Grey Stone Fine Food and Spirits
This was our first time dining at Grey Stone and didn’t know what to expect. We wanted to take my dad out for a nice meal. He can be pretty picky but I have to say he enjoyed every bite as did my husband and I. We will definitely be back.
Place had an amazing selection of food! Hey oh could go with more expensive options and less expensive options. The sides themselves were amazing the appetizers were large portions and delicious as well. They accommodated my 14 month so well. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Sunday evening and didn’t feel like cooking. Service was outstanding even with lots of diners on an early Sunday night. The chef had a few additions and I chose the branzini. Roasted whole ,with fennel , artichokes, tomatoes, olives, and couscous.(and lemon of course)It was the best fish dish I ever had! It was perfectly deboned and seasoned just right. A glass of Pinot Grigio and a wonderfully prepared dish . This place never disappoints. Mother’s Day reservations are still available.
Love the physical space, delicious food, good wine & great service. Highly recommend!
Great meal! I recommend the short ribs - delicious!
We have been several times and have had several different things on the menu. Lovely place with very nice staff. The menu has something for everyone. You can’t go wrong here.
Great Blackened Shrimp w Rice & Beans... Delicious!
We were celebrating my husband’s dinner with our children. Boys had cheesesteaks, we had meals. General Tso’s cauliflower was spectacular as usual! All delicious food.
Beautiful restaurant, fabulous food, amazing staff!
If you have not been here, you must go!
It was a very pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. The wait staff was very eager to please and we also met one of the owners, Mary. The short rib sandwich was tender and the horseradish accent was just enough. Others had the pulled pork and turkey sandwiches. There were no leftovers. We had room for dessert and we chose 3 mouth watering selections. Thank you for sharing a special birthday celebration!
The apps were very good. My salmon dinner was way too salty. The noise level with the band was too loud from where we were sitting. (Downstairs in room with fireplace). The staff was nice. The fireplace room was interesting. All of the warm air hovered about two feet from the top of the table, below that, (below the table) it was very cold. Perhaps a ceiling fan to force the warm air down would help?
Food is delicious especially the general tso’s cauliflower. Donna is a great server and we request her whenever we go. All of the staff is so friendly and accommodating.
good service for party of six. everyone enjoyed their meal
Mardi Gras week at Grey Stone. The chef had 5 entrees added for the occasion so we tried two of them. Pictured below.
We were not disappointed. Started with fried oysters made properly with seasoned, coarsely ground corn meal. (Wish they served more then 8 because my wife ate half of them!) I ordered the prawn and crab cakes with an okra veg side and rice and beans. My wife had a authentic Muffaletta with fries. Brianna was attentive and very familiar with all the new additions to the menu. They were delicious. We arrived at 6:30 on a Thursday and the bar area was full and there was a gathering upstairs. The restaurant is popular with the Yardley-Newtown crowd and is becoming known as the place to go for drinks and good food. Summer time is just around the corner and their outdoor dining area is wonderful.
Greg did a great job
The restaurant was incredibly load! We had to shout to talk with each other. My husband ordered soup. He had to ask 3 times to get a spoon. The food was bland and over priced
We go here often and took friends here for their first time. They were very impressed with the ambiance, food, cocktails and service. They kept raving about their experience and they will be back as well.
Service was slow. The dining room was VERY noisy! The food was good not spectacular. I would go there again but only after the list of other choices was exhausted for availability.
Had gnocchi which was excellent and another party had shrimp risotto. Hummus plate was plenty for four people. We also had the cauliflower. High recommend!
Best meal we’ve had in the Newtown area. Very fresh ingredients and every bite was delicious. Attentive service. Will be back.
Amazing restaurant for any occasion. Drinks and food are outstanding. Service is impeccable. Great overall experience!
