Hill Top Winery
I’m disappointed that Hilltop stopped the Sunday brunch. We have really enjoyed the egg on the hamburger (discontinued) and mimosas (discontinued). The establishment and service is wonderful, but really wish the brunch option was still available.
Amazing service and great views!
Had the best time and our server Becky was amazing. Best Rose!!!
We did inside, as it was a bit windy, so the noise factor was not as nice as outside, fortunately there were not too many people there at the time we were. After eating, which was delicioso, we went outside and sat in the sun enjoying the peace and quiet with Mimosas. Yum.... Highly recommend. :)
Happy to discover you!
Nice place & it has expanded over the years
Great meal. Great service. Great views.
Found this winery on Open Table and thought we'd check it out. We weren't disappointed. The food was excellent and the sunset view was wonderful. While the service was a bit slow ( we had a new server) the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The wine was OK, about par for a small local winery. But the quality of the food and the location easily overcame those minor faults. Would highly recommend the Hill Top Winery.
As for southern CA, the wines are just ok due to the soil. Their 2014 cab is the best overall. The food however is off the hook! We go their to have their burgers, which are the absolute best and their fries are outstanding!!
We have had a few other menu items like the tacos and charcuterie plate both are very good. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. The grounds are very appealing as is their tasting room. We love going their!!
5-star view; 5-star food. We have been on two occasions and loved the charcuterie plate (great meat and cheese selection..and the caper berries and fog jam, fresh baked bread) just awesome. The house fries with garlic aioli (creamy inside, crispy outsides) and the burger...one of my favorites in the county wide best burger search.
The chef knows what he or she is doing.
The wine: tried a white flight, their Syrah and Zinfandel. One of the whites was corked, unmistakable wet paper bag smell. All the whites but the Pinot Gris were bubbly like fermentation didn’t finish or sugar was added, (chaptalazation) - I don’t know that, I’m just saying the residual sugars seemed like 70+ carbs... many of the wines were too sweet for me. The Zinfandel tasted like a tawny port. I’d stick with the Pinot Gris and the Syrah.
Bottom line: food great, view great, find a wine you like.
What a gorgeous view to enjoy an amazing wine tasting! The food was delicious, the wine was amazing, and the service was incredibly friendly!
Met up with cousins and their family to celebrate a birthday. View was good, service was excellent, food was good, not great
Will be making it a go to whenever in the area. Such a lovely place.
Great service, good food and perfect wine pairing. Ambiance is very nice and perfect with the amazing views.
Hilltop winery was a beautiful location, with great wine, great service, and a great atmosphere. I did a white wine tasting and loved every wine. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
Beautiful venue in Valley Center. Love to sit on their covered patio and enjoy a glass of Ranch House Red (blend) while watching the sun set. Limited, but delicious menu - same for lunch and dinner. Looking forward to trying their Sunday brunch.
