   Here to celebrate a wedding- had a beautifully light lunch yesterday and wonderful breakfast this am! I didn’t see anything I could eat on the menu because I wasn’t terribly hungry- the Chef prepared a delicious piece of seared salmon with light greens- amazing!

   We shared the Valentine’s Experience Saturday night. It was a beautiful evening from start to finish . The staff was attentive, the food delicious and the private alcove was very romantic . I felt like we had stepped back in time. I was sorry that we were not able to spend the night . We will return soon . Thank you for a memorable evening .

    My husband and I had a birthday brunch at the restaurant. Interior is tastefully done and elegant. We were the only guests on a weekday brunch and it felt a little empty. The food was good, but not exceptional. The prices on the other hand were rather exceptional. Love that you can walk right over to National Geographic’s, which is worth visiting.

    A delightful brunch.The atmosphere was great. The food was delicious but the portions were adequate to small. Left satisfied, not full. Expect to pay for ambiance and fresh ingredients. We thought it was well worth it .

    Had a lovely brunch at the Greenhouse. The staff allowed my friend and I to chat without interruption for about half an hour - they noticed we hadn't opened our menus and so wouldn't be ready to order. After ordering, the food came promptly and was delicious. The service is excellent and you get to feel very fancy in this lovely environment.

    We had breakfast and it was not worth the money! The room is lovely and the service was good. But the meal serves were very small for the cost. Eg $13 USD for a glass of OJ.

    We went for their Christmas Eve dinner. At $170pp, I expected the food to be next-level, but it was fairly average. The appetizer was decent enough, although the soup was lukewarm. The beef was overcooked, but the dessert was delicious. Overall, it was certainly a decent meal, just not a good value for the money.

    Celebrated Christmas Eve morning brunch with a friend. Everything was delicious, ambience perfect. Didn’t realize the fresh orange juice was $16+ a glass so that was a bit of a shock when the bill arrived but otherwise the experience was wonderful and we will be back!

    The Greenhouse restaurant at the Jefferson Hotel offers a beautiful setting wonderfully decorated for the holidays. Impressive seasonal menu beautifully presented. Very enjoyable evening can't wait to return. Perfect for date night or quiet conversation.

    Excellent meal. Being picky 1) stuffing with Thanksgiving meal was overthought, too fussy. Everything else was delicious. 2) dessert menu should have had a chocolate option. 3) waiter should ask if we wanted to take home leftovers- there was a lot of turkey left over and while appreciated the huge portion, I think it is a sin to waste food but in a fancy restaurant I was too embarrassed to ask for a carton but if asked would have said “yes.” Especially for thanksgiving the leftovers are the best part. 4) for close to $500, for just my husband and me, I would think we would have both been given a goody bag of 3 caramels. 5) menu lacked “mock tails” and other soft drinks. Espresso coffee drinks would be welcome. These are my thoughts because this is my go-to for a an amazing D.C. dining experience. I will definitely be back for another great meal. Thank you. Nancy

    The ambiance and service was top-notch. The food, presented well, but way overpriced. We have eaten at several Michelin starred restaurants for less money. The Thanksgiving menu looked promising but the turkey was dry and the green beans were boring. The polenta with black truffle was bland. We spent $1000 for our family of five, they charged my 14 and 12 year old $155 each for a Thanksgiving dinner they didn’t like. My 10 yr old was charged $65 and she only ate the salmon for dinner. Nothing kid-friendly was offered. No rice or pasta to go with her salmon. I was expecting a fabulous meal for a thousand dollars, unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food.

    Our visit was for our Thanksgiving Day mid-day meal. The ambience and service were outstanding, the flower arrangements were stunning, and the holiday decorations were lovely. The biscuits were exquisite and moist - just the right size. The salad with pecans, dried cranberries, and goat cheese was delicious, with a nice balance of sweet and tart, and not over-dressed. My husband says his butternut squash soup with crab meat was wonderful. My teenage daughter and my other daughter’s boyfriend both enjoyed the polenta with truffles and fois gras, which were new flavors to both of them. The roasted turkey was tender and sufficiently moist, though the accompanying sauce was thin and not traditional and the flavor was not enjoyable to me. My husband had the same reaction. The stuffing was just okay and not traditional. I personally would have preferred a more traditional stuffing, or a slightly sweetened cornbread stuffing. The cranberry sauce and the purée sweet potatoes were both wonderful, though slightly more sweet potatoes would have been welcome. The green beans were a fresh and simple accomplishment. Very enjoyable. The pumpkin pie was beautiful and delicious, though slightly less sugar would have made it even better. Overall, we had a very nice time in a gorgeous setting. The only improvements I suggest would be to the turkey sauce and the stuffing.
