Hyde Away Inn & Restaurant

Family of 4 (2 teens) enjoyed a fabulous meal - start to finish. From Prime rib to Chicken tenders, everything was perfect. French Onion Soup is some of the best we’ve had! The chocolate Hazelnut cake superb along with the Apple Crisp. Love the Hyde Away and make a point of dining there anytime we visit the area. Even with Covid - very enjoyable and felt very comfortable with all of the extra precautions they have taken. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Terrible service and overpriced meals. We waited over two hours from the time we ordered until our food arrived. The food was good but not for the high price point. There are better places to go out in this area.

Excellent food, cocktails, and service. Tables were a little wobbly as we were near the stairs to takeout but that was very minor in comparison to the quality of the food.

The salmon with a balsamic drizzle was VERY good. I highly recommend it. The low lighting is nice! Overall, this was a good pick for Christmas. I appreciate the place being open on a holiday!

We've been dining at the Hyde Away for years and they have done an exceptional job of continuing to provide the same feel as when fully open but with wide distance seating from others and food was fairly quick and yummy! Waitress service always friendly and accommodating!! Between the spring outdoor and indoor seating, you feel very safe to eat and enjoy a night out, which we all need right now!

The Hyde Away is always awesome. Most consistent good food in the valley. They have the Covid thing dialed in- are indoors felt super comfortable and plenty of space. Staff always masked.

I love hyde away as it is my local go to place. I miss sitting at the bar, pre-Covid times as it used to bring ton of people to hang out. Right now only the tables in the restaurant are available. During summer they have many tables outside which provided a very safe COVID free environment

Chicken was excellent. Atmosphere cozy. My friend didn't love the nachos, but my chicken dinner was soo tasty.

Both my husband and I had a delicious meal and the service was very good. I would definitely return!

We had a wonderful experience at Hyde Away. We were just visiting the area and looking for a nice place for dinner. Hyde Away did not disappoint us. Everything from the salad to dessert was delicious. The server was attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back if we are lucky enough to be in the area again!

Been going to the Hyde Away a couple times a year for 20 years and it is consistently fantastic. Always a highlight of family trips from NY to Waitsfield!

We were visiting Vermont this past week and needed to find a place for dinner. We looked online and found Hyde Away so figured we would give it a try. It doesn’t look like much from the parking lot and the inside area was a bit dark, so we chose to eat out on the back deck. Three of us chose the chicken and one ordered the meatloaf. We were pleasantly surprised that our meals were excellent! We also had appetizers - sweet potato fries with a maple mustard dipping sauce, and a cheese spread with toasted bread slices. We loved both appetizers as well. If you pass this place up you will definitely regret it. If I lived in Vermont I think I would eat there every week!

Hyde Away has always been a reliable restaurant, offering nicely prepared meals at reasonable prices. They've done an especially nice job of adapting to Covid with attractive outdoor seating options.

Fantastic service service and food as always! Outdoor seating is fantastic as was seating in the bar areas.

Service was terrible. We had a 7:15 reservation for three which we were right on time for and we didn’t leave the restaurant until 9:40. Everything was slow from the beginning to end! We didn’t even have the patience to look at the dessert menu we were so frustrated and we are dessert lovers! Also, we just didn’t feel welcomed from the hostess and she was very cranky when we were trying to decide on a table. It’s tricky navigating these times at restaurants and the hostess was not patient.

We found a great local gem! We reserved a table for 6 outside and when it started pouring, they very nicely provided a space for us inside. Very nice staff, food was good. We will definitely return.
