Heritage Hill Brewhouse & Kitchen
It’s was disappointing. The service was great, however the food was extremely disappointing.
Our party all ordered smoked brisket. The slices were not cut across the grain so it was very chewy instead of tender. It was not easily cut with the butter knife provided. The wide tables and noise level did not enable us to have easy conversation. The beer selection was good, and triple chocolate cake was delish. I would go again sometime, but skip the brisket.
The food was fantastic and the service was absolutely wonderful! We had a great time.
Wonderful location, looking forward to next stop there in the future
Outstanding food from Sunday brunch or lunch/dinner.
Heritage hill was terrific. It was an oasis out in the country. Food was very good and fresh, the place was really lively and fun and the servers were friendly and attentive.
Excellent service. Good wings and tasty summer sausage for appetizers. Excellent brews we all were happy with our main courses. Will be going back for sure!
Valentine's dinner was the BEST meal my boyfriend and I have ever had. Great service and even better food and beer!!! I highly recommend this place to everyone.
Kitchen was out of burgers, wings, and Brussells sprouts app, as well as one of the beers we ordered. All things we had traveled there to try after making a reservation for 7PM our first time there. So disappointing - and no effort to try to make up for it. Argh.
The food was absolutely delicious!! The service was great. We will definitely be back!
Only disappointment was we specifically chose this restaurant for the gluten free options and there were not ANY gluten free rolls that day. Since it is highly noted on menu that this is an option this was very disappointing. Having said that service and good were excellent and we will surely return.
7 of us had the Sunday Brunch at Heritage Hill Brewhouse and Kitchen. The food was very good and the wait staff was very attentive. Bloody Mary was very tasty but no celery! The view is absolutely beautiful from all angles. Will go back again and again. This is not my first visit there but the first for brunch. The BBQ in summer is very good.
First time there, it was awesome! Will go back again & can't wait till summer to get the outside views!
Great food, beverages, service and rustic atmosphere. Enjoyed the breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus but liked the setting better last year. The gingerbread pancakes were a creative touch but I think the children prefer traditional ones. All in all a wonderful day was had by all of us. Thank you to the staff!
I’ve gone here before for drinks, but this was a first try for dinner. We were a party of 6. I wasn’t particularly impressed, nor was my husband. It was very loud at 6pm, could hardly hear talk at the table, we were in the corner nearest the stage and speakers. The food wasn’t memorable, I had the ribs, and they were fine. My husband had the Carolina nachos(?) the ones with coleslaw on them and they were terrible. Nothing was wrong with them, just not an appetizing dish. We did enjoy the beers we had, but question why soda is being served in plastic cups. Other than the fact that it was super loud, the place does have a nice ambiance. However, I would recommend coming during daylight hours so that you can enjoy the view.
We were a party of 12.. Many from out of state and the 1st timers.. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the choices of Beer and cocktails!! The service both at bar and table were wonderful!!
The overall experience was very good. The only complaints were the Brisket was a little dry and the meat/cheese board weren’t our favorite selections. The location and things going on were great. Beers were all good.
This is a cool place with nice indoor and outdoor spaces, especially a beautiful place to view a sunset. But the day we came they had evidently held a family festival during the day and had not recovered by the time we arrived for our 5:45 reservation. It took us 1 and 3/4 hours from our 5:45 reservation to actually get our food. And they were out of the first three things I tried to order, then once I finally found a burger in stock, it came to the table with none of the items on top it was supposed to have because they had run out of those things too (without telling me). Our server was super nice and tried to be helpful, but operationally there was nothing she could do. Things might have been different on another night, but this one was long and disappointing. Consequently, we'll keep trying new places instead of coming back.
We arrived for a 5:00pm for a reservation and no one was there to greet us. We had to wait about 15 min to be seated. We were finally seated and were very frustrated because no one came to take our drink order, we waited about 30 min and finally got so fed up we went to the bar. We complained to the hostess and she said it was her mistake, she forgot to tell our server to wait on us?? A reserved party of seven? Very disappointed.
Good BBQ and burgers. Beer is good but small selection. I heard they were bringing out 3 more.
Beautiful location! Great service. Brussel sprouts were AMAZING.
We enjoyed the food very much. Our server was very good. It was a busy night so there was alot to keep up with. He made sure we had drinks and lots of napkins. Everyone enjoyed the ribs, chicken and great appetizers. Fun night.
