The food was burnt. I told our waitress and she did nothing. The restaurant was playing awful music that was very loud. I will never return and will tell everyone

Greeted immediately upon entering, taken straight to our reserved table by the tv as requested in my reservation request. Food and service was amazing. The prime rib was great!!

Got stuck in a corner booth, no visible TVs, felt dark and cramped. Felt rushed to eat, waiter checked in us every 3 minutes, hard to have a conversation. Food portions noticeably smaller.
It had been awhile since I was able to get out and enjoy a meal at GC. I always enjoy the Lawless Brunch. Even there were some changes the food was excellent!!
Got table right away and had a great waitress (Patty).

Seated right on reservation time but in the bar.. I didn’t know bar tables were reservable but it seems they are. It took quite awhile for our server to arrive but it turned out ok because the menu had quite a variety of items. Our server turned out to be excellent though thru out the evening. Food was good even though the sides were less than hot. Prices were very good and parking great. Not quite five star night but no real issues either. We would return to try some other items on the menu.. the staff members were all practicing safety guidelines and tables were well spaced.
The Prime Rib sandwiches were outstanding and our server, Tommy, was terrific. His suggestions and personal recommendations were perfect. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Many thanks!
We have had the Sunday Bruch at Granite City several times but this was 1st time since COVID-19. The food quality was average at with most breakfast items (bacon, eggs, etc) served at room temperature with no flavor. The carved roast beef was also cold and was mostly fat and gristle. Had to ask our server multiple times for things....very poor performance
They still offer Sunday Brunch but with a lot of modifications. You walk behind a rope and tell an employee what you would like on your plate. You must order omelettes, prime rib and specialty eggs through your server. I had to wait so long on butter, the food was cold and thrown out. On one hand it’s frustrating and wasteful but on the other I understand and appreciate the protection from the other guests hovering over the open buffet tables. The selection is smaller than before too, yet it’s still pricey. So before you begin to get a plate, be sure to ask for salt, pepper, butter, extra napkins or anything else you can think of that your server will provide so you have it available.
Friendly server, French onion soup great, beer great, burger meh prime rib sandwich pretty good, waffle fries meh. Over all pretty okay.
Buffet is okay, definitely depends on kitchen staff lately. Wait staff needs some service training.
The food was awesome, drinks were perfect, and all the staff we interacted with were AMAZING!!!! Made our anniversary so special!

We haven't been to Granite City in over 6 months due to quarantine. The food didn't seem up to its usual standards, but we were happy to be out so we just ate it. My husband's burger seemed smaller than usual and my fries looked and rated like freezer fries heated in a convection oven.
Also, my drink (Flying Monkey) was pretty bland. I just think that's how that particular drink tastes so I won't ever be ordering it again. My cherry coke also seemed watered down. Our appetizer (Brussels sprouts) and soups we're excellent.
Our waitress was great.
We get such a good value at Granite City and we're grateful to have a night out so we didn't complain about our food. After getting home and reflecting on our previous meals there, we realized it was below par.

Fast, friendly service. Bloody Mary special and a cinnamon bun! Delicious!

Got right in at reservation time. Waiter was good. Some if the food (two of the burgers) were not warm/cheese not melted. Other food was hot. All brought out at once by someone other than our waiter.
Like the specials and felt comfortable and welcome. Everyone was very nice
Patti is our favorite server. She is thorough and always makes us feel welcome. In spite of the restrictions set by the government because of Covid-19, the experience was good. Only complaint was no salt and pepper!

Had reservations for a specific table due to hearing problems with 3 of us. When we arrived (early) the table had been taken just a few minutes earlier. A “Reserved” sign could & should have been used. Very disappointing as Granite City” has been our “go to” restaurant for years.
We have always liked eating at Granite City in Kc, this time around we were a little disappointed, as food was great as always, service was less then subpar. Music was loud 80’s music, felt like I was in a bar vs a fine dining establishment. Our server was not very attentive. Maybe they were still trying to figure everything out some COVID
We had the best server.
Finally had our first big date night out since COVID and it was perfect. There was hardly anyone there, our server was very friendly and we never felt rushed at all even though we stayed longer than we expected to, due to good conversation. Food was delicious, I had the mahi tacos. Drinks were great. It was a perfect date night!
Seemed really disorganized when we got there, but I’m sure they might’ve been short staffed. The food was okay. There were a few employees who were a bit short with me and seemed fed up with me even though we weren’t seated until 12:35 with a 12:00 reservation. It seems to have gotten worse since the last time I was there. Our servers were very kind but maybe stretched thin as we didn’t see them very often.
Sunday buffet is amazing! So much variety and the staff was incredible!
We always enjoy eating at Granite City. As senior citizens on a limited budget, we feel we certainly get our money's worth. The service is great with friendly servers.
The food was delicious. We didn’t wait at all to be seated however we did wait quite awhile for food. But it was worth the wait. Will definitely be back.
Our waiter was excellent. It was opening night for Sporting KC and it was crowded. It took a long time to get our food, it didn’t all come at once and it was just warm. My salmon meal was excellent. The children loved their food and our waiter ordered their food early which helped keep them happy. The person who ordered the hamburger thought it was good. The rest of our party thought their meals were average.
Always wanted to try the brunch but ended up being disappointed. Shrimp and pasta were overcooked and mushy. French toast was so tough I couldn't cut through it. Prime rib was mostly fat and gristle. The only things that weren't bad were the items that weren't cooked...fruit and salad. I also enjoyed the cinnamon rolls. Definitely not worth the money I paid. They brought my bloody Mary without the garnish. Then I was told they made another drink with the garnish which seemed like a plan to get me to buy another drink. Daughter's pineapple juice came out thick and orange and tasted odd. Her second juice was the normal pale yellow color it should be. Had a good, friendly waiter. Would not recommended the brunch.
Our server was very nice and pretty good. However the host and hostesses were obviously not wanting to be there.
Lastly, due to a delay on one of the 4 entrees, we didn’t get it until the other 3 had finished their meal. They took care of it and apologized.
We had a lovely time. We’ll definitely be back to try the weekend brunch. Our waitress raved about it! And the appetizers are huge. Be prepared to share, or to take some food home.
Good food, good service. Great beer - the Wicked IPA is so good I had to get a growler of it to go!
Excellent brunch option. Glad I found them!
Staff was very friendly!! Had to wait on a side dish and had to ask for it after about 15 min. But our waiter was very friendly!
