Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse - Northville, MI
Thank you for your feedback. We pride ourselves on our award-winning food and service. We are pleased to hear our staff had provided a memorable dining experience. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Fantastic. The best in the area.
The lights were dim and the type on the menu small. Maybe the lighting above tables can be adjusted? Fleming's seems to have found a winning formula
Only downfall was I couldn’t see the menu because it was too dark. Other than that it was a great experience.
I was disappointed with the service. It only works for them if you are buying alcohol. They do not pay attention to you if you do not drink. I water glass was empty and they never refilled it. They never checked on how the food was until the bill came. Disappointed
This was my 2nd visit to Hyde Park in Northville. As always the food and wait service was excellent.
However the hostess upon arriving did not greet us at all but just stated how can I help you.
No hello, hi, or good evening. I personally did not care as everyone does not speak BUT unfortunately the people in my party thought it was quite rude.
Going away dinner
My husband and I went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was a wonderful experience from the service which was exceptional, to the food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. My husband was made to feel special on his birthday and the signed birthday card and free dessert was a memorable touch! Thank you!
I truly enjoyed my experience at Hyde Park. Food was amazing, service was phenomenal and ambiance was superb.
We celebrated a Birthday and they made the experience Wonderful.
Will be returning soon
this is the place for a wonderful evening the lobster tail was the best
Hi - the dishes we had were saltier than they needed to be and we were excited for our steak only to be told 15 mins after the order was placed that they were out of that particular meat and had to choose something else. Manager left his card at the table but didn’t apologize for this. We ended up ordering the porterhouse which was just OK for a $65 steak.
First rate food, drink and service!
Great steakhouse. Food was excellent and service as well. It is expensive but definitely comparable if not better than Flemings and Ruth Chris. We will go back
Excellent every time. Highly recommend! The wait staff is also exceptional.
Gray birthday celebration with family!
Menu was disappointing just basic entrees with separate side dishes. Did not find any unique ingredients or preparations. Overpriced for traditional steakhouse menu. Very dark and stodgy ambiance. Will not be returning to this restaurant.
From the Valet to the wait staff everyone was fantastic. The food was perfect and we cannot wait to go back again. For anyone who loves carrot cake you MUST get the colossal carrot cake.
It was just a very nice dining experience. Our food was delicious and our server was very attentive and courteous.
all dinners were great
manager gave us an appetizer-tuna good
service little slow-- little busy-we were not in a hurry though
after dinner coffees good
The entire evening went splendidly. Our food was delicious and the service was great. I took my own bottle of wine and was glad they had a corkage policy - just don’t bring something that they already have on the wine list. Highly recommended.
We had their last reservation of the night and we were treated like we were their first. Excellent staff, service, and food!! I had the filet mignon and my husband had the surf and turf; both were perfectly cooked and presented. We will definitely be back, at an earlier time, in the future.
My girlfriend and I went to Hyde park steakhouse for a late Valentine’s Day dinner and had a wonderful experience. From the great ambience to the incredibly scrumptious food and amazing staff, this restaurant far exceeded our expectations and we will be dining here again!
Always a pleasure to be treated well. Always a pleasure to have excellent service and food.
Loved everything about the experience with the exception of my steak tasting charred. It was cooked as requested but very charred.
Service was excellent too.
Our new favorite place. They aim to please the customer. The food is excellent, and service is spectacular. Free Valet Parking too. Can't say enough good about it. We have been there twice now and plan to return.
We love the way the crab legs are served, very user friendly! We also love the Wedge salad, and shrimp cocktail. Thank you!
This was my first time and it was amazing from the valet to the waitress. The food was amazing and it came out in a timely matter for it to be so busy on the day after Valentine’s Day. I will be back multiple times.
Nice place, not too noisy and service was good and pleasant. I had the porterhouse steak. Was cooked good but way to salty. I couodnt even finish it. A bit pricey but I guess about what you woukd expect for a place like this. Unlikely I would go again.
The service was very good! We were seated in a nice booth near the TVs so that my husband could watch the game! The waitress as very nice, and so were the other staff. Issue was the food. We have been to both the Birmingham and Northville locations and the food lacked in Northville. I ordered calamari and it was very sweet to the point we couldn't finish it. I also ordered the surf and turf. The steak was supposed to be medium well it was overdone and dry. The lobster tail was overcooked to the point I couldn't get it out of the shell. Because we arrived when they first opened there were not a ton a people in the restaurant, so can't blame it on being busy. It just wasn't good.
