Phenomenal patio dining with live music.
Great place...music, food, service are outstanding. Love this place.
We really enjoyed ourselves. It was so nice to sit outside and enjoy some live music. My husband ordered the Nonny burger. He did not like it, but I enjoyed it for leftovers. I had the chicken sandwich which was great. Unfortunately the service was very slow. I know they were busy, however we had to ask the manager for more water and our 2nd round of drinks took so long we had to cancel them before we ever got them.
first time dining at Hey Nonny and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We sat just inside, so had the coolness of the interior room, but sitting at the window, were able to hear and be part of the outside as well. The Avocado jar was delicious, everyone enjoyed their entrees, and we'll be back again soon to see what the chef has found locally to make.
Great food and ambience! Will definitely return when there is a concert.
We really love Hey Nonny! Great food, music and service!
Kari, Thank you so much for your kind words about Hey Nonny!
Great food but high prices
Thank you for the feedback. You should check out our happy hour, we have some great specials Tues-Fri from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Loved the vibe and live music
LOVE the live music!! Great drink selection and food was awesome. Highly recommend (:
TaylorMarie, We are glad we could hit the mark on your visit. We appreciate that you like the food and drinks.
We love Hey Nonny
We love your review!
If you're looking for unique intimate live music with a bonus of great food and even better drinks, then you MUST go to Hey Nonny. It's one of our favorite experiences and we say experience, because it's truly more than dinner and music. We're always impressed with the level of quality performers and the menu, which seasonally changes has fresh interesting food And fun cocktails to compliment They have nice wines too and the best part now, is the Alfresco dining creating an excellent place to relax and enjoy a perfect summer evening.
Victoria, We truly appreciate the nice comments about Hey Nonny! We work so hard to make Hey Nonny a great time, and to see the feedback like this makes it so worth it.
Great experience - so nice eating outside (which I prefer to do anyway) and the service was outstanding!!
Enjoyed a wonderful brunch with smooth jazz to set the mood. Sevice was outstanding and the food divine!
Food was excellent and unique (sweet potato bisque with apple and bacon bits, awesome salmon). Price was a good deal with it being restaurant week. Loved the music video wall and the music venue itself is one of the best rooms in the Chicago area.
Robbie our server was very helpful , food delicious. The special menu was wonderful . Chip was terrific about making adjustments for the event due to the crazy circumstances. Michael McDermott was the best I have ever seen him .
Great service and nice place to eat , drink and see music. Will come back again
We were able to take advantage of the Restaurant Week menu. Options were very good would like to see this type of offer more often instead of just once a year.
Nice cozy atmosphere and good food.
My friends and I came here for Sunday brunch. None of us had ever been, but we decided to try it out because the menu looked great, and they offer bottomless bloodies/mimosas and have live music. The restaurant was not busy at all throughout the course of our meal, but somehow it was difficult to get our sever's attention, and she was not very attentive to our table, although she was very nice. The biggest reason for my low rating of this restaurant is the quality of the food. There were 7 of us, and we all agreed that the food was awful, and definitely overpriced. It's a shame because it's in a cute area, has a cute interior decor, and the live music is a selling point. Unfortunately, the food is just too bad to ever go back.
The food was great, the service was excellent! The problem was the entertainment (on a Sunday afternoon, not a scheduled performance) was way too loud for any table talk. And the woman was reading the words off a paper then later her phone! I would definitely return there but I would request the other room unless I was there to see the entertainment.
Enjoyed restaurant week menu!
Gloria, Thank you for the awesome review!
We consistently have good food at Hey Nonny. I love the feel of the place. Have seen some live music and have come for a trivia night. Always a good time. Can't wait till summer when all the windows are open!
Had dinner prior to attending a show in the adjoining space. Experience with food quality was mixed as the chicken sandwich was disappointing. Restaurant space is tight with tables quite close together and there is moderate noise level. Service was good but not outstanding.
Loved the band and the Irish Dancers!
Thank you for the nice review! We had a great time for that event and agree.
Checked out brunch as a family, arrived at 10am open. Had a toddler and infant (who missed out and slept through the whole thing). Simple but appropriate kids menu, and great farm to table main menu options. I had the Benedict of the day special (corned beef on rye) and my wife got the apple pancakes. Both were great. I did not realize live music would start so early, but we were fortunate enough to have a bluegrass band playing through our brunch. It was great, and our toddler loved it too! We just heard about this place because of restaurant week, and glad we did - can’t wait to come back!
