Good service and quality food. View was excellent. This was our first visit and we will be back.
We ate at Hemingway’s twice during our visit. Our favorite restaurant in Asheville!
Great place for breakfast! Wonderful views, fast service and tasty food.
Our meal was perfect! We shared the grilled octopus and carmelized pineapple salad along with the seafood paella and Cuban sandwich. Service was great, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We will definitely be back!!
Great food and service, just very loud.
We loved it! The food, drink and service were great and the view was excellent. It all made for a very fun evening!
I have been wanting to go there for about 6 months. I was in town for the Southern Conference Basketball Tournament and it was the perfect excuse to eat there. I was not disappointed. Great views, good food, good service. I cannot wait to go back.
One of my absolute favorite restaurants! I highly recommend Hemmingway's Cuba! The food is absolutely delicious, service is fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderful!
We go there very frecuently for dinner and the experience is always great. However, last Sunday for breakfast was the exception.
The service was bad, the food take to long, the tables next to us had problems with the food and with the bill.
Anyway, we are coming back for dinner tomorrow night. We love the food and we hope that everything goes back to normal.
Wonderful food and drinks, great service and an amazing view! We loved our dinner at Hemingway's Cuba, the tostones platter appetizer was the star of the meal! You also can't go wrong with the cubano or media noche sandwiches, very delicious!
Service was a bit slow, but overall ok. Drinks were quick. The masas(fried pork with onions, garlic, and lime, was outstanding with congri and maduros. Mojito was delicious. My wife had chicken wings as a low carb option and liked them. The empanadas de pollo were dry and lacked a sauce.
The restaurant was beautiful and the staff extremely friendly. My only complaint is our server could have checked on us a little more frequently. Overall experience was excellent.
Everything was great. We did have a table very nearby with an extremely “happy and loud “guest but nothing to be done about that! Otherwise, one of the best meal experiences we have had ina long time!
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend the rum cake for dessert.
My wife and I had great conversation at this restaurant with the noise level being like to none. We had a window seat and saw the sunset while eating dinner . The host and the waitress were very nice and very happy and answered all of our questions !
We arrived too late for the view as it was dark, so maybe another time. The bistec was so flavorful, Maduras were delicious, portions were generous. I wasn’t a huge fan of the drinks offered, but they were fine. I was way too full for dessert, but the rum cake looked amazing and definitely want to come back for it!
Place is nice and quiet. Food is pricey but cant ask for much when is the only Cuban Restaurant around. The white rice is not good, taste like instant rice and not much flavor. The skirt steak and black beans tasted delicious. I give the tostones and yuca frita 5 out of 10.
Such good food and very good service. The place is very new and the dishes are very cheap for the amount of food on your plate! Highly recommend.
Great atmosphere and views! Good was pretty good, ordered the fries and shrimp tacos for appetizer. Ordered the fish with asparagus for our main meal. Fish had really good flavor but a little too much salt. Enjoyed the sunset by the fire after and it was incredible!
The best Latin food I've ever had. We will definitely be back!
Another glorious dinner at Hemingways. From the jamon croquettes to our entrees and tres lecehs cake--everything was delicious. The view was lovely and service terrific. One of our favs in Asheville.
The food was mostly good. Not as authentic as we were hoping
The location and view are still worth it
Wowwwwwwww! Wonderful food, especially the vacas fritas! Server was knowledgeable and excellent. Good value also! Highly recommend!
Dining before concert at Harrah’s civic center. Within walking distance of venue allowing us to park for show walk to restaurant then to concert.
Cuban dishes are the best and Hemingway’s prepares dishes to perfection.
Two couples went to the restaurant. Two had ropa vieja and two had vegetable paella. The black beans were very bland. The paella was delicious. We also shared the chips and garlic sauce. The chips could have been better.
Went during restaurant week and the food was outstanding! The Cuban cuisine was wonderful, as were the cocktails. Their flan is not to be missed. It is a very enjoyable experience and the rooftop bar would be wonderful, with warmer weather.
Food, rooftop location, and dressy atmosphere made Hemingway's Cuba the perfect place to celebrate a big event.
Very few spices used . Just not return worthy. Even though a little more volume on the Cuban music would have helped, ambiance and service was good though.
I would definitely recommend Hemingway's Cuba to anyone who loves Cuban food. We have been looking for a great Cuban restaurant since leaving Florida. And we have found it. We have not had such great food and service since Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City (Tampa). Definitely a favaarotie of ours.
Food was good. This is not the first time dining at this restaurant. Service was ok. No refills of water or tea was offered and restaurant was not busy at that time.
Very disappointing from beginning to end. Raw eggs were served with overcooked croquettes. Check was dropped off as we had a full plate in front of us. Server was nice, but untrained on how to open wine. Steak was not as advertised, and caused a member in our party to get ill.
Over priced and underwhelming. Great views, but that is all. Does not meet Asheville's standards.
I always love going to Hemingway's. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and worth the money that you spend.
Not anything wow on the cuban food style but place was clean, service was great and location had beautiful sunsets.
The experience is amazing, great views of the mountains and sun set. Ian's service was excellent and the food couldn't be more good. This is a great place to go on a date or to go with your family and friends.
Tostones for two and amazing cocktails made our NYE dinner memorable. Fresh churros and espresso martinis for dessert. Food perfection!
Great experience and amazing food!!!! I would recommend Hemingway’s without hesitation!
The food was too salty- tostones were soggy and not served with the advertised sauce- portions are small- the rice was not true Cuban white rice- our server Erica was not very attentive and did not provide much customer service.
My wife and I came here to dine while on a trip to the Ashville area. We ordered a shrimp appetizer and the seafood paella for two. We followed that with a dessert to share. Each and every course arrived without an extra plate in order to share. We waited a reasonable amount of time for our waitress to check on us and finally had to flag down someone else to get an extra plate. The food was good but the service was very poor.
Mojito was very good. My wife ordered skirt steak and I ordered mahi with shrimp. Was told that they were out of mahi but was assured the fish would still be tasty and generous with shrimp. I ordered with intent for my wife and I to share dishes. Dishes arrived promptly. The streak was good the shrimp without the mahi however was bland without flavor. I spoke to the waiter Ian about it so he offered to get me something else. I then also ordered skirt steak which was brought quickly. Thank you Ian for the great service
