A unique and wonderful place with live music and dancing
Our first time eating and Grays and we were amazed at the atmosphere and charm..even the bathrooms. Aiden our waiter was especially good. Very Good with people and attentive to our needs.
The food amazing. The value amazing. The ambience amazing. My friends and I enjoyed every bit of our time at grays. Our server was super nice and everything was delicious. Coming back tomorrow haha!
The brunch was disappointing. The selection was minimal and it wasn’t good.
Service was slow. Food was average at best. Location and building is great. But it’s not a good restaurant.
Too expensive for what was offered. Food was good but not worth the price.
Great tango scene. Good food and drinks. Good Sunday night out.
Capability to stipulate upstairs dining at Grays should be available on reservation.
One of the worst brunch buffet's I've been to. Not many options, eggs were cold and rubbery, bacon was overdone, strange pasta salads didn't belong there, and the desserts tasted like they opened up Little Debbie treats and served them. Overpriced for the options. It's a shame because before the new ownership, the brunch buffet was really great when it was The Loring.
Such a cool building but fries were overdone and cold, burger too salty, bun forgettable unlike the bread from the artichoke dip which was delicious.
A unique and large venue. Took a minute to find the hostess stand which is set quite a ways inside the main door. Wait staff was quite nice and prompt except for when I questioned if I was supposed to get bread with my salad. The first wait person never came back after asking so I asked the other person. She did have to look into it but found the menu does state that but it is not something they've been doing. Really no biggee, but not sure why first person just gave up on it.
Burger and fries were really good, well done
The Cobb salad was satisfying but not really covered in the "typical" cobb salad toppings. The only meat was cut up thinly sliced deli ham. I can't recall now if there were tomatoes... Still good and the blue cheese dressing was yummy, but not sure I'd call it the traditional cobb. Maybe a "nod to a cobb" would be a better name.
Some students were using the locale as a study spot and there were some couples, small groups and parent/student patrons.
I'd recommend this for a meal with a your student if you are visiting the U, or just happen to be looking for a place to eat in the area.
I saw they have a large coffee menu and a full bar, as well.
Great spot! Definitely on the pricey side, but had a great brunch with the family
I really liked everything about it and the food was surprisingly delicious.
This place uses QR codes to place orders, and this one did not accept the pre-paid coupon I had gotten via the web site. Had to go to the bar and have them enter it manually...a lot of hassle for something that should just work...
We went for pregame dinner and drinks before a hockey game. Great food, drinks, good beer selection and excellent service. There were 5 of us and we ordered a burger, sandwich, salad, wings and fries. Everyone had a great meal. It’s a nice change from the stadium village bar scene for pregaming. Location is great for getting to anything on campus and love the new owners have kept the charm of the decor of the building. Highly recommend for any occasion! We will definitely be back.
It just wasn’t the experience we were used to having. It was an off night. The food was Not as expected and they were out of rice! They seemed to have plenty of staff , but maybe they were all new hires. It use to be a go to for date night, sadly that has changed.
I should mention The staff did apologize for the “off night”
This place is amazing! Great food and even greater ambience!
We had an outstanding excellent experience at Graze restaurant. The waitress was attentive friendly accountable transparent and the food was outstanding as well we will be back thank you so much
Hotel-style buffet in both quality and options. However, the price is fair.
Good food and excellent service. They really went above and beyond. Special thanks to our waitperson Tristan and the manager Lynn. We will be back as we have decided this is the place we’ve been looking for, for our upcoming wedding.
The overall location is great for a night out. The building is cool and set up for different types of events. The wait staff seemed flustered, overwhelmed and unsure how to manage the flow of customers. they seemed to have a good system with two wait staff, a bartender and a runner for food.
However upon our arrivals one wait staff seemed to have gotten the most flustered and took 10-15 minutes to talk to everyone about the place being busy. they did have some open tables but 7 tables ranging from 2 guests to 5 guests sat within a 10 minute period.
They took table orders one at a time and took about 10 minutes per table to take an order. After 20 minutes only 2 table orders had been placed, another person came out from the back to help. another 10 minutes went by and 2 more tables orders were placed, 2 tables walked out and we almost did as well as we had a show to get to. They reassured us we were next to be helped.
