Hull & Mason Bar and Kitchen

Nice place for a casual lunch near Quincy. For a hotel restaurant in that area, it was a good place to meet up and the food was good. Menu is just what you'd expect for a hotel restaurant, salads, sandwiches prepared well.
It's a hotel restaurant, not much to write home about and if you are not staying at the Marriott it wouldn't make sense to drive specifically to as they charge for parking, it's on it's own compound. Was one of the only spots in the area though that took a reservation for breakfast though so was how we ended up there.
Just ok, really just a hotel bar with some tables. Kt very memorable.
Get the scallop and bacon appetizer, it's delicious!
Nothing I can say except get there ASAP definitely definitely definitely worth the trip!!!
The menu is very limited. They never add anything new. It used to be a great menu before they made renovations to the restaurant.
I went for Easter brunch with my extended family. Some of us ordered off the menu and some of us did the buffet. Everything was delicious, and our servers were very friendly and attentive. The place looks great too. I’d definitely go back for dinner and drinks.
My wife and I went into the restaurant at 7:05 pm on 10/7/18.
We ordered a scallop appetizer, chicken scallopini entree and a salmon entree.
There was literally 4 tables occupied (3 plus mine) very slow night!
We waited 20 minutes for 3 scallops on a plate!!! And 40 minutes for 2 entrees! (Not to mention that the server told us they were "JUMBO" scallops) THERE WAS NOTHING JUMBO ABOUT THE SCALLOPS!!!!!
We were looking for a pre fixe menu so we called before going.
Abby informed us that the manager had stepped away from the property and that I needed to send an email to a culinary director. 🤔🤔🤔
The unfortunate part is the servers have no clue of who they're waiting on.
I'm a chef and not once did she come to my table to inform us about why our food was taking so long!
I could have seared scallops in 5 minutes flat, plated and in front of the guest in 6 minutes!!!
Marriott, I'm very disappointed!!!!
I called this restaurant two times and left a message both times about wanting to make a reservation for a party of 10. Nobody called me back. I needed this location because I was meeting 9 other people coming from various places. It was central for everyone. I checked OpenTable on a whim and luckily was able to make a reservation here. Everything about the experience was average from the atmosphere to the food choices and food quality. Needless to say, I won't be heading back.
It would be nice if they expanded their menu. It is very limited.
the red quinoa bowl was excellent and the service was superb.
First the waitress was wonderful as was the manager. The food left much to be desired. I ordered the shrimp escargot and crab cakes. Neither did I eat. The shrimp was dried out and the crab cakes were greasy. Our bill was adjusted ~ thankfully, but that was not our intent. As platinum Marriott rewards members we frequently eat in the hotel, this was an exception to our previous experiences.
Excellent food and great service. Will be going back.
Found it to be clean and inviting. Had beer at bat and watched some sports. Went to our table, the servers were prompt and friendly. Will definitely go back in the future.
I went for mother's day at 12:30pm and we asked for the breakfast menu. We were given the breakfast menu and ordered our coffee. We were expecting brunch and ordered an appetizer until the rest of our party arrived. When it came time to order the waitress informed us that breakfast had ended. Most of the party was expecting breakfast and wanted to leave. I scrambled to find another place to accommodate us with such short notice.
While some decided to stay for the lunch, the rest of us wanted to leave and paid the ridiculous bill.
The ones that stayed were not that happy with the quality of their meal.
While I know I should have looked at the times more closely I also think the hostess who handed us the breakfast menus and our waitress who had to have seen the different menus we were holding should have informed us before we spent $90 on coffee and leaving. Needless to say, none of us will be returning with such a sour experience.
Mother’s Day brunch
From the hostess Abby to our waitress, the service was great. The food was delicious. I really don’t have any complaints!
I accidentally put in for 2 people but we had 8! We showed up 20 minutes after making the online open table reservation and were warmly greeted despite the mix up. Excellent experience with multiple custom orders and not one mistake and it was Sat. Night before Mother’s Day. We will definitely go back.
Marriott did a wonderful job renovating this space and lobby.
We enjoyed our first meal at Hull and Mason, and will probably be back with a few caveats. It is open to the lobby of the Marriott and there was a dance competition being held in one of the ballrooms. So my first criticism is the competitors used the lobby area and the ladies' room to prepare. It was extremely noisy. Not the restaurant's fault. My second criticism is that when I made the reservation I was on their website where it clearly stated that they have a prime rib special - all you can eat for $19.99 - every Friday and Saturday. Um, not true. I do not like bait and switch. We called it to the manager's attention who agreed to honor the $19.99 price, but not the all-you-can eat part - but only after telling us we were wrong because it was no longer on the website. But it was, so beware.
The food itself was just average. I got the lobster linguine and the lobster was very chewy. The prime rib was a generous portion, but overcooked. Wine list was short and expensive. They don't serve any bread with the meal. The prime rib came with a potato and vegetable and you got a salad, but my soup to start was an additional $9. Since we were celebrating a special occasion, we all got dessert. The dessert was really good - but not worth $10 a pop. So I would save this restaurant for special occasions and go later in the evening when the lobby noise may be reduced.
We have been here many times previously. The fact that we return should say it all!
the service and food were excellent. The menu was a little small but otherwise very good
Most of the order was accurate and served quickly. It is amazing how one bad dish can change an evening. It didn't have to, but the managers handling of the situation was completely inappropriate. After waiting 40 minutes for a new dish to arrive to due allergy, we were told it would be removed from check but then upon leaving the manager chased us down. This was after he specifically said only 5 of 6 meals were charged. He then proceeded to make a scene in the restaurant. The managers behavior was appalling and disgraceful.
I would not recommend this restaurant until they get new management.
Certainly not a good representation of the Marriott Brand. Even if it is not owned by Marriott it is in their facility.
Overall experience was great. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were attentive and professional. The drinks were perfect and made well. The food was excellent. No complaints about service or meal.
Prime Rib special and drinks very good. The restaurant did not have a very warm decorative vibe -
More like antiseptic white and bright lights. Get past that and all good!!
We were staying for wedding and met friends there the night before. Food was great, and the wait staff was wonderful! Worth the drive UP THE HILL. If you get a chance, stay over for a weekend and enjoy!
3 of us ordered a Ceasar salad with chicken, which was $16. the lettuce was cold and the dressing tasted like it came from a supermarket. I would not go back.
Took way too long to deliver lunch. People had to leave before the food was delivered, and the food was worse than the previous establishment (Kilroys). Do not recommend for business lunch on a schedule.
Worst dining experience ever! Had x-mas party for 10 2 hour wait with reservation. Service was terrible. Food was just as bad
No atmosphere. Just a hotel bar. Menu has some good menu items. Not a place for destination dining. The bartenders are hospitable and easy to talk to.
Went for the all you can eat prime rib offered Friday and Saturday’s for $19.99. There was 13 of us. The atmosphere was spacious and modern, located inside the Marriott hotel. The service was excellent! The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The prime rib was cooked perfectly for each of us. The first slice was big, came with baked potato and asparagus. Each slice after that was slightly smaller. Yes, you could keep ordering more if you finished. Most could only eat one slice, a few of us ordered a second slice. Ordered a molten chocolate cake, came with ice cream and a few berries. Was also very good. Would come back again. We made reservations because of the large party but it wasn’t too busy.
Always love the prime rib special! And the service was fantastic... WE LOVE SUSAN!!!!
Have been here before. Great service good food . And we will continue to come back
