Granite City Food & Brewery - Roseville
The food and drinks were excellent. Great ambiance and prompt service. The Irish specials for St Pats day were good. I recommend Granite City!
Buffet quality has declined over the years. Buffet area was messy and the fruit was particularly neglected. I would not go back for the buffet, but I will be back for the regular menu.
Eating at Granite City this weekend for their “Lawless” brunch reminded me why I generally avoid brunch buffets. Overpriced, poorly executed, low-quality food.
We had to wait 10 minutes for a reservation we were on time for.
Always a great experience. Came in for the tapping of the new Irish Ale and apps. Delicious as always/
Pleasant atmosphere, prompt friendly service, great food.
The waiter we had was amazing. We loved the Lawless Brunch.
Love brunch, especially the all you can drink mimosa.
Our first time dinning at Granite City in Roseville was for Valentine's day. The restaurant was very busy, however we were sat right at our reservation time! The food portions were great, the food we ordered was fresh and exceeded our expectations! The slice of chocolate cake for desert was huge and we loved the whiskey butter sauce!!!! Definitely get the chocolate cake when you go!!!!!! Our server Lucas was amazing, our drinks were never empty, our food came out hot and fresh and he made sure we had everything we needed during dinner. Could not have asked for a better restaurant experience, we will definitely be back!! Did I mention..... make sure you try the chocolate cake, you won't be disappointed!!!!!!!
Always good food and beer
Need to go back to larger pictures on the menu like where you had in the past and when you lived up to doing ‘better’ than the pictures
We had reservations and were seated promptly. A simple dinner for 4 people ordering off their valentine specials took us just under 2 hours by the time we got dessert and left. Service was incredibly slow, it was not a full dinning room, and our server barely came to the table and when he did he didn’t make eye contact. It was over an hour before our main course arrived and we waiting 30 minutes for 2 simple desserts. The food was OK but not worth the money. One meal was not done right and was remade. No comp was offered, we paid well over $120 for a disappointing evening. No explanation was given for the all around long waits.
I got sick from the food and the waitress was grumpy and unfriendly all night
Shrimp tacos are really good. I had fish and chips and it was really greasy. Not sure it wasn’t under a heat lamp just waiting for me. I wouldn’t order it again. Your corn chips are the best I’ve ever had.
Everyone was very pleased with their meal and were making comments that they loved it! Personally my meal was excellent as I asked to have no seasoning as I can't handle spicy food.
My complaint is how poorly the menu is written for the salads. The wedge salad is $5.99 and then there is a line that says + shrimp is $7.29. That makes it look like a wedge with shrimp is $7.29 when it is actually over $13. It feels very misleading.
The food was excellent!! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive to our needs, (which weren’t many)!
The Vikings game was on so of course, there was excitement and some noise from all of us cheering the Vikings on with their win!!!
New Years day
My friends and I frequent this restaurant all the time and we keep coming back to it because the food has always been good and fresh and it’s fun to watch games in the bar or sit in the dining room and have conversations with friends or family.
Birthday and New Year’s Eve
Love Granite City and eat there on a regular basis. Went to the Yuletide Buffet on Christmas Eve and was a little disappointed with the buffet. Would have liked to see more salads, fruit, desserts, etc. Main entrees were great, just needed more of the sides to go with everything. The Lawless Brunch which is less money per person than the buffet has way more food choices.
food was cold and they needed more servers. ran out of a lot of stuff at the buffet
Wasn't impressed with anything. Have been before many years ago and probably won't be back.
Fantastic service, so attentive and kind. You never know what to expect in the bar area. Better chedda burger was one of the best burgers my partner had in a long time and he's a burger snob, I mean nearly everytime we eat out he orders a burger. Beer flight was a fun, inexpensive way to try a few beers. Noise level was moderate, it's a Saturday at 7 in a bar, its a fun, lively atmosphere. Menu has a lot of choices, sure to find something to your liking!
Good Afternoon. Thank you for your review and feedback. We greatly appreciate it. We can't wait to see you again very soon! Cheers, GCFB Management
Food was decent. Ordered the French onion soup and was very very salty and only ate it cause I needed to eat. Asked for the bowl size but got the cup size. Never got a chance to ask the waitress about it till I finicky cause she never came back around. Burger my boyfriend ordered was way too greasy to be enjoyable. Probably won’t be going back anytime soon.
The food was good, bu came with many vegetable than meat, the order was for two people. Service excellent
Our waitress only checked on us once during the whole experience and that was only to ask us if we were ready for the check. Someone else brought us our food and refilled our waters. we went without refills for an unacceptable amount of time. I understand things get busy but overall I was displeased with the service and will probably only go back for the beer and sit at the bar.
Thanksgiving family style dinner far exceeded all our expectations. We had just a short wait for our reservation for 10 people. The food was fabulous, the service excellent and the cost very reasonable.
Fabulous alternative to Thanksgiving and you don't have to clean up. Wonderful family style food and great staff. Will be back!
nice time, no rush....ample time to visit with guests
We really liked the online reservation option and quick seating. We were a bit disappointed to be in a dark corner booth . Food was good and server good. We will come again.
the fish and chips were served cold and the batter for the fish was too salty for human consumption
I had a great experience at granite city. It was nice to try some of their original beers. Their pretzel appetizer was excellent. My wife and I ordered pasta and we were impressed with both. We also ordered chocolate cake to go and it was some of the better chocolate cake I have had. It was not too noisy so my family could enjoy conversation. Our sever was friendly and attentive. I have had a lot of recent poor experiences at other restaurants, so it was refreshing to have such a good experience.
Our experience was terrible. We received our drinks and then waited about 20 minutes for our order to order to be taken. One entree arrived before anyone else. Then the second entree arrived. Finally the manager came over and said their was a problem. It still took another 10 minutes before her entree to arrive. Our waiter apologized at least 10 times and stated several times he didn’t know what the problem was. I noted he pulled the piece of paper where he wrote our order on from his pocket. It was a crumbled piece of paper We were comp’d our meal.
Inattentive waiter, dishes ( extra empty dishes)were dirty with crusted food on them. I had to return my dinner because it was too spicy which I was unaware that might be a problem.
Good food comfortably sat with friends to talk no pressure to leave
We were looking forward to the Octoberfest food. It was over by our visit on the 19th.
We ate their on a Sat. evening and the music was too loud. There were many kids with their parents and it was hear what the people at my table were saying. Otherwise everything else was great!
Delicious as always!
