Chef Serpa runs such good restaurants! Can't wait to go back when they reopen. Awesome food and hospitality.
Very overpriced, nothing special, we were sat upstairs all alone
Fantastic service, great curbside patio. Very safe behavior from the staff. Flatbread and cauliflower were amazing. Just beer and wine but a good variety.
Birthday celebration for my husband and our first time at the restaurant. It was excellent on every level! Great newly remodeled space, delicious food, timely and attentive service and reasonably priced. We will return!
Great service and food quality. Wonderful wine list.
Food was on point- Evan crushes service. Great atmosphere. The veal shoulder and the chickpea flatbread are must haves.
It was great 😊
Amazing night with food & wine !! I highly recommend putting this on your must list to try , you won’t be disappointed !!!
One of the best meals in Boston. Very inventive, healthy, and delicious menu. Reserve now...
GT was a great date spot - the food was delicious and the servers were lovely and gracious. We enjoyed the meal, pandemic and all. The only thing that could have been better was some greater separation between people on the sidewalk and our table, because unfortunately so many of them are not wearing masks.
the steak is unacceptable
Grand Tour is one of my favorite restaurants in Boston so glad that me and my friend went!
Service and food both excellent. We sat outside with great weather. Very nice overall dining experience.
Had a wonderful experience at grand tour! Absolutely love the atmosphere, location, and French theme! Having authentic French cuisine was an amazing experience. The vegetables were delicious, along with the flat bread and wine. Also the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, I would definitely recommend trying it!
The best wait staff and hosts ever! Delicious food and great vibes.
Delicious mussels and amazing steak tartare! Wait staff definitely knew their wines and made great recommendations. Not a bad glass or plate that night!
Patio dining was pleasant and allowed proper spacing between tables. Indoor dining is also available. Food choices were creative and reflected a summer time theme. Ingredients are of a high quality and tasty. Be sure to try the Heirloom tomato salad and the fresh corn dish. No meal would be complete without having the steak frites. The beef is tender and cooked to perfection.
A wonderful selection of wines are available and the staff are able to assist in choosing the best wine to complement your food.
Service is top notch and efficient. They do a great job at adapting to outdoor dining.
Best restaurant in Boston!
Great service, food could be more interesting, and better flavored.
Excellent food always and new outdoor seating onto Newbury Street is extraordinary. Would recommend this restaurant to every local and anyone visiting.
Lovely food, interesting treatment of the artichokes, excellent carpaccio of jambon de Paris, carrots with duck confit was very pretty (seemed more like a Vietnamese treatment than French but no complaint implied), nice plump Maine mussels in a creme fraiche and wine based sauce, really good breads, all in all a really nice meal. Service was good humored and intelligent. We wished we could have seen more tables full - how will our restaurant community get through this with a 30% subscription level?
Excellent food and service in a great setting
Was a little u comfortable in the space and wish there was a full bar
Food was great!
All four of us thought that dinner was good. Just not good enough to return. Fries w steak frite should be hot. All of ours were just a little warm. Had to send them back. Some of the preps on the side veggies were too creamy (French) for us. But perhaps that’s on us, not them.
Excellent appetizers and entrees. Disappointed by the lack of desserts and coffees. Good French inspiration, but it’s not French without a dessert. Love to see this part evolve.
Despite the space being small, it is well designed and uses the space to maximize the number of diners. Ambiance is modern, well lit and comfortable. Menu offers bites, appetizers and entrees no matter if you come in for lunch, after work, or dinner.
Food choices offer a variety of French inspired offerings. A must try is the steak frites. Service is well executed and staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Bottle selection of wines is terrific. Would like to see a more varied selection of red wines. Many of them were fruit driven, missing was a dry, full body wine that would pair well with the meat dishes .
Private dining room is available upstairs as well. This is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
Terrific food and wonderful service.
Outstanding service, food and ambience. A welcome addition to the back bay restaurant scene. Michael adds another wonderful location along with Select Oyster.
The ambiance is like a typical French bistro, which is fine, and the food was quite good — artichoke soup and tartare of trout were delicious. However, the prices were sky high even fir Back Bay, and I will stick with La Voile, just up the street, for my French bistro meals.
Our experience at Grand Tour began with great promise. The space is elegantly decorated and our waiter provided excellent service. The kitchen is excellent and our food was outstanding. Unfortunately, things fell apart at the end of our meal..... When I received my bill, I was informed that a 20% gratuity was included. Not a deal breaker given the quality of the cuisine and service to that point. However, upon paying my bill, we were told (by a bus boy no less) that we needed to move to the bar in order to make space for waiting customers. We had not finished our wine and there were other empty tables available.... Considering that we spent $350 and were seated for little more than an hour, asking us to leave our table is simply unacceptable.
Spectacular experience! Very handsome & clean decor. Excellent wine list & service. Every course off food was among the best we’ve ever had in Boston. Crudo, venison, & steak frites were particular standouts. Highly recommend!
We had a lovely table near the kitchen, so we saw the food being plated. Our server was excellent and so helpful. The food was very good -we had the rabbit and venison along with the cauliflower and sweet breads. Plates came out quickly and were beautiful.
We love the sister restaurant Select Oyster, but Grand Tour was a bit of a disappointment. Seriously, 50$ for a ribeye steak with fries ? Also, very small wine pours and very expensive ! we also did not quite understand how a reservation puts us at a bar seat and not a table.
Mushroom and cauliflower appetizers were amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the mussels. I added frites as a side since they don’t come with it (which is usually what you expect at French restaurants). Very cute decor. Wish there were a few more wine bottle options in the $50-$65 range but I imagine the pricier ones are delicious for the connoisseurs in the know. Overall excellent addition on Newbury street!
Fabulous new French restaurant in the Back Bay! The venison was amazing and the steak tartar appetizer was a hearty portion and delicious! The wine was speculator. Highly recommend. Cannot wait to go back.
My husband and I like food and service. They do not serve deserts, coffee and tea. Nether Porto vine ...
Excellent service and food. A bit small, so tables are closer to each other than desirable, but totally worth it.
Valentines Day, 9pm. Table was ready, Manager recommended great Sancerre and what he felt were some of the highlights of the menu
We had a great time!
Fabulous! The food was delicious and the waitstaff was very knowledgeable.
Value of food and service compared to price simply didn’t equate.
