Henri Brasserie Française is a grand restaurant, the likes of which only appear once in a decade. Set in the landmark Birks Building located in the heart of downtown Montreal and connected to the new Hotel Birks Montreal 5-star Hotel, Henri presents a cuisine of today, inspired by the timeless traditions of the grand French brasseries. Our gourmet and comforting dishes created by our chef showcase the finest Canadian and Quebec seasonal products from coast to coast.     Frankly disappointed. Decor and esthetics are beautiful, but service was extremely slow and unfriendly. We waited 25 minutes after receiving our menus to order food and bottle of wine. Then we only received our bottle of wine after we finished appetizers, although we tested the bottle 20 minutes prior. The restaurant was not full. Food was good but not great, nothing memorable. I won’t be going back. There are much better restos in Montreal.

    The best part of the meal was the server, the beautiful decor, and the French fries. The meals were lacking and the kitchen got the order wrong three times. The staff is incredible so we just rolled with it.

    Henri Brasserie Française is a perfect destination for business lunch and Dinner. The professionalism and quality of the service are exceptional. Food is absolutely right up there, one of my best tables on the Island! Valet parking is fantastic, and the staff is again highly professional. Big thank you to Henri's team!

    Loved the room and the ambiance. Service was lovely but slow, possibly due to staffing issues. Took a long time to get one of our drinks, and to have our dinner order taken. Steak was excellent. Tartare was under-seasoned and the fries were soggy and not hot enough. Four gras appetizer was excellent but not enough bread was served with it.

    Nice table, nice service, professional, respectful but my garet d'agneau was cool when served, I was so Hungry (service of the main dish was a bit long) that I did not complain.

    Ambience was great. Would recommended as a place to go for a cocktail. Lobster dinner was cold. Our server did not come back to check on us to see how our meal was going. Very poor service.

    Great classic food. Don’t expect anything new but all the classics are great! Went for our anniversary, great service, food and ambiance. Wish they did something special for our celebration. We will go again though :)
