Habana- Irvine Spectrum
Great food amazing atmosphere food takes some time but it’s worth it service is awesome too
Food was incredible!!! Service was great, highly recommend.
Party of 7 of my family. All loved the food, service was prompt. Quite loud in the restaurant though.
First time here and it definitely lives up to all the good reviews! Came for the brunch and it was one of the best brunch buffets I have ever seen. The meat carving station was incredible, plus salmon and lots of vegetables and salads, an omelet and breakfast station, bread, pastries, and desserts. Even though it was quite busy, the service was excellent and friendly. It is pricey at $49 per person for the brunch, and the drinks are good but pricey as well, but all worth it for a unique, fun, and delicious brunch experience.
It’s was nice. We all appreciated the ambience of the restaurant. Celebrated my Moms Birthday.
Good food, friendly staff, beautiful restaurant! It was a bit crowded and loud but that’s to be expected at a good brunch. I would definitely return here for special occasions! My three favorite items where the steak (with chimichurri sauce), the arugula corn salad, and the flan! Oh and their fresh coconut is so delicious. We definitely took the coconuts home and ate the pulp inside haha. Would recommend!
Value for food selection did not seem to be there. Service was great.
Cousin date. We sat on the patio. Our server was very attentive. The oxtails and french toast were our favs.
My family went for dinner to Habana to celebrate my son's birthday. Our server Manuel was very attentive and friendly. We were happy to know that they had not run out of paella! Manuel brought a small flan with a candle, which was very nice. Overall, we loved the food -as always!- and had a great time. We'll be back!
I much prefer the original Habana in Costa Mesa. The Irvine Spectrum site is extremely noisy. It was incredibly noisy last time I was there but I thought it was because it was
overcrowded and holiday during the holidays. Food was not as good and service was
lacking. I would only recommend CM site.
Sunday Brunch was delicious.
Met with friends for Sunday brunch. Most of the seating is outside on the patio and the staff was really great about finding us a table away from the rain. The food and drinks were great, and the service was friendly.
Good food but small portions for the price. Drinks and ambiance are great!
Food was great but service was very bad. It took us 30 mins to just get water and to be greeted at our table. We asked about being moved to a booth because the patio was really noisy and the hostess were very rude and short with us. The service was very very slow. We’ve been here one time prior and we were very impressed with everything so this time around it was very disappointing. The music towards the end of the night got very loud which wasn’t ideal when you’re with a group of people and you are wanting to have conversation.
Great ambiance, great service, great food! I will be back soon.
Great service and ambience. Mediocre food.
Food was great, our waiter Josh was awesome!
I forsure will go back!!
Great meal but the music was too loud to enjoy a conversation inside so we were moved outside and the sun was so hot that it was uncomfortable. We were there for a business lunch. I think the music needs to be turned down.
Service was great and the meal selection has a great balance without being overwhelming. They took care of a large party of 10 with no hassle. I will be back again.
Absolutely nothing, everything from walking in to getting seated was seamless with no long waits like most restaurants.
I my family and I have visited this location for Sunday brunch a few times the past few years. The food is delicious and the service is great. However, I must admit it can be come a bit pricey at $50 per person. A party of four just cost me $300 with drinks and tip.
My husband and some friends went to Habana last Saturday. They had our table ready in 15 min after we checked in, which is not bad. Food was sooo good! All of us (yes, all of us) ordered the Ropa vieja, it was delicious! Portions were perfect and we all cleaned our plates. For desert I ordered the Cafe Cubano: a chocolate cake with coffee mouse in a eatable chocolate cup. It was also delicious! The band started almost 30 minutes late, almost at 10PM. That was the only sad note... everything else was excellent! We’ll be back!
The staff were very friendly and professional and knew the menu items. The food was delicious and nice portions. The noise level was a little much for me but most seemed to enjoy it.
To be honest, this visit to Habana wasn’t great
I ordered a rum and coke because I love the way they bring it in a tray so I can mix it how I want. This time it came premixed. My daughter ordered a vegan dish with mushrooms, but what came looked like slop, and she didn’t even eat it. I ordered a salmon baby spinach salad, not realizing it would come with pieces of ham. It wasn’t that great.
I usually love the food and service even though it is pricey. This visit felt like I did not get what I paid for.
While the food and service were good, it’s very loud in there.
It was great but a guy who looked
We love the lunch buffet.
Food was great service was a little slow for Sunday overall good experience
Service was lacking, our waiter ran by, did not introduce himself and just said "I'll be right back" he came back 15 minutes later. From there he would disappear and was hard to track down, we ordered a drink that that took close to 10 minutes to show up.
Food was OK, but definitely a huge departure from typical Cuban foods. The croquetas were a meat ball filled with shredded pork, nowhere close to what Cuban croquetas are.
I ordered the Tamal en Cazuela, again, nothing close to resembling the real thing. This dish was basically a Mexican tamal in a plate with some cheese sauce over it. The real dish is a polenta.
My wife ordered the roasted chicken, this came with a white creamy sauce over it which is a far departure from the real thing.
Overall the food did not taste that bad, but it certainly needs improvement if they want to bring it close to the real deal.
Went for a birthday brunch. So fun, great food and ambiance. Our server,Oscar, was so friendly and accommodating. Loved!
La comida buena pero lo mejor son los cafés
My girlfriend and I celebrated Valentine's day there. The drinks and food were great. Our waitress was responsive and gave good recommendations. It can get a bit pricey fast but it was a wonderful experience.
Amazing food and ambiance. Great service and incredible place overall.
Great food and service. One of the few good places to eat in OC.
My husband took me there for my birthday back in January and we love the atmosphere and the food was just great, but we went on a weekday and it was really quiet ..
We liked so much, so for Valentine’s Day for my husband’s birthdayWhich is on the same day I decided to take my husband there because we love it so much the first time
but we were disappointed we went on a Saturday it was so loud the food was not that great the meat was dry the plantains were dried, but we still managed to enjoy ..
Ouer waitress was very attentive and sweet
maybe next time will try to go on a day that is not so busy and they’re not out of my favorite things which is fried plantains
Love the chimichuri
The plantain fritter did not look appetizing or had any flavor.
Excellent food (nice variety, something for everyone) and service! Extensive mixed drink menu including rum flights. Very attentive service that is knowledgeable about food ingredients (we have a person with severe food allergy in our party), and made excellent recommendations. They kept drinks and chips filled and plates cleared. Desserts yummy especially the key lime pie. Cute tropical cuban decor both indoor and outdoor seating. Nice touch with the table side purse coat stand! Location on outer perimeter of Irvine Spectrum is ideal for locating (green glowing sign) and parking although lots were packed on holiday long weekend. This was the second time I have been there and I intend on going back and working my way through the menu.
Food was really tasty with a nice presentation. Service was good but felt a little rushed. Hostess forgot to check us in on the computer so I ended up getting a “no show” email from open table. When I needed to pack up my food to go, the waiter said they didn’t have any small containers to hold the sauce which was weird. Enjoyed the relaxed ambience and food though.