Great food and very friendly staff. Loved the atmosphere!
Arrived with reservations, no hostess to be seen while people lined up behind us for at least 10 minutes. When she arrived, no and apology for the wait, just an attitude. Food was decent, server was nice and apologetic for waited an hour for our food to arrive. Won’t be back.
The waiter Patrick was phenomenal. The food came out cold. He took it back. But he was so patient and professional
The food was delicious, the waitress was very helpful and the food arrived just as ordered. The view is outstanding and I look forward to a trip in winter when I can sit and be warm while watching storms blow through.
Loved the food and the service was excellent. Great view. Noise level was too loud-very hard to talk to table mates. Would like to have had barbecue items on the indoor menu.
Great menu and friendly fast service. The view is spectacular and the kids loved it! It’s like a mini vacation with the shop the BBQ and a great outdoor to spend time in. Definitely worth the drive!!
We went for Mother’s Day brunch. We waited over an hour to get our food. Our tea and coffee came in paper cups while other diners had mugs and glasses. The French toast which looked good was barely dipped in the egg mixture and was very dry in the center. I’m not sure we’ll go back there.
Love having the Brewhouse so close to home. Food & services is consistently excellent. Atmosphere casual, comfortable and very inviting. Cannot say enough good things about this establishment!
Great food and service. It was delightful and the view was fantastic. Highly recommend this place.
Second visit for brunch. Interesting menu, with vegetarian choices.
Sadly, my meal was stone cold, and under seasoned (which was the same the last time I was here).
There are no gluten free bread or muffin options, which was disappointing. Nice cocktail menu, great views.
This place is fun and different. Glad to see them doing well. Lively atmosphere and family friendly with a fantastic play area outside and goats around the acreage. Nice views over the southwest skies in its unique location. Not a place for a quiet meal, with its big space and high lovely ceiling but good food and great service. I’ve also been here for Sunday brunch which was great. Only wish they served cappuccino!
The beer was very good & the food was delicious. The service was wonderful. I would definitely come back & try some of the different food choices.
Great meal nice size portions reasonably priced and friendly service on a packed Friday night. Beer sampler was excellent.
Only complaint was that it is noisey if your trying to have a conversation and your table is next to the bar. With that said we will go back very soon!
Food was delicious. Their beers are very good. It is all local and farm fresh so it's a few dollars more, but it's worth it.
This was our first visit to Heritage and we were pleasantly surprised by this diamond in the rough. Set in the hills of Pompey we were happy to find this brewery with its large airy dining room and wrap around bar. The beers were delicious but the food is pricey and mediocre. The nachos were delicious but bean and kale soup was watery and tasteless. Beef dip was on more focaccia bread than meat and no dipping juice. We will return as the weather gets warmer and will probably choose to drink beer and skip the food unless it’s a starter or something new. Hopefully the kitchen will improve
Great place! The food was delicious, good drink selection and love the farm to table idea. We love to support locally and they are doing it right! Music on Fri was a perfect addition, not too loud and great songs. We will be back for sure!
We had w wonderful meal, with excellent service. Two of us had the spice-rubbed roast chicken with roasted potato wedges and an orange citrus salsa. It was one of the best chicken dishes I have had at a restaurant. My husband had the baked fish and chips. It was also quite delicious. For dessert we shared a piece of the chocolate stout cake. It had a dark chocolate flavor and nutty texture, served with a citrus whipped cream - excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the service was attentive without being overwhelming. The only slight drawback was that the music - although great - was a little loud. But the staff was sensitive to that issue and tried to help. I can’t wait to go back and try something else. My husband also loves the beer!
A great option for country denizens --e.g. Pompey, Fabius, Apulia, Tully-- who o/w have limited choices for good eats, and who don't want to drive farther to venues more "urban." Reasonable, non-overwhelming non-encyclopedic selections of brews, especially locals/regionals. Food excellent, appropriately portioned, and, like brews, affordably priced. We --party of two-- did a same day OpenTable res for Friday dinner hour. Joint was jumpin and loud. Service was very good despite the jumpin. Excellent guitar duo entertainment with non-excessive amplification: Just enough to overcome ambient crowd noise. Satellite speakers are well-placed in premises. We'll definitely return. 'Next time likely mid-week for (perhaps?) a contrasting more sedate experience.
