Our annual birthday party. Was great!

Great lunch with my nephew and great nephew. Don't recall the servers name, but she was excellent. Looking forward to another visit.

As always, the warm reception from Alex was welcoming and very appreciated. The service from Emma was top notch and the prime rib was delicious. How fortunate we are to have such a great restaurant in KC that supports our Chiefs' every win with half price prime rib. Thank you, Hereford House in Independence!

Overall Always enjoyed going here they were just having an off day not opening until 3 PM and quite busy

Ive been to Hereford House quite a few times and this was the best. The steaks were cooked perfectly and our waitress was the best.

Fantastic evening! Our service was excellent, half of our party of 8 ordered from the Restaurant Week menu, rest of us ordered from the Dinner for Two on the regular menu (highly recommend!). My prime rib was awesome, hubby’s 12 oz Strip same! Everyone loved the good & service!

Waited a long time for someone to take our drink orders, then bring us our drinks (probably 20 minutes). Food was ok, but not as good as it was when we came a few years ago. We just weren't as pleased as we thought we would be, especially for the price we paid.

The experience aspect was fine. We had a reservation, were seated within a few minutes of that time. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Food arrived quickly.

The problem was the quality of the food and the price we paid. Hereford House used to be known for great steaks. Not so much anymore based on our experience. We both ordered the ribeye, one medium, the other medium rare. What we received was one medium-well and the other well. I don't know if the pandemic cut off their salt supply but nothing had any seasoning at all. I expect better from Applebees. And to top it all off you get hit with a good steakhouse bill at the end.

Experiencing Restaurant Week and Hereford House did not disappoint. I had pork chops which were delicious and my boy had sirloin steak which was just as good! We enjoyed our experience.

Amazing dinner! Food was and always is on point.

We ordered the twin bacon wrapped medallions with loaded baked potatoes and salads. This is our favorite option here and it was delicious as usual. Our waiter was Travis and he was wonderful and attentive.

We have been to Hereford House in Independence many times and have previously had good experiences. If this had been our first/only experience, we would never go back. We had dinner during Restaurant Week and the food and service were both marginal - except for the double chocolate brownie which was quite good. At one point we realized it had been almost 30 minutes since we had even seen our server. Our total was $140. We went to lunch at another restaurant two days later, spent half the money the food was twice as good.

Always enjoy sitting by the fireplace love the variety of choices as well on the menu

Fantastic restaurant. We went on a day they had $8 burger and fries and it was a steal because the steakburger was huge with a big serving of fries. Service was great. Waiter was always there with anything you needed. Great food, normally have a good special, and a variety of choices.

The food here is consistantly well prepared. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable.

Hereford House provides consistently high quality food and ambiance.

Restaurant was busy, but we were seated promptly. Food was delicious, and portions were ample. We had to bring some food home. Service was a little slow, but the dining area was full. Masks were worn by all restaurant personnel.

We have never had a bad experience here

The restaurant was so dark, I had to use the light on my phone to see the menu, and this was at 4:30 in the afternoon.
The steaks that my wife and I got were both substandard. The sizes were great, the flavor was very lacking. I didn’t finish mine, not that I couldn’t... it just wasn’t good, and I’m usually the guy who takes leftovers home.
I consistently get much better steaks at Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse.

We went for New Year’s Eve, we have been many times and it was delicious as always my only issue was slow service however I’m pretty sure they were under staffed and didn’t expect to be that busy on NYE during a pandemic, great service though and our waiter was amazing!! Food was excellent!! only downsides were we never got any of their great bread and we were there for 2.5 hours, otherwise outstanding and we will be back

My husband and I absolutely love Hereford House. Their salads, steaks, desserts & drinks. Our Go To place always when we want a nice enjoyable date night!!!

Perfect place to celebrate Christmas Eve. Recommend to all.

Went for Christmas Eve, and we were sat in a room that was more of an add-on than inside the restaurant. The tables they had put together were huge, so we felt we were 10 ft from those across the table from us... which was great for social distance! But not great for conversations.
The service was amazing and fast, and the meal was top-notch. One of the best prime ribs I've had in years!

Good food but too high a cost to be a weekly occurrence. we were celebrating the holiday with a friend.

Birthday lunch was great!