Thank you so much for the awesome review! I am glad your family had a great time and especially your toddler. We try to be as family friendly as possible, and are glad you thought so. We look forward to seeing you again.
What an incredible way to enjoy a Sunday morning.
This is our 5th visit to Hey Nonny and they never disappoint!
That's lovely, JoniD! We're thrilled that you enjoyed the Sunday Jazz Brunch.
The food is delicious. The servers are friendly and attentive, but not overbearing.
Hey Nonny is a terrific option if you are having dinner before a show, or just there for the food.
Hey DavidH! Thank you for the kind words -- especially about our servers. They are truly a special bunch and we treasure them.
Great location, ambiance and service but the food was mostly bland. Except for the pork chop which was pretty good, the calamari, French onion soup and airline chicken could have used more flavor. We did not see the music act for the night so we cannot comment on that part of the restaurant.
Hey there DrRay! Thanks very much for checking out Hey Nonny. We appreciate your comments -- as you can imagine, the amount of spice in food is a highly personal and we try to hit a spot that appeals to the most people. Come back and check out the music one night!
The food was different and very tasty. The service, the cocktails, and the music are what make the place truly special. Keep in mind that when there is live music playing during happy hour, you can’t hear anyone talking at the table. So if your main purpose is to catch up with friends, you won’t be able to talk until after the live music act.
Hey MomDiner! Thank you very much for visiting and for the sweet comments! During our Friday afternoon HeyDay happy hour, sometimes our wonderfully talented performers get a little over-enthusiastic, but we will try to keep that tamped down a tad!
The Fat Tuesday Special menu was outstanding. The shrimp and grits, crab cakes, and ribs were fantastic. Also enjoyed the live entertainment of J-Live and the Party. A fun evening.
Yo Ralph! Thanks for coming to our Fat Tuesday bash. We too were thrilled by the sass and thrash of the J-Livi and the Party brass band. We always have shrimp and grits for brunch and are thinking about adding the ribs on a regular basis.
We came to enjoy the Martis Gras menu and were not disappointed. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent.
Thank you A! We had a blast for Mardi Gras! Not sure if you caught the band that night but we can only say that "Jay Livi and the Party" is aptly named. Some particularly funky-butt Sousaphone playing!
This place is a GEM in downtown Arlington Heights. I've been here for brunch, dinner and concerts and every time has been an awesome experience.
I've been to Hey Nonny for dinner and it was very enjoyable. I would recommend for dinner.
However, I would not recommend for brunch. The restaurant was loud (yes, I understand it was a jazz brunch), the food was average and the cocktails lacked flavor - I like a good Bloody Mary and the Nonny Bloody Mary tasted like watered down tomato juice. The service felt rushed but we were not checked on by our server, brunch was overpriced and the space felt cramped. There are better brunch options in the area.
This was the second time we went to Hey Nonny for brunch and it was FABULOUS yet again! The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was delicious...
I really like the setup here - restaurant on one side, live music venue on the other. Food was good and reasonably priced. Music venue seating was good with drink/snack options served at your table. Volume was just right and allowed you to converse if needed.
Thanks, Maureen! You're right, our staff is a delightfully goofy bunch of dedicated servers. We love 'em!
Our server forgot about us, then forgot one person's drink. Food is pretty good and they have live music of Friday night.
Great food and drinks. Service is excellent. There are some cool classic cocktails. Good variety of quality food choices at reasonable price point.
Seating in the bar dinning area with the tall tables can be a challenge, especially if the table is wobbly. Brunch Food was tasty and made quick, but the steak wasn't done well enough and my poached egg seem on the cool side. Mimosa are a nice touch but expensive
I got free coffee because they forgot to get me my cream and sugar.
Live music is a selling point. but you pay for that ambiance
George, We will fix the wobbly tables and I will address the food missteps with the kitchen. My apologies on us forgetting the cream and sugar also. Thanks for taking the time to write the review.
Annette, Thank you so much for the great review! We work really hard to get the best music possible, and are really appreciative when our guests enjoy our talent. Best to you!
