Gunther & Co.
A beautiful setting for a nice evening. Great wines and friendly waiters.
Perfect place for a double date! You can access the menus online. The appetizers are only enough for one person so make sure you order accordingly.
Excellent ambience, big light airy room and very pleasant atmosphere. Every dish we ordered was delicious although baked oysters could use less salt. Recommend the pavlova for dessert. Service could not be better. Cannot wait to return!!
Our family loves this restaurant and we were happy to support Moveable Feast and Dine Out for Life. The food is consistently amazing and our service was lovely.
Came for my partner's bday and it was sweet that our server brought us a small dessert w/ candle even though we expressed we were very full from an amazing meal.
Grilled Oysters - so much flavor, fantastic
Pork Belly - The sauce was everything
Tahini Ceaser - Just as good as the first time we had it, although a tad on the lemony side this time where I would prefer more savory tahini flavor.
Shrimp roll - my partner loved it, fries were made perfectly
Thai Hot Pot - my go-to, reminds me of my many travels to Thailand. Very spicy, so don't order unless you can handle it. I really wanted to drink the soup, but my tongue probably wouldn't have enjoyed that.
Kevin Smash - On the sweeter side from my memory of ordering it before. My partner always orders it when we come.
Negroni of the week - I always order negronis and this one hit the spot just right.
The reason for the one-star service review is that Gunther & Co. have a terrible policy regarding serving alcohol to people who are legally entitled to purchase it. Their policy is that they will not accept a "vertical" ID, even if the ID clearly belongs to the person presenting it, is not expired, and shows a birth date that proves the person is at least 21 years of age. This was a huge disappointment to our family who went to Gunther's to celebrate the 21st birthday of one of our children.
The problem, of course, is that if you got your driver's license before you turned 21, it is "vertical", and the state does not automatically mail you another one when you turn 21. So at restaurants that have this policy (which is unique to this particular restaurant in my experience) you are not entitled to purchase alcohol until the next time you get your license renewed, which could be years after you turn 21.
So just beware if you plan to go here with an adult child who has not gotten a license renewal after turning 21.
Great job. Highly recommend. Great for business meeting.
I really enjoyed everything. Will be returning soon.
Dinner on the lovely patio. Server was professional and warm. Food was well prepared.
The patio seating was lovely, our server was very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu, and the food was delicious. Wonderful dining experience!
Always delicious! Thier "KEVIN SMASH" is the best drink for any occasion. Always.
Great dinner. Wonderful service. Would definitely return!
Amazing atmosphere, great food and fantastic service. We have always enjoyed our visit to Gunther.
Fantastic outdoor brunch in their courtyard! Food, setting and service all top notch. Don't miss the biscuits!!
The outdoor patio is nice and the service was very attentive, but the menu was hit or miss. The charcuterie board was very good, but the entrees were okay. We got sandwiches, Thai hot pot, and the duck dish. Finer nuanced flavors seemed to be lacking. ( for the price) The desserts were very good, especially the Pavlova. However, I was very happy that they had gluten free options and dairy free sorbet. They do a great job making birthday celebrations special!
Reserved bar, got put at a table near bar. The tables and chairs are the size of children. My girlfriends and I are six foot tall. Left with pain and cramps. When we asked for a manger to say the only bad thing was putting us at a table when we reserved bar, the manager never came. Btw there were open spots at the bar (seats not leaned in) seems like they were saving those for walk ins.
Ambiance was very nice, and food was sooo good!
Our first time experience was very positive with one exception. While the food, service, and ambiance was very good we had a negative experience with one of the floor managers. It would be very helpful for this person to gain a better understanding of improving customer relations.
Our entire dining experience was great. We would highly recommend the restaurant. Thank you.
The brisket hash was not as flavorful as I would have expected.
Everything was excellent!
My friend and I were eating and after sitting for one hour (just finished our meal), we were told we needed to “close out” because another reservation was made for our table. We were told to go to the bar after if we wanted a nightcap or dessert. We went inside and there was no space at the bar. The host was extremely frazzled when we explained the situation. A manager then placed us at… the kitchen bar. Which is facing the kitchen and watching them work. May be cool… but less cool when that’s not the ambiance we were going for. Overall, I always want to like this place and am always disappointed. I’ll add a picture of what was at the bottom of my wine glass.
Really enjoyed it here, great food and great service !
Had the octopus appetizer. Thought it was delicious. Portions seemed much smaller than on my last vist. Not worth the price. Also had the oyster appetizer. Thought it was excellent and fairly priced.
Vibe was amazing. Food was eh and kind of overpriced
Great food, service and atmosphere!!!
Overall I will definitely go again for brunch. The prices were reasonable and the menu had a good variety of flavors.
We were lucky and they had a special for mimosas which our server mentioned to us just in time. The ambiance is industrial with lots of glass and plants. I loved the decor and furniture compliments the structure.
Had a great time Celebrating my 53rd birthday. The hostess was courteous and friendly. The food was DELICIOUS!
Great service, value and quality. Safety protocols are in-place.
Was excellent as always!
The service was outstanding, the food was good just some of the combinations were a tad strange. Example a beautiful piece of halibut, that was delicious, on top of cold stiff noodles and cold vegetables. I was expecting them to be hot and I think would have enhanced the dish much more. The fried green tomatoes, burrata and oyster appetizers were very good.
The best restaurant in Baltimore, down to the details. I always have such an amazing time here. Make sure to walk around every dining room to take it all in. The scallops and the hanger steak frites are my go-tos.
We've had dinner several times at G& Company. Tried brunch and loved it. Our waiter was spot on and the food was quick and excellent. The biscuits are amazing! We also tried the two mocktails and loved the hibiscus one best.
Great place. Never disappoints
Fabulous all around! Enjoyed our server, the food, etc.
What a setting for an incredible meal! The outdoor space is gorgeous and the food and cocktails were even better. Can’t wait to go back again.
Gunther & Co is reliably excellent. We were happy to bring our out of town guests for brunch. The restaurant is attractive, staff is attentive, and the food is very good. Having only been there for dinner on several occasions, we were pleased that brunch was just as enjoyable.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Great menu options. Can’t wait to come back.
My favorite restaurant in Baltimore! I will miss this experience as I am leaving tomorrow.
