Sophia was a great waitress the food was phenomenal and the lemonade was so good that I had two glasses there and took one home very homemade and reminded me of the fair.
We asked for patio dining but it was closed. Anyway it was ok coz there’s only one table occupied. Food was very good!
We arrived at 6:20 for a 6:30 reservation, we were greeted in a friendly manner and seated promptly .
Once we were seated we waited for what seemed like forever before our waiter came over greeted us and offered us menus. Once we got the menu he gave us 5 minutes before asking us for our entree order and simultaneously drinks . He returned with drinks and again asked for entree order . We looked over the menu finished our happy hr drink before 7 And wanted to re order drinks . Waiter was as no where to be found . When he returned and asked for
Our orders at approximately 7:02 he took our appetizer order , entree order and drink order .
Apps came out shortly but with no utensils or napkins , again waiter no where to be found , I had to flag down another waiter and ask for utensils and napkins . The apps were good . Entrees came

My grandsons birthday and we did want to get him a desert and possibly sing happy birthday, but yes you guessed it , no waiter . I finally had to ask another waiter for our check . At this point our waiter came hustling in and gave us our check, no asking if we wanted deserts or coffee. I looked over the check and noticed he charged us full price for our second round of drinks and there was a $2 mark up for rice on each dish that we were no notified of. I brought this to his attention and said let me

Over and was of little to no help, she had no explanation for the waiters lack of service and was reluctant to adjust the bill, she finally gave us two drinks at the happy hr price . It was a party of 5 and the bill was ultimately $209
Asked for take home containers we were given inadequate amount and
Had to leave some food there no waiter to ask for additional container. When we left we saw our waiter outside on his phone.
Food wasn’t up to par as it usually is. Service was very slow even though the restaurant was empty.
Celebrated Karine’s birthday - service was excellent, happy birthday flan & hat was great. Most of the food was really good, except for steak that had to be sent back because not good quality & hard to chew. Also, somewhat disappointed with chicken & rice dish. Overall, enjoyable experience & would come back.

sweet plantains are a must get as an additional side. the empanadas were yummy. however i did not like the chicken entree, try something else. the environment added to our experience. it truly felt like we were on vacay. ill definitely be back

I have eaten here twice last year. This was my first time since quarantine and I was very disappointed. We ordered a pork dish which I have eaten both times in the past. Our food was cold. Once we sent it back, they brought us out a completely different dish. It tasted terrible! Maybe a new chef? I’m not sure what happened. We didn’t get charged for the dishes that weren’t eaten. But what a huge disappointment. We were really looking forward to this dish.

We apologize if it was not served hot, as it should be. We are glad our team was able to redo the dish for your friends but we know how inconvenient that can be. The server took way too long to take even our drink orders, none the less our apps and food. Delivered us food with no utensils or napkins, had to wait again. had to constantly be reminded to bring us stuff and refill drinks. Food was dried out and barely warm. we were here for a birthday and I expressed that in the reservation and they could just care less. Very embarrassing evening for my family and we came quite a ways and tolls to get there. They also only had one dessert, nasty re-fried churros that-tasted like burnt dirty oil.
This place has really gone down hill over the past few times we have gone. do yourself a favor and skip over them when thinking about dinner.

Made reservation for 3 people outdoor dining. Got there and they said they couldn’t find a reservation. I showed them the confirmation and they miraculously found it. Proceeded to take three people to a table set for two when the reservation clearly said three. Then told us they had to move us inside because an outdoor sideseat is not guaranteed. There is nowhere indicated when booking that this is the case. Food was good overall. The vacca fritta was too salty and the maduros were not ripe enough and too hard. Black beans are fantastic. If you want really good Cuban food go to Elizabeth and pay half the price and get a better selection

Food, ambience, service was excellent. My server Sophia was excellent. She was very pleasant and kept apologizing for the delays of my meals. We just informed her that was okay and that we were just relaxing and there was no rush. She gave me a complementary dessert no charge which not necessary. But thank you for that. This was our first time dining here post-COVID, we’ve been many times before and really loved the food and the ambiance. The menu now is significantly more limited, with hardly any appetizers. The waitress was really nice and all the staff tries really hard to make it a nice experience, unfortunately the food is just not what it used to be.
Went on a tues nite.not crowded,good covid protocols.. Disposable menus, hand sanitizer available..

Happy hour is from 4 to 7 the margaritis and guava mojitos were very good. Prices have gone up somewhat, but still a good value. Service attentive.

Teri, our waitress, was excellent! I had the plantain chips with chimichurri, shrimp sofrito empanada, and the Salmon y camarones. I also had the margarita and pineapple mojito. All of the food and drinks were amazing!

Went with my friend on a Friday, I remember last time I visited I didn’t like their food. I ordered ropa vieja and in fact the carne y arroz were viejos, the meat was dry and the rice hard, sweet plantains were probably Goya frozen ones. My drink and coffee were good. I don’t think I’ll come back. Food was overpriced as well. Sad that this beautiful location does not have good food. Their location in Time Square is a different story!

Restaurant, is very run down, food is turned around as if it came from a microwave, very disappointing, drinks were barley with alcohol.

Great place and great food. I was upset that the menu was cut in half and their famous tres leches cake wasnt available which has always been the highlight of our visit. I ordered La vaca frita and it was a little too salty for my taste but eveything else was great

Great compare to the previous time. The place is good, the service by Alex was stupendous, still the value is a bit high, but overall 4 out of 5. Rachel the manager was very attentive too, so it's always good and refreshing to see managers interact here and then.

My husband and I reserved for outside dining ahead of time using Opentable and didn’t encounter any difficulties while placing our reservation....When we arrived, we were seated right away and saw that the venue placed outside dinning wall dividers between each row of tables in accordance with social distancing....My husband and I felt like it was date night because of the divider setup......We placed our drink order and at some point our order for our meals and we did not have to wait to long......I Love the churros which I had for dessert...My husband had the flan ....The only thing which we’ve noticed at some restaurants is that they have a limited menu to select from which is a bummer...Otherwise, we truly love our experience and food at this location (Menlo)

I enjoyed their “outdoor” dining. It’s full proof regardless of weather and food and service was great.
Yes exactly, we lucked out! The NJ Dept of Health approved our porch as "outdoors" so long as we keep the windows open and A/C off in that room. But it sure comes in handy when it rains :)

The food and drinks was awesome as always. It was rather hot and windows were not open wide enough to be considered outdoor dining. The ice was melting from our drinks so fast because of how hot it was. That was the only uncomfortable part of the evening. Other than that I’d still come back to eat.

We held a surprise party for my friend and it was the perfect location! Havana really helped to pull off the surprise by placing us in the back of the patio which made it harder from the guest of honor to see everyone awaiting her at the table. Our server Alex was patient and great with accomodating all our requests. They allowed us to bring our own cake which they brought out and sang Happy Birthday to her with. In addition to the excellent and friendly service, the food was AMAZING!!!!! As were the drinks!!! Everyone was a first time diner and we all agreed we would be returning again soon! Thanks again!
