Great night out with friends. Food was delicious and service spot on.

Nice little place to eat at the club. The food was good, about on par with the Bavarian cafe is quality and in price. If you want more for cheaper go to the Greenfield right next to it but if you want a good old pork knuckle then this is the right spot.

Waitstaff were so in-your-face and enthusiastic it would give an introvert a panic attack. No one wants to be asked 7 times during a meal how the food is. Loud rock playlist definitely kills the vibe, hard to have a conversation. Ordered entrees and mains and it all came together, barely fit on the table but got a “sorry” and a smile and that’s supposed to make it okay. Only 10 other diners in there at that time so there’s no excuse for such a basic mistake.

The food was great, especially the apple strudel. Ribs were a bit dry, otherwise can’t fault the menu Helmut has put together. Cocktails were beautiful, props to the bar staff.

Was it worth the $170 in all? No. Definitely better than the Bavarian bier cafe though.

We had our Christmas party on Friday night 8pm. 5 mothers killings themselves laughing, loud as loud ethnics can be and our server catered to every small and large request! She was AMAZING! and so was the food and our over all experience!! Oh and the butter... mmm the butter... oh and ur chips and that cabbage salad mmmmm... pork... ok... we’re gonna book for the 5 of us again in January... LOOK OUT Helmut’s Haus hehe...

We all enjoyed the food, it was hard to decide what to have. The portions were good and looking at the food being taken to the other patrons it all looked delicious. The apple strudel was delicious and the coffee wasn’t bad. We will go back again to try the other dishes.

We were tucked away in the carriage and forgotten by the floor staff. We got the mains quickly, but didn't see staff for maybe 45 minutes before the table was cleared, didn't even see any staff to wave at as they would only appear briefly at the other end of the carriage to settle new guests then disappear.
All told our meal took 2 hours, which is crazy for 6 people, especially when we were the first people in the restaurant at 5.30pm and had our mains served around 6pm. It took an hour and half to go from mains on the table to desserts (2 kids ice cream, strudel and pancakes) to paying.
The food was great, but I would avoid sitting in the carriage, or if you do, just be aware that you will need to be proactive to get noticed.

The old carriages are delightful, but the new menu is very interesting and great value. The waitress was was prompt. attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu We will certainly return.,

Found the food was not the best!
Ordered fried Camembert and was still cold in the middle not runny, the mash was powdered (or tasted like it), asked for Sauerkraut (not on the menu as a side) and tasted like it’d come from a tin. Decor was cheap imitation German. So for a club it felt like it was a seasonal menu with a half arsed attempt at pretending to be German. Sorry guys... just go back to the old platform 1.

Such a lovely themed restaurant. Waiting staff were polite and efficient. Meal was very tasty and I could not finish the large serving. I will bring my family for a meal soon.

We recently dined at the Bavarian express - Bankstown sports club with a group of 18. We were placed in our own private dining area and had complete table service. Staff were amazing and super attentive to our group. Food was exceptional and the pretzels didn’t disappoint. Pork knuckle was huge so wish we had of shared between 2. This was our first time here but definitely not our last. Thanks Bavarian Express :)

If you like German food, the Barbarian Express is for you. Great food and friendly service.

Excellent food, good variety with very generous portions, we had a party of 10 and they seated us at a round table which was great for dinner conversation.

Excellent pork knuckle and pretzels. Have been to the Hofbräuhaus in Munich and have to say better than that. More gravy would have been good. Just a suggestion for dessert, Kaiserschmarrn (torn pancakes)
is traditional and would be a welcome addition.

The service is very good and all staff are very pleasant. The food is very good. If you are going to eat the pork knuckle which is excellent, don't have an entree or you won't eat it all. It is a wonderful place for dinner.

I was so impressed. It was a good experience. We were back there the following week and I recommended it to my colleagues and we booked to celebrate our Christmas party there on 7/12/19. More power and thanks for the beautiful food, very good service and very nice place. I'll continue to spread the news about your food and service and I'll continue to recommend your resto. Two thumbs up for you guys.

Fantastic food, and amazing waiters. Finally a place where you can find a smiling waiter.

Shame the 3 meal set menu is not available unless you book 20 people!!!
We used to eat often there only 2 of us the 3 meal set menu before the place was changed to Bavarian Express.
I will not be returning again any soon as the place is pricy if you order from the free menu.

Food and atmosphere was great, our waiter, Michael, was very attentive, we couldn't have being served our large, great tasting meals by a nicer person.

The service was excellent, it was a very busy night for the staff, but they handled it very well. The food is excellent, plenty of choices for entrees, mains & desserts. I would recommend Bavarian Express to my friends without hesitation.

The pork knuckle is a must
