great upscale looking restaurant! We will be back.
The food needs some help. The quality and offerings did not match the ambiance. The restaurant is beautiful and has lots of potential. The decor of the restaurant is outstanding, however, they played loud 90s music over their sound system. As mostly plant-based eaters, the offerings here were slim to none for us. We decided to eat vegetarian so we didn’t have to go elsewhere. There is no escaping the meat and dairy here. All in all, we will probably go back to use up the gift card someone gave us, but we will just have cocktails and maybe a bread basket.
It was a holiday weekend, with few servers and only one bartender as expected. For the most part food and drinks were good. The pork chop was dry
Wonderful evening meal to start the Fourth of July holiday weekend. You must check out this place and be sure to order the chicken fried brussels sprouts appetizer.
Professional staff always
It’s a true gem in KC area.
Always a good experience. Food is consistently good as well.
Lauren was a fantastic server. Very conscientious and personal.
The food the ambiance was all great. There was a small hiccup with the food and they fixed it immediately and went above and beyond. We will be going back for sure.
First time at this restaurant and we'll be back soon. Very good flavor and meals excellently prepared. Service was great. Probably the only drawback is the limited wine selection from what we've experienced at other restaurants but that's our perspective only.
It was fine. Prices are high but you pay for the atmosphere.
Awesome service and great food! Celebrated my friends birthday. Coming back soon!
Father’s Day with my family!! Love this restaurant! Service, brunch and the pork chop were fantastic. Thank you!!
The food was ok, our server was great and I tipped well. It was a Father's Day brunch so I understand the need to adjust tables to accommodate more reservations, but we were a group of 4 seated at a large round table meant for 8 people, directly behind the hostess station, so everyone coming in and going out had to walk around us. Not a big deal on a busy day, but my 95 year old grandfather had no chance of hearing conversation or being heard when he spoke due to the high traffic area and being seated at such a large table. Through our hour and half there, about half the restaurant was empty and there were countless 4-person tables open. We thought about asking to switch before ordering but decided not to trouble my grandfather with having to move (he struggles with walking and balance). I'm sure I'll go back again at some point, but maybe not for a holiday meal.
Great staff, great food, excellent service. I highly recommend Grand Street - Lenexa!
We had a 6:00 reservation for 2 were seated promptly. We each had a cocktail which was served promptly. My dirty martini was perfect. Took forever to get the second drink and I actually had to ask someone to find my waiter. I tried to order the beef short rib and was informed that they were out? Had to settle for a tasteless piece of overcooked salmon. My wife ordered the chicken piccata which was under sauced and lacked capers. Very disappointing meal. Disappointed with the menu. Don’t know if they serve dessert because I wasn’t asked. Feels like they are on their last days of business. Didn’t bother to complain, just left disappointed.
Great waitress. Very personable & fast. Will come back again.
Bartender was awesome!
Very nice atmosphere to visit with friends. Food always delicious and service great.
Long wait for drinks to be delivered. Very limited choices for vegetarians. Husband’s filet was undercooked and the wine sauce overpowered the steak and potatoes.
Our server was new but was trying very hard and will get better with experience.
Sean was our server. Very knowledgeable on the menu, great Recommendations and excellent service. First time there but not last for sure!
Grand Street is one of our all time favorite restaurants! We moved from the area several years ago but it's still worth the 20 minute drive to have a wonderful dinner with great ambiance. We love the hostess and always enjoy their great servers!
The place was active and that is a welcome site. It was a pleasure to enter the restaurant and the staff was massless. So welcoming!!! The bartenders were great and our server made two recommendations for dinner that were wonderful. Will be back !!!
The salmon artichoke dip was amazing! The food was good and the service was some of the best I've ever had. Our server, Mike, was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Maybe the best burger I’ve ever had. Great service!
Great food and service. Outdoor dining was really nice!
I really wanted to like this restaurant but had a few issues that made me not want to go back. I ordered a salad and found it to be really unorthodox. It essentially came out as a "make your own salad" which I'm not a huge fan of. All ingredients segmented with fried uncut chicken strips. If I'm paying for a salad please humor me and mix it together. Cutting breaded chicken strips isn't ideal. Appetizer and drinks were good.
Food was outstanding. Chicken sandwich was perfect. The pork chop was exceptional. Service (Danielle) was the worst I have ever experienced. She never smiled and only saw her to take our order and bring the check. Very very poor
I think I was expecting more based on reviews and the menu.
The starter was fantastic. We ordered the bread service. It was so yummy. It was very garlicky but very delicious.
My husband had the pork chops. It was a generous portion but they were dry. Also the sides did not pair well with the pork. There wasn’t a veggie and one of the sides was more pork...
I had the braised short ribs. They were well cooked but not well seasoned. The chef obviously likes garlic. It was all over everything we ate including the ribs. Now I like garlic but this was overload.
The only veggie choice I saw on the menu was brussle sprouts . Most people are not a fan. I like them usually but mine were seared so dark they were almost burnt.
Overall I was a little disappointed.
Service was good, cocktails were very good and we just had appetizers. But the tacos were yummy!
They appeared to be a bit short handed so we didn’t see our waitress that often but she was nice. She and many of the staff seemed stressed out.
My biggest complaint was the portion sizes of the appetizers we ordered. The fondue came with pretzels and apples. We had a 3 person party and only got 2 apple slices. I’m not a huge eater by any stretch but of the 3 apps we got I thought the portions were quite small. They were also out of the fried Brussels sprouts by 7 pm which is pretty early in the dinner service and the reason I chose grand street.
The dinner portion salad was awesome though. We also had the very rich phyllo brownie and it was plenty for 3 to share.
Overall I gave it 4 stars but maybe be a bit patient as they reopen fully after COVID.
Food was only so-so for the price. I was told that I could not have a glass of water because they didn't have enough glasses cleaned. Looked like the whole staff was caught off guard how busy they were going to be on a Saturday night. I could not wait for the meal to be over with and go home.