Steak was magnificent, cooked to perfection, the Scallops were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, the sides were stellar, and the service was truly top notch. Can't say I've had a better dining experience. Thank you!
It’s started off slow. The servers took a while to come over. After 20 plus mins of waiting they finally came . The restaurant wasn’t packed at all so no clue why it took so long. Once the server arrived she was very attentive and the food was great.
Valentine’s Day. Service was great. Had eaten at another Hyde Park location (a few times) and it’s always fantastic. Tonight, the service was excellent as always, however the food was sub par compared to normal. The Wagyu filet I had was ordered “as the Chef feels it should be prepared” meaning, I want the chef to cook it how he believes it should be for that cut of meat. Being someone who frequents a lot of nice restaurants and enjoys a wide variety of cuisine, it was not done right at all. I’m certain the chef took no pride in cooking my $75 wagyu cut. It was very unevenly cooked with 1 quarter of it being close to well done (never ok for any steak especially a filet and certainly not for a $75 cut of wagyu beef) and another portion was medium and a tiny bite of two of the remaining pieces was mid rare at very best. It tasted like it was cooked on a poorly heated propane grill and although it should have been 8oz per the menu, it looked as though it was 1/3 the size of my girlfriends regular filet cut that was also 8oz. The gruyere gratin potato’s were great like usual but the asparagus was charred on some spots. The lobster bisque was excellent, though and the setting is very nice.
Overall for the $235 it cost for two cuts of meat (both 8oz filets), the two smaller family sized sides, 1 bowl of soup, $55 (cheaper) bottle of wine and molten lava chocolate cake.... I could have gotten the exact same “filet” at Outback for 1/3 the price and had a very similar taste experience. And, I hate Outback I’m simply proving a point.
Very disappointing (it was my girlfriends first time eating at Hyde Park) experience food wise. I didn’t even say anything to the server (who was very nice and knowledgeable) because I didn’t want to throw off our Valentines evening.
Although this may have been a one off experience, I was extremely unhappy with a restaurant that is usually one of my favorites.
My first and most likely last time dining at Hyde Park. The complementary valet service was fast and friendly. We were sat down at our table quickly with reservations. We were given a booth by the bar wich was ok but not very romantic and kind of loud. We ordered a few cocktails that tasted just ok and the Calamari that was flavorful but a little rich and heavy. The evening took a turn for the worst after my wife and I both received cool/lukewarm Lobster bisque soup. Upon being notified of our cool soups the waiter suggested she take them back to the kitchen to be reheated only after taking a jab at us saying that "we must like our soup extra extra hot!" Only to return to the table with two cool/ lukewarm Lobster bisque soups. The thick bowls the soups were served in were slightly warm on the outside bottom of the bowl like they were microwaved for only a few seconds and reserved to us. We sent the soups back to have them removed from our bill. Very disappointing experience. After waiting over an hour our dinner was finally served. I had very little confidence in the food at this point. Praying that it would at least be served hot. We ordered the Lobster mac and cheese that tasted bland and the Sauteed spinach and mushrooms that was very good and flavorful. We each had the 12 oz Filet Steak Sanders and sadly it was just average. As our food was being boxed to go another waitress asked how our meal was and upon finding out about the cold soup she confessed that other customers had complained about the soup that night telling us that someone in the kitchen left the top off of the soup pot. Wanting to make things better she offered us a complimentary dessert. We chose the warm butter cake only for the cake to arrive at the table frozen. Nothing warm about a frozen cake. The icecream and banana fosters it was served with was good. I don't believe I will be returning anytime soon. Very disappointing experience.
Everything was delicious. The steaks melted in your mouth Literally. The crab cakes delicious. The side was all good. The waitresses were very friendly and prompt. It was well worth every dollar. They say u get what u pay for.
Very caring wait staff. I had a migraine and they brought me an icepack to help ease the discomfort.
Amazing! My favorite~
Went above and beyond to help celebrate a friend’s birthday!
Birthday dinner, great overall experience.
