Its been a long time since I last visited and I will not return. The food was mediocre. We had salmon, which was dry and needed some type of sauce. The ribs were ok, and included fries and cole slaw. Nothing to write home about. The portion sizes were ok. There was no salad or bread included in the meal. I felt like everything was ala carte. If you wanted a substitute it was an additional $3.99 to already inflated prices. Originally went for a steak, but there were only two choices and no accompaniments with the steak. I will spend my money elsewhere next time.
The service was good, food was yummy. Unfortunately, the table next to us was very loud.
Delicious brunch at an excellent price!
As always, I enjoyed my lunch at Granite City Eagan. Dining on the patio was great...shady, with a background of trickling water. Food and service was great.
Good spot for a business lunch. Was able to get a large booth to share a laptop screen.
Service was slow and our server was inattentive (forgot silverware, brought 2 of our 3 meals out and had to wait 5 mins for 3rd meal to be brought out, more attentive to others); Appetizer was great, but entrees were not prepared correctly: chopped salad wasn’t chopped, medium rare burger was charred, pop was flat. We’ve been there before and the food was fantastic, but they always feel understaffed.
We got in and got seated right away. Our waiter came over, took our order quick, and the food came fast. Great meal and great service.
Great food. Although very busy, kept checking in to make sure all was good.
The food that was available was outstanding and their selection was great!! However, I gave them 4 stars because their website is not up to date. We went there to celebrate a birthday and we were looking forward to the build your own doughnut and adult Starbucks-like beverages only to be told that they were bought out by the people who own Famous Dave's and those things do not go with their business model. We "managed" with bottomless mimosa's but, please remove them from your website and the Lawless Brunch menu and flyer so we can plan accordingly. Will go again but will call ahead to find out what they are actually serving that day in case it changes again.
Asked about senior discounts. They have none. Confused about there bottle of bubbly. We thought one bottle split between 5 of us was $7.99. It was actually $7.99 per person. Was endless so you could order as many bottles as you wish but not too many of us older folks drink much these days. The price was not explained well. Manager came over. Wanted to know if we understood regarding the $7.99. He was not going to do nothing more until i asked for a reduction for us. They did but we should have been offered something to begin with. Food was very good. I would recommend to a friend but to let them know their brunch and pricing.
Slow service and dirty restaurant
Typical chain restaurant / bar. Food is OK... the service was superb.
The floor around us was very sticky and the table seemed a little dirty. Food was good but not great. It wasn’t what I expected from Granite City.
First return to Granite City since start of COVID. Unfortunately, very few people (for lunch). Service was excellent and food as good as previous visits.
I asked not to be seated at the bar because I know they’re bar is always loud so of course I get seated about 8 feet from bar, whatever.
We went to the Sunday "Lawless Brunch" at Granite City. The breakfast item selection was somewhat limited - presumably due to COVID - yet concurrently managed to contain some unique items such as shrimp cocktail and prime rib.
Overall, the experience was pleasant and we will plan to return in the future.
Diner before a Wild game. Super attentive as to when we needed to leave by
The wait staff was AMAZING! They were always making sure our drinks were full and accommodated our requests with a smile! I had the Asian Salad and highly recommend. my husband had the ribs and they were fabulous as well! Great time. Casual.
First time and between sticky tables, dirty menus and really bad service, I wouldn’t make the 20 minute drive again.
Burger cooked correctly, fries hot and fresh. Service was attentive and friendly. Very nice lunch.
We visited for the first time for my husband’s birthday as a family dinner, and had a wonderful time.
My server made no effort to make me feel welcome. Her engagement was quite minimal. I felt she provided excellent service but I also felt like I was just a requirement in her professional itinerary. I made a couple of attempts to offer a small-talk comment but was pretty-much brushed off. It wasn't busy at all so she had the time. The fresh beer and the food were wonderful so I will return. I will request seating elsewhere if I find myself in her assigned area.
Granite City used to be one of my favorite places. The quality of the food and menu has gone downhill recently. There are other places I’d rather eat.
Always like this place. Good food, good beer. Great service.
The food was really good, especially with so many options. Great service. Beer was outstanding!
Food was good as was the service. However, the table we ate at was a little sticky.
The service was friendly and efficient. The food was tasty and hot!
Food was good and service was excellent. No wait to be seated.
Au jus was gravy like. Rice pilaf was horrible. And went for a dessert that was printed on menu, to find out they no longer served it. But didn't bother correcting menu.
The restaurant was very crowded for Easter Brunch. The lines to get to the buffet tables were way too long and each person had to have a staff member serve their food for them. The process was not very efficient and people were complaining. The food was good but the long lines deterred several in our party to not wait in line to get more food.
Food was their standard weekend brunch, which is very good. You stand behind a rope and have them put the food on a plate, not a big deal. Our only issue was that the OpenTable listing for brunch was where we made a reservation for $18.99 brunch but when we received the bill at the restaurant the Easter pricing was 23.99. We don’t really care, it wasn’t a big deal five dollars one way or another. Someone is going to make a big stink about it though. If you’re doing some special event pricing or some thing, at least put a sign on the door indicating it.
Really great daily specials and happy hour prices and good quality food.
One of our party of four didn't get food for 20 minutes after the others were served, the waiter forgot condiments for one of the other meals. Food was way spicier than advertised, inedible to the fourth of the party when it finally arrived. Waiter saw our payment card out, left the bill in the case and walked away, we had to call the manager over. Both the waiter and the manager seemed preoccupied with the tip left by the nearby table. Also overheard many tables getting part of their order late, many insincere "sorry"s uttered by waiter and manager. Not the old Granite City at all. Won't be back.
Well, the restaurant and food are great. But we had an unfortunate accident. We decided to go for the Friday fish fry. We get seated in the far back room, which was very quiet (only one other table with guests). I went to sit down, and the moment I sat down (before hardly any weight was on it) the chair broke in to 100 pieces and I hit the floor. I am not sure if I hit another chair on the way down or just landed on the cross rail of the back, but I ended up with a severe bruise just above my shoulder blades. Anyway, we did have dinner (which they did comp us), but when we got up to leave we both had wet butts and legs. The chairs I am assuming were kept outside, and the cushions we dry on top but were soaking wet inside. Overall this was a memorable experience, just NOT a good one.
Fish fry very salty with very small portion of cole slaw. Would not go back.
We went for Sunday Brunch. Food was meh... Not worth a special trip.
Brunch! Great price and deal! They even gave us our own champagne bottle for the table for bottomless mimosas.
Our server was awesome! I wish I remembered her name. Made our visit the best!!
Service was much improved from a previous visit. I will return and recommend to others that are re-entering inside dining options.
