Harbor Lights Tacoma
We always enjoy our time at Harbor Lights. A great combination of quality, price, service, and atmosphere.
Absolutely delightful, delicious food- squid appetizer was outstanding, cheesy macaroni with crab and shrimp was amazing for “simply” macaroni, very pleasant server!! Just need more handicap parking. Baby Boomers have retired in full force.
Nancy is an amazing server! Wonderful service and meal!
Harbor Lights dinner special is hard to beat!
The service was good, however the food was just ok. My steak was very tough. They did comp part of our meal (free lemonades) bc they were out of not one but two types of fish that my husband chose, so he had to get the halibut which was more expensive. The ambiance was a little outdated for such a expensive restaurant. Very pretty views though.
The food was gross and we both don’t drink. Bad choice for us. The fries were not cooked all the way. The squid was so thick. Too thick. Nothing was good except the fish. That was decent but it was accommodated by uncooked fries and a slaw was totally unseasoned. It was nasty. Needless to say I spent about $60 for food that was not cooked.
One of Tacoma's all time favorites, even during ridiculous covid 19 protocls, food and service still outstanding. View is not so bad either!
Great service! Food delicious…. Menu could have had more selections!
This place always HANDS down has the most amazing food and service
My husband and I have been to Harbor Lights a few times, and it’s always been really good, but this last time, it was outstanding. Keep I mind the place was super busy but they seemed to have enough staff to keep things rolling. The meal we had was terrific. I had the sirloin and pan fried oysters, with clam chowder and cole slaw, it was so good. The baked potatoes were excellent. I would 100% recommend Harbor Lights and can’t wait to take my sister when she comes to visit. Also we were able to watch some parasailors out in the bay, and saw a few boats which was really cool. Thanks for a great evening Harbor Lights!
It was a bit noisy because a child was talking very loudly and his parents just ignored him.
Our waitress was so wonderful. She made the experience so enjoyable. Sorry I don't recall her name!
We arrived at 4:45 and were seated by the window. It was too cold to be outside. The food was quite good, sirloin steak and fish and chips. Able to substitute a baked potato for the chips. Good time for us.
It was the perfect place to celebrate my moms 88th birthday, not to mention her favorite restaurant. Good dinner, good company, great service and a perfect view!
Great service, great portions, great price, and a great value. What’s not to like?
Overdone halibut. Terrible cocktail. Lovely ambiance. Two people can sit outside if you’re lucky. So view makes up for mediocre food.
I got the seafood mac and cheese and also the calamari. Both were good, but not incredible. I was disappointed that the mac and cheese was like $26 and did not come with anything else (like most of the other meals). It was quite a small portion for what I paid. It was also cold inside. It was probably 65 degrees outside (and raining) and it felt like the AC was blowing directly on us. Overall I would not come here again. I spent like $50 (tip included) and was really disappointed that I was not more wowed. Maybe it's just me, but I have enjoyed other restaurants a lot more and spent less than half of what I did here....which to me means it is not worth it.
We enjoyed our dinner. The waitress was excellent, the food was hot and tasted delicious. We had a table by the window, so the ambiance was great.
Everything was wonderful. The only thing is that I wish a manager had said something to a table near us about the noise level. There was one lady who was talking so loud the whole restaurant could hear it and that was without a mask so there was no reason for such loudness.
Had their early bird special and it was delicious. Great bargain
The cod was excellent. As a former commercial fisher in Alaska and sport fisher in WA my expectations for good fish are not always realistic. The coleslaw was superior as well. Fresh, crisp, and not swimming in too much mayo. I would gladly eat the fish and chips at this restaurant again.
It was our first time dining here. The food was nothing special but, the view of the sound was beautiful. The view was the best thing about our dining experience.
Great drinks—I love their Peachy~Drop! Excellent halibut and house salad too! Love the view and so comfortable being there!
The food quality was awful. The crab, shrimp, and artichoke dip tasted like mayonnaise. The halibut was extremely bland, except for when you got a bite of pure salt. The burnt cream was $8.50 for less than a 1/4 cup; there was barely anything in the bowl. The service was subpar and our waitress had a bit of an attitude. Maybe she was having an off day, but I don't know. I definitely would not go back, nor would I recommend it to anyone!
Excellent meal. Attentive and friendly server. Overall great anniversary dinner!!!!
We always go to Harbor Lights for special occasions and the place always exceeds our expectations. We were lucky enough to have Craig as our Server and he is so great! He’s attentive and fun - Craig helped make the dinner a very enjoyable experience.
A most gracious and knowledgeable waitress. Fish was delicious and chowder was the best we have ever had. Can't beat the view.
Beautiful waterfront views. Table ready when we arrived. Waitress great! Fried oysters perfect. Nice evening.
Anthony's are our favorite restaurants, and we are regulars at Harbor Lights. The only gripe is that they need to work on their Twilight Menu. The offerings are limited and not that appealing, and we end up ordering off the menu (but that is not a bad thing to have to do).
The Twilight menu was much better and a better value pre-pandemic. They need a small salmon offering and a small steak offering (and not a hamburger steak).
Great cod and chips! Enjoyed the view and service along with the food.
The food and drinks were over priced and not good. Nothing special about the service. We left hungry and unsatisfied and ended up have a much better 2nd dinner just up the Rustin Way at another restaurant.
We had a lovely un rushed dinner. Thank you
We order clams for an appitizer they were ok, I have had muich better although there were alot of clams. I ordered a peach drop, It was too thick and kind of warm. Our Prawns scampi were over cooked. Everyone was really sweet and they offered to make more but instead we took the complimentary desert.
I would have given them a 5 star. However they placed us at a table in the NW corner at the the window. It was right under the register for the AC. It dumped frigid cold air on us the whole time. I suggested they go to Home Depot and get a register deflector for that register.
Over all ok but I can better food at the Ram next door.
Good ok but not worth thr cost
Requested an outdoor table as we have every time we have been there in the past. It was told we were not allowed 3 people out there even though we have every time before time before period the greater was extremely and irritable. The dungeoness was out of stock . Both the drinks we ordered came out tasting extremely gross. Expecting the normal Harbor lights heavy poor but instead yeah instead couldn't even taste a drop of alcohol Expecting the normal Harbor lights heavy poor but instead couldn't even taste a drop of alcohol.
Used to be a favorite now I doubt I will return after the rude greater
Great food, especially clams, great server Nancy.
A little noisy at times, it was packed.
Excellent in every way. We had the steamers for an app, prawns and blackish for main dish and the amazing peach slum for desert.
Everything was ok. Thanks very much.