We went on a crowded Saturday evening. Service was slow but mostly due to the amount of tables our server was working. Our orders varied from a burger -delicious, salmon - solid, salads - very good. Chicken breast - just ok. It was a french cut which if i was told ahead of time i would have avoided. Drinks were fairly priced. In the bar area - which was adjacent to our room they had live music which was a nice touch.
The staff was great! The food was amazing. Nice variety of choices. The beer variety was also awesome!
The food and service were great, the noise level however was over the top. very annoying, couldn't hear the person next to you.
Good service and excellent food! We ordered specials off the valentines menu which was in addition to the usual menu. We ordered wasabi tuna and duck breast. Both were outstanding as was the dual heart dessert.
The short rib fries were outstanding. Over all our dinner was great from start to finish.
Great valentines day experience. Thanks
Lovely ambiance. We went for Valentine's day dinner. It was busy, so things went a little slowly but the did was solid and the service excellent. Would return.
Had a reservation for 7:45 and were not seated until 8:45. Our server was not attentive and we had to ask another server for our bill after waiting 25
Minutes as our server disappeared in the back. Food was just ok and not really worth the $$. Would recommend other places near by for better food and service.
Food quality and quantity exceeded expectations. Appetizer Gen Tsao cauliflower was excellent! Entres we enjoyed included salmon (cooked perfectly as requested) and seared tuna that came out as rare as it is supposed to be. Soba noodle bed for the tuna was a bit too sweet, but otherwise it was a very enjoyable meal. The seasonal cheesecake was terrific!
Service was good, not great. Examples: had to ask for water, had to ask for bread. Water refills were delayed. Dessert came out long after coffee was served. But on the upside, the staff was friendly and you could tell they were trying.
Just feels like they still have to figure out a level of service that corresponds to the setting and quality of the food in order to make this dining experience truly memorable.
Food was good except for the dessert. The two hearts cake was dry. My wife enjoyed her filet, though it wasn’t very warm. My braised short ribs were perfect. Felt it was a bit pricey for the value.
Valentines dinner date. Was seated at a tiny table in a cramped room.
The food was prepared as requested, and seasoned just right, the service was very good but not exceptional, the atmosphere was exciting for a Friday night, the overall experience was very enjoyable.
We have been there for their Happy Hour specials over the past few years and have always enjoyed our time there. This was the first time we went for dinner, and was thrilled that we did. We really enjoyed the food, and the attention that the staff paid to us.
We will go back again and again.
Excelllent in all ways.
Was perfect in ever way! Great special Menu for 2 which is what we wanted to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Service was great, and ambiance was so pretty with all red accents, lovely fireplace and food was delicious! This was only our second time there and will definitely go back with friends.
Great meal, gluten free available. We will return.
What a find!!! We loved every minute of our visit. From the attentive staff to the exquisite food! We went to celebrate my husbands birthday and had one of the best meals of our lives. And that includes quite a bit of traveling. Can’t wait to go back!
Another fine dinner at Grey Stone, valet parking makes it so nice on a rainy night. Reservations on Friday at 8pm, sat us right away in a cozy side room with a working fire place. Quiet enough for recapping our week , over wine and cocktails expertly prepared.
I had the crab cake( special add on for the night) came with a wild rice and grilled asparagus and a wonderful mayo-siracha sauce. My Wife had shrimp risotto, creamy with enough shrimp to share, and we a shared a salmon bisque soup that was generous with fish and perfectly seasoned.
Never had a bad meal here yet, and if we did accommodated any” hiccup” I’m sure.
There is a three course prix fixe menu of $25.00 on Tues and Wednesday and a steak and wine dinner with salad, sides, and dessert for $90.00 on Thursdays. Greystone is a great place for a business lunch on weekdays.
We've been here several times before and always had a delicious meal. Servers are always professional, prompt, and informative. We had ribeye steak, salmon, and the shoty ribs. All were delicious and the presentation was spot on. The desert selections are always interested and change from one visit to the next. The bar area has entertainment and is fun for an after dinner cocktail and dancing.
