    Food is ok for what you pay for with the fun family BBQ attraction. Meat is definitely better than the Korean BBQ on Westheimer and Louisiana. Could not rate higher the service as I didn’t appreciate at all one of the male waiters coming to shove all the plates at once on the table when there was not enough room on the table. Eating with your elbow in the raw meat is not cool. Noisy place too.

    Everything was mostly great! I do have a few complaints. The actual restaurant seemed dirty/dingy, had peeling paint, water all over the floor which is a slipping hazard as I was walking to the bathroom, and just didn't look or feel very nice or welcoming inside. Also, a huge issue I have is with food is when shrimp is served to you and is not deveined. I don't want to see, let alone eat a piece of seafood, that still has its digestive tract/intestines inside of it. That is super gross. The server did bring us something else instead of the shrimp, which was aa great alternative. I would have loved to go back for the food/service because it was good, but will not be back based on the look/feel of the restaurant. I hope others are more well kept. Also, on my Open Table notes for our reservation, I said it was our son's 21st birthday and nothing was said or done about this at the restaurant. I shouldn't have to remind anyone of the notes added. It was a much missed opportunity and another reason I won't be going back.

    Took a date here and we really had a goodtime. It was the first we could actually cook in a restaurant. Great experience I think everybody should try at least once in their lives

    The gas burner at out table did not work, and eventually have to switch table - and we ordered Bibimbab rice which took over an hour to get. The waiter"forgot about it" despite us reminding him several times.

    It was a busy night, but this is the norm. Expect to wait a little, even with a reservation. We waited about 15 min so not too bad. They didn’t bring out our appetizer until most of the rest of the entree was out. Then they didn’t have two shot glasses for the sake we ordered so we had to share one between the two of us. The food was excellent as usual, and luckily I’ve been there bunch of times so I knew what to do. Otherwise, we probably would’ve been a little lost with the lack of attention we got. I’ll definitely go back, but I would stick to less busy hours.

    The air conditioning was not working and the service was very slow. The food was good. This is a restaurant with grills at every table. With no AC, it was very hot. We were celebrating a birthday, so I did not want to disrupt that. If it had been a normal dinner, we would have walked out, as many diners did.

    Food was great but it was just toooooo hot to enjoy. Absolutely no ac circulating. Ruined the experience for us. And though it wasn’t an issue because we put the car seat in our booth, it wasn’t stroller accessible.

    Very good food only downside was they were out of garlic the most recent time I went so I couldn’t get a lot of the things I like such as the garlic fried rice and the garlic edamame. The service and food is very good tho bistro hanger steak is the best and love most the apps, would suggest getting the all you can eat.

    First they wouldn’t seat us until our whole party was there (or course one of us was late). I hate that! The staff was uninterested, would show up at our table with 10 plates, drop them off with no explanation, leaving us confused on what is what, who’s dish is it, how long to cook. Whenever we asked for clarification, they were clueless. Overall, just a bad experience, I’m not going back there.

    I love Gyu Kaku. As always, service was very fast and everything was fresh and delicious. Our grill was acting up, but the servers were there to help. Kalbi chuck rib & umakara beef is always our favorite with beef bibimbap (instead of plain rice.)

    It was my birthday and I had a great time! I didn’t feel hovered over at all. Savannah was super nice and I enjoyed the birthday surprise at the end! Definitely would recommend for causal dining and get together

    It was a fun adventure but the quality of the meat is below par. Most of it has too much fat and the filet mignon was not the best cut of beef. The service and waitress/ers were excellent!

    The food quality went down , the food not as tasty as before, beef quality ain’t there got covered with marinating yet the flavor still lack of quality on the meat , understaffed one staff have to serve too many tables at 1 time and the price kept gone up

    We enjoy eating here the food I'd always good. They seemed a little slower getting our food to us than normal however the service over all was good. Our server Eddie did a great job.

    We made a reservation as was waiting to be seated for about 7 mins. The host was not very welcoming, did not check to see if there was any more seating available upon request. It wasn’t very busy, however there was no bartender so our waiter was doing the best he could. We seldom were checked on. The fire was too high and so our meals were cooked practically well done every time. I’m assuming the restaurant was understaffed so I gave my waiter the benefit of the doubt as he was very sweet and apologetic. This is the second time I’ve been and I will say the service was not as good as the first time. I hope management gives my waiter some sort of appreciation because he did his best.

    Went with my teenage daughter before a Rocket game. Had reservations on a Friday at 4:30–early, right? Well, they were busy and we had to wait 25 min to be seated. Appeared to be a work shift change going on—lots of diners, young couples with kids, and empty or dirty tables. Lots of workers standing around appearing not doing much. Sign of the times with not enough help or not experienced? It appeared to be unorganized, to say the least. When we did get seated, we ordered and were alerted some items may also be out already. Sign of the times? We made some contingency orders just in case. Getting my beer and our food took a long time, but it eventually all came out in rapid succession. Didn’t get all what we ordered, but the contingencies may have confused them. The food was tasty, I must say. I’ve been to Korean style BBQs over many decades, and this Japanese style wasn’t much different. We ended up with various beef dishes, and they were all tender and tasty. Even the vegetables I cooked come out well. We ordered off the lunch menu, as that seemed to be always available, as it has less selections and quantity—just what we wanted—rather than the all you can eat menu for dinner. Can you imagine trying to get subsequent orders? For the quantity we did get and quality of food, it was very reasonable. Would I go back? No. I’ve had much better at other places around Houston (Korean) with much better coordinated service. The service was friendly though. If you’re not in a hurry and doing something in Midtown or Downtown, give it a try, but I think you can do better—so can they.

    The food and service is great, they have a homeless problem they come into the restaurant and go table to table asking for food. And only a few staff members will ask them to leave the place. And they wait in the parking lot to run to you at your car to ask again for money. Restaurant is good but going in and out is Saftey at your own risk.
