Delicious food and amazing service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal
Enjoy the live music venue.
Bar creates interesting drinks.
First time there and it was a great experience. Really enjoyed the music, the food and the ambiance. The service was also great and we look forward to going back soon.
Grassos has music while you eat which was nice. We sat in the main dining room and it was a quiet Sunday night. The food was very good. It is expensive for a neighborhood restaurant but the portions were good size and everyone at our table enjoyed their food. I suggest the fish which was prepared very well. It is a nice transitional decor restaurant where you can enjoy a quality meal.
Grasso's is always a wonderful dining & listening experience!
Went to Grasso’s from brunch this past Sunday for a change. Usually we go for dinner. The service was outstanding. Sean the bartender sat us immediately and our server came just as quick with the menus and took our complimentary drink order. Our meal order was taken as soon as we made our selection, not an easy task selecting the right real with so much to select from. I had the lump crab omelet with home fries and Jack had the Nova lox with scrambled eggs. I can not convey to you how delicious it was. I am usually a fast eater but with the first taste I slowed down to enjoy the dish. Jack was just as happy with his meal. To then sit back and enjoy the music was a real treat. Thank you all so much. See you soon
Outstanding food and service. Live Jazz music adds to the ambiance
First time there- We can't wait to go back. Food / Service All Great.
Had amazing music with Larry & Jen. Combined with the great food and service, it was a great night.
make a reservation
it’s a wonderful experience
the crowd is mature and lovely
the service and quality of food is outstanding
the staff and owners very welcoming
the performers they hire are super Talented
We went for the Mardi Gras specials on Fat Tuesday. We went to enjoy the music as well as the food and both couldn’t have been better. We were seated right in front of the band but the music was thoroughly enjoyable without being deafening. We chose items from both the Mardi Gras and the regular menu. Each item was delicious! If i had an entire loaf of bread i would have soaked up every drop of liquid from the mussels in coconut milk. Jambalaya and Shrimp with grits were very flavorful and generous servings. Drinks and desserts were also delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
There were 5 of us and as usual we all loved everything from the service to the food to the live music. Great evening great restaurant.
Great swordfish special!!! And the entertainment was superb.
Fabulous evening. Great food. Great music. Great ambiance.
Love this place excellent food and music great service
A wonderful evening for my husband and me celebrating Valentines’s Day just two days late. We were greeted warmly by Mrs. Grasso who showed us to a perfectly lovely table not too far from the live music combo of singers:musicians. Delightful drinks. Fabulous menu The prosciutto wrapped figs with arugula appetizer was perfection. I enjoyed the duck immensely and the tartufo dessert was the best I ever had. Our server Jeremy allowed time for us to linger and savor each course. We will be returning soon.
Excellent wine selection, attentive servers, nice ambiance overall.
One of my all-time favorite spots, for the last 20 years! Great ambiance, always a delish meal (I'm not a big dessert person, but the Bananas Foster is A MUST!). Anyplace that has live music nearly every night is A+ in my book! No matter how packed, you never feel rushed or you need to get going because your table's needed. A "Cheers-like" atmosphere. Fun, friendly local venue, for an after work drink or a special occasion! Highly recommended!
Wonderful ambiance for a leisurely brunch or an elegant dinner. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. The excellent live music makes Grasso’s a truly unique dining experience. And of course Grasso’s offers great food at reasonable prices. The Banana Foster Flambé French Toast we had for brunch is simply sublime. Also highly recommended is the Zucchini Linguine we’ve had for dinner. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
Great food and service. Nice atmosphere with the music
This is our go to restaurant since we moved to nearby Lloyd Harbor. The food is top notch, the ambience is classy but fun. The service is the best.
Over-priced, rushed service - disappointed overall.
Wow! Just wow! Told my sister I was going here for Valentine’s Day and she said “oh let me know how it is... that’s on our list of places to go.” After dinner yesterday I recommended she SHOULD NOT waste her time. I made a reservation on Open Table after looking at their website. There was NO mention of a special Valentine’s Day menu and NO menu posted. On their site were all of their regular menus and the already OUTDATED restaurant week menu from two weeks ago. When we get there we are only allowed to order off the Valentine’s Day menu even though the menu bundle they handed us showed all menus with the Valentine’s Day menu printed on top and with prices 50% higher. I am a vegetarian and specifically planned to get the mushroom risotto. They wouldn’t make it for me and when I ordered a salad (the only other vegetarian item on the menu besides the vegan zucchini noodles) and asked to switch the goat cheese to Gorgonzola they even gave me a hard time about that and I ended up blue cheese. Our waiter was the only saving grace but honestly everyone else was stiff, stuffy, and unaccommodating.
No one asked to take our jackets yet they hung everyone else’s and the hostess asked the couple before us if they wanted to sit by the live music or not. We were not asked a table preference and were put in a corner on the other side no where near the music. I honestly felt like I was being shunned. So rude and so sad I’ll never go back. Guess I’ll just stick to the lovely Sand Bar in Cold Spring Harbor.
Grasso’s was a wonderful place to have a Valentine’s Day dinner. The meal was wonderful, service was excellent. We were only disappointed that there was a separate valentines menu with raised prices. The meal is expensive enough....
Was totally over priced - food was not cooked right - quality of food product was poor
My lamb was undercooked. The lobster bisque was too tomatoey. I got a dirty look for not checking my coat, but it was chilly in there. Not great. Sad, it was our anniversary.
We had lovely service. The music was a special addition to an overall lovely atmosphere.
Felt they rushed us toward the end. We got there early 5:30 apt and by 7:00 they were hovering over us trying to get us out.
Recommended to a friend and they came the next night and enjoyed it
A Long Island treasure. Excellent talent, great food and service.
Wonderful, all around. Very attentive staff, excellent food, great music.
Outstanding food -- we enjoyed lobster bisque and grilled swordfish with risotto and spinach as well as dessert for final night of restaurant week. The music was excellent! A lovely evening out!
This is a one-of-a-kind experience here in the Huntington / Cold Spring Harbor area, where you get a chance to listen to a variety of wonderful live jazz (and similar) music while experiencing a very well prepared meal, great service, and what has become a North Shore institution. It is not to be missed, and should be experienced often. Kudos to Gail Grasso, and all those who make this place a true find.
Our first time at Grasso's. Recommended by a friend. Great food, great music. Coming back next month!
We went to Grasso's during restaurant week and it was great. I love everything about this place. The food, the service and the music! Additionally, I have only been there twice but each time I was there, I was greeted by the owner who took the time to talk with us and find out how our experience was at her restaurant. I plan on going back!
Great service and food they also have entertainment.
Music was very loud- very difficult to have a conversation, but otherwise excellent
Grassos had a wonderful restaurant week menu. We were there Thurs. night and the music was wonderful.
We went to the restaurant for Restaurant Week. The burrata and butternut squash appetizer, baby lamb chop entree and chocolate ganache dessert were superb! The bread was wonderful. The swordfish was dry which was why I did not offer a 5 star review. Also, it felt rushed as though they were trying to get us out quickly.
Fun night. Added pleasure of 3 piece jazz band.
