Seated immediately after checking in. Winey Wednesday so 1/2 price bottle of a nice cabernet was in order. Started with the Vodka Mussels which were very good. Dinner was patty melt which was excellent... 1/2 pounder so brought half home.
Note: venue can get a bet boisterous in the evenings especially on game days so we choose a week day at 4:30 in the afternoon and arrived after the lunch crowd and before the after work bunch... this made for a nice, quiet dining experience in the main dining area.
Was awesome first experience for my brother and he loved all of it

Eggs were dryer than usual and the prime rib was cold. Otherwise the food and service were great!
I often meet my friends at Granite City. My friends live in Alexandria and I in Minneapolis. Food and service are always top notch.
We come here often and will continue to do so. This time, however, we were a bit disappointed with some of the food items we received. The ribs were well done, the burger was very greasing and the frys were too spicy. The management and wait staff were great about it. I still recommend this restaurant highly,.
We always enjoy a good time here with friends. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. The food is very good and priced well for what you get. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food, great service
Busy place. Took awhile to get our appetizers, were good though. Four of us went, 3 got food and one had to wait an extra ten minutes before his came out. Usually everyone gets food at same time. We all enjoyed it though.
I highly recommend this well established, friendly and professionally operated restaurant and bar. We come here often and have for years. The wait staff are outstanding and very helpful. The food is great and they are adding/changing their menu specials, yet keeping their favs.
It would be nice to get a couple extra napkins when served food. We always have to ask for an extra one. I heard other tables requesting more too. My daughter was waved down by a table thinking she worked there and they asked for napkins.
Granite City is a great place. We make a point of stopping in whenever we are in St. Cloud. The quality of the food is always excellent, and the staff always friendly and attentive. There was one interesting mishap on this last visit, but totally unrelated to the restaurant.
While I was in the restroom someone else, probably another customer, entered and left snapping off the lights when they exited the room leaving me in the dark! Emergency Light!?
The fries 2 people were so saltey they couldn’t eat them
Patio was wonderful and our server was friendly and prompt. Excellent experience!

I had a great dining experience at Granite City Food and Brewery. We dined on the patio. The ambience was great, and the soup and sandwich were delicious. The service was also very good.
The service and staff were great! The food, both dishes unfortunately were cold. And very disappointed in the crepes and definitely not worth $12.99.
We didn’t seem to mind to much though. We are glad to be helping out restaurants. But if people are going to come out during this pandemic you definitely should make sure the service,the food and the value is good!

Was dismayed that they allowed anyone to sit at the bar .... and then did not see bartender or anyone else clean the bar area where those people were sitting.
Nice patio dining although noisy right on a major road in the middle of the city. Food was just ok, salads a little limp and too much breading on the tuna.
Service lacking, food was very salty. Never got any refills on drinks. Menu looked interesting.
GC has a good happy hour. Food is good and beer is too!
While the food was excellent there was a considerable wait time, both for drinks, and food. Other than that, the service was friendly, and when available was helpful.
The only real negative is that while it is understood that this is a sports bar atmosphere it is annoying to have MMA matches on the tv in line of site. While this passes as entertainment for some, a real sporting event is preferable, be it football, baseball, etc. Seeing to people beat on each other while trying to eat is not entertainment.
It was a little challenging to get a reservation but I think that had more to do with the OpenTable app than the restaurant and any limitations for seating. Even though it was pretty windy, we sat outside and it was nice. The server was attentive but not over-bearing. The food was really good as we had a salad and sandwich.
We were so excited to get out to eat tonight, and GC was awesome! My husband and I had a great waitress, the nicest host/ young man and my picky husband loved his steak. Considering our fave place is Pittsburgh Blue, this is a huge compliment from a guy who knows good steak! Thank you GC, Covid 19 has been stressful, thank you for giving us a great meal & drinks that took our minds off of COVID 19
We have always loved siting on the patio on a nice summer day. The Chicken Salad is the best
Our waiter seemed confused about what he was to do. We asked for sweetener for iced tea and he couldn't find any. I asked for salt and pepper and it took asking 3 times to get it. I know life is different, but it would be nice to be able to have salt and pepper shakers on the table.
Granite City is our favorite because of great quality food and excellent service!!
We were happy to see the Irish menu was still on. This time I got the salmon and asparagus. It was perfect. We were really happy to see the new Irish ale and shot of Jameson's were also still available. The beer is excellent and Jameson's is, of course, Jameson's!
Amazing food and plenty of options. One thing I don’t like is where the buffet is located. It is right in front of the kitchen, so you feel like you are in the way of the servers. It also is very close to several tables, making you feel like you are joining someone while waiting in line.
We got our Irish on Saturday night. She had the ruben and I had the paddy melt, both of which were very good. But the best part was a pint of the newly tapped Irish red ale and a shot of Jameson for $8!
Granite City has fantastic food, great service, and a relaxed vibe. My girlfriend hated brussel sprouts before we went there. Now she tells me she wants to go back just for them!
The only thing I didn't like was that I was too full for dessert!
Tried the new steak bites. A few pieces were so tough I couldn’t get my fork into it. Not sure what cut if steak it was but had too much gristle. There was good flavor on the chewable pieces. Would give it another try.
They made substitutes to the meals without asking or notifying us and I couldn't eat the meal because of allergies. They didn't put in our appetizer order and there was no apology.
Best service ever and the ribeye was delicious

Although we thought the menus selections for the dinner for 2 deal could have been better, we were pleasantly surprised with how good the meal was. Service was great. The place was extremely busy so we expected service to be slow but it was not all that bad.