The kitchen was great we got our food in no time at all, it was at the right temperature and tasted great. We put in our drink and food order at the same time, we got our food and drinks at the same time.
The nail in the coffin is the tab was brought to our table and sat there for 10 minutes. We put our card in it right away and the table runner associate brought it to the wait staff when we got up to bring it ourselves. Upon reviewing the receipt that was ran we were charged for another tables tab. Fortunately it was less than a $1 difference so we did not dispute it.
One staff admitted they knew about the show happening just blocks away but didn't staff for it as they didn't think people would come. It is a great place, reasonably priced, great location and great food options. They look recently remodeled and had a name change. I feel they need to work with Open Table to ensure they are not over booking themselves to their staffing.
We put in a reservation but no one seemed to be checking reservations to make sure quests were showing up.
We did not try the food. What we thought was brunch was instead a buffet-during COVID! Could not do it. After the 20 minute wait to be seated for a serve yourself buffet line, the hostess never returned with the promised “green wristbands”. Service was overwhelmed and there wasn’t a mask to be seen. Had a GREAT burger instead in the patio at the Hideaway!!! Try it👍
Food was good. Service was slow for the amount of people at restaurant. The place used to feel more festive... now it feels kind of dark and cavelike.
Gray’s had excellent food and service. We’ll definitely eat there again.
Great food, charming atmosphere…only minor issue is their tableside payment option did not work very well…
Also, minor gripe in that the mimosas continue to seem to be quite watered down…
The building is great, but that is a hold-over from Loring Pasta Bar. Back then it had energy and a lengthy menu and often live music.
Menu was small and lacked diversity.
Hush puppies were dry and bland.
Meals were unremarkable.
Mixed drinks were weak.
Overall, we won’t return.
Great evening of awesome live music, good food, and outstanding service
Amazing ambience…good food, freshly prepared…were there for brunch buffet, which is hard to come by these days!
Food sounded creative and tasty on the menu however the Ecuadorian pork plate arrived cold while the beer was warm. Service was friendly and timely.
Server Katherine was Wonderful.
A wonderful evening, great to meet Lynn. Good food and good to have tango and live music back. Thanks.
It would be nice if someone in the kitchen actually had a passion for creating good food. The Greek salad was the house salad with some olives and Feta. The tomatoes made me think it was January in MN.
Paul, Thank you for providing feedback on the Greek Salad. We strive to make good food. I will address this with the chef and we'll discuss appropriate changes. Thanks for coming in last night and hope to see you again at Tango. Lynn Nyman
Service was just awful. It used to be so good. Yesterday we were waiting for server over half an hour, finally we went to the bar to order. Food was not great in addition to unqualified service. Finally, my friend didn’t get her dish till near the end of the evening ( even though she no longer wanted it because we shared our food with her) the her card had overcharged items. Disappointed!
We loved live music and that would be a reason for us to come back. I sincerely hope management will make changes for the better
Mariola, Thank you for your commentary. You and your guests expected good service and you didn't receive that. I am so very sorry we let you down. This should not have happened. We are working on the service issue and we hope you will come again for Tango night. Can we make this up to you? Please let us now. Sincerely, Lynn Nyman Owner and Chief Manager
The food was not great and the service was not either. Not many options for brunch and the servers were rude.
Weekday brunch. Was lovely. Fun ambiance and food is always excellent.
Fabulous ambiance & delicious foods!
The food was good, the service was good also! But, value for the options a little expensive
Went here for our daughters grad. We have been here several times before.
Sadly this is a shadow of the former resturant that existed in the same place. On a Saturday night is was almost empty - maybe this is the Covid effect as Dinky town was pretty quiet.
However the “scratch food” menu was pretty limited and though quite inexpensive there was not a lot to choose from.
The pasta dish white sauce was underwhelming but the appetizers were just fine.
The service though was attentive and as a result I hope that with relaxing of Covid rules this will return to its previous level.
Will definitely be coming back! Reminds me of the harry potter movies!!
Very eclectic place. Decor is just fun. Food was good, it was Mother's Day Buffet and as they go was fair. Would like to try off the menu sometime.
