Gyu-Kaku - Arlington, VA
We love this place!! Definitely will go back again for BBQ!!
Extremely Poor service. Server routinely forget to bring food items out. Some items did not come out until after the meal was over even after reminding server and manager numerous times that we did not receive our food orders. Didn’t refill our drinks on time and had to keep reminding to refill drinks. A few times the drinks were not correct but we drank them anyway because of the long wait. Server Turned off the grill to replace the grill grates but didn’t come back to replace the grill after Reminding server numerous times to replace grill or at least turn it back on. We sat around for 20 minutes waiting to grill. When bringing out desert items server did not bring out spoons or plates for us to enjoy the deserts. We asked for spoons and plates numerous times but server just brought out the check instead. Food was really good but service was extremely poor. Talked to the manager after receiving bill about our poor experience. Manager reduced bill. Will not be visiting again.
It was the first time and not the last:)
The food is good but service is just okay.
It was great! Always is... i always take my friends and family for a new dining experience. Will return!
Took my husband here for his birthday so we could try a new restaurant in our area. Fun dinner and great service
Services are the best I never saw in the past especially Sharon. She is the best.
Amazing experience and our server filled us in on everything we needed to know!
Delicious food. The beef tongue was amazing. Will definitely go back just for that.
Good and nice!
Small portions, overpriced. Sukiyaki bibimbap was terrible—tasted like rice and bean paste.
Servers are always friendly whenever I've been here. They are especially helpful for first timers explaining the menu and how to cook.
Here you cook all your own meats or fishes, which took most of my time once I did that for myself and my husband. Some of the food was flavorful but some just ordinary. It was ver crowded and therefore super noisy. The servers try hard. Overall just an ok expérience - lots of work on my party for a meal that wasn’t extraordinary. I’ve found my Korean bbq experiences more flavorful!
Overall, a wonderful night; however, my wife bit into an “avocado seed” and almost broke her tooth. The server promised to remove it from the bill but nothing was taken off the bill. I’ve been to a few locations in Hawaii and Japan and thought the presentation was great and the food was above average.
I would go again but will be wary of seeds in my food going forward.
We ordered Meat Lover's, and thought it was a great value! The food was plenty for three of us! Highly recommend it.
Way too loud to carry on a conversation. One suggestion is to turn off your background music when the restaurant gets crowded.
Excellent service as always. The food is great although Some marinated meat can be a little too sweat.
We love Gyu Kaku restaurants and this Arlington location is no exception! Affordable, delicious, and they have a rewards app. We will definitely be back.
We recently discovered Gyu-Kaku and are very delighted. It can be tough to get a table so plan ahead. The quality of the food, especially meats, is very good, and it is a fun experience to cook by the table. Definitely one of the higher quality restaurants around in Arlington.
The waitstaff were very helpful explaining the length of time to cook each meat. They were prompt with cleaning up dishes and delivering food and drinks.
My brother was visiting from Cali where they have a location and he always told me cane highly recommended. The food was not unlimited(all you can eat) considering normal Korean BBQ is unlimited meats as in Iron Age, Honey Pig, etc. had pretty much package and nice choices for the a la carte menu. Liked the s’mores and the calamari but the amount of meat for the packages were not substantial, even when you add more meat still was 2 pieces (the most) for a 7$ plate of meat. Had really great service but not your ideal Korean BBQ unlimited all you can eat spot.
Gyu-Kaku was excellent from start to finish. The staff was superb, and food was delicious. It is also a fun family experience, and we will certainly go back again.
Not a big fan of their garlic fried rice and spicy galbi soup. soft tofu soup was okay, but was more like kimchi soup. Meat were marinated little too much to my taste. Horumon was good. Shrimp shumai and tofu appetizer are not bad, mushroom medley was good but wish it was not marinated. Spinach garlic was good.
Second time eating at this restaurant but for my birthday this time. The food was just as good as last time, granted the value was not amazing but the quality clearly makes up for that. Our waitress was amazing that night.
I’ve been to Gyu Kaku in other cities, and it hasn’t disappoint me this time!! Love the food here, nice meat, nice dessert, nice rice and dumplings.. It’s a good place for friend reunion and celebration.
The staff, food and ambiance were great. I had a great time again at this place and would recommend it.
Great ambiance and delicious food! Manager and staff were very accommodating and made it a very authentic experience.
Fantastic food and great service. Absolutely recommend.
Service was awesome and friendly!! Was celebrating good times with family!!
Good quality of meet for BBQ.
A must try! Bring your whole family! Drinks are good 👍
Awesome food, great service, at a reasonable price.
Amazing food! The service was great and the menu was explained thoroughly. Glad to have a Korean BBQ spot nearby.
The food was delicious! Experience was fantastic!
Very nice staff. Especially Jane, she forgot one of our dishes but instantly apologized and gave us discount and free ice cream
Great service, food and experience! Definitely going back!
Great place for Gluten allergies! We could eat most everything and had no negative reaction (due to cross-contamination). Our waitress was super nice and helpful in advising us what to stay away from.
Food was well seasoned and delicious as well, we definitely left full.
The only minor down-side, was that it got pretty hot in there especially since we are so close to the cooking source, so perhaps setting the AC a little higher would be the answer.
Food is good and the service is exceptional! A must visit! It has become one of my favorite place to eat! Keep up the good work!!
The staff are very friendly and very helpful, and they deliver our orders, which were added during our meal, promptly. The place is not too noisy, and the ventilation is well that there is not much of a left-over smell on clothes after the meal. I highly recommend this place.
19th Bday celebration
This was one of our faves in Japan and while a bit different that those experiences, was still great food/fun time!
