Il Corso - Palm Springs
We made this reservation a good month ago. We then went in for dinner at the bar one evening to also confirm the reservation, and we to choose the seats. We chose the banquette near the back, for eight people, at 7:30PM. When we arrived on Friday night, a couple had already been seated at that table, and there were no other banquette seats available. The host seemed flummoxed as to what to do. We a,so told him that there would only be six of us. He finally offered us a table in the middle of the room. Exactly where we hadn’t wanted to sit. It turned out alright, but since it was my birthday dinner, with good friends, it wasn’t exactly as I’d planned on. Our waiter was okay, but not overly attentive. We had to keep flagging him down to get additional drinks, bread, etc. we did enjoy our food, and we will return again, but prefer to sit at the bar, where Mark takes good care of us!
Please accept our deepest apologies, this whole incident could have been prevented. To be abundantly clear we DO NOT take reservations at the bar area (high tops) since the bar area was designed originally to take the overflow of business. I am truly sorry you were misinformed. Please be advised of this rule in the future, we appreciate your business and we hope to see you soon. Il Corso Management.
This is a beautiful restaurant with great service and great food. I recommend it without hesitation!
Beautiful setting. Fantastic food. Great service.
Our experience was very negative due to one of our guests hurting her tooth on a meatball, finding something hard in the meatball and both the waiter and the manager were not responsive. Our out of town guests were surprised that my husband and I, Palm Springs residents, had to call the manager over and ask that the situation be handled. Even then, our guest was questioned as if she had done something wrong and although another dinner was given to her to go, our meal and evening had become unenjoyable.
Beautiful space. Excellent service. Food was nothing special.
Excellent food and service in this relatively new restaurant on the Palm Springs dining scene. It’s a very welcome addition! The interior design is far superior to most restaurants and it is centrally located in the redeveloped downtown area.
Good good. Had the bolognese which was very typical bolignese and yummy. Very rich. Pasta made fresh. Would go again and try the branzino as it was suppose to be great as well
First time trying Il Corso and everyone in our party of 6 was generally very happy with their meal.
First time at this location. Absolutely a delight.
Wonderful food & service with Luis was over the top. A true professional.
Great service to top off a splendid meal is a treasure.
Kudos to Luis & to his bus server.
Great pizza and service
The restaurant has the look of a very chic urban place. But from there it is a disappointment. The hostess was dull and not particularly welcoming considering we had a reservation. The table was nice and again the patio is gorgeous. The waiter was trained and tried hard but needs experience. Slow getting cocktails to table. The restaurant was half full. . Lots of service personnel but not effective. Was hoping for something more for the city. The food was not really satisfactory for the price!!!
Besides the table being off balanced, the food and service was great
We waited one and half after ordering food entrees still hadn’t arrived and we got up and left the restaurant. Will never go back to this restaurant again
We have been there many times and continue to return... love the place
Had a wonderful experience dining Al Fresco and being served by very attentive staff.
Started with the Moscow Mule that has fresh pineapple added, and my wife at a Limoncello Lemon Drop.
The tomatoes and mozzarella for an appetizer was a great choice.
I had the sea bass which was outstanding and my wife had the Lasagna which was cooked to perfection.
Overall, you can’t beat Il Corso for the true Palm Springs experience.
It was a wonderful experience. Everyone, from the hostess to the busboys were just super and took really good care of us. Our waiter Luis was great and very patient answering 1001 questions. Love that space...will definitely be back.
Great b cake but uneven service. Very nice staff
Considering the restaurant was empty, we were rushed through our meal. Food wa average for the price and did not show as advertised on their web site.
Great food, great service, great location and a tasteful restaurant decor. An excellent experience with
a definite return visit in mind.
Overall, a disappointing experience. We were a table for two on a Saturday night. Restaurant was bustling. We were seated promptly and everyone on staff was friendly. Server was attentive, but there were a couple long gaps when we needed him and he wasn't around.
I had the mussels for a starter, and they were very disappointing. I had to decide whether to continue eating them or not. They mussels themselves were cooked appropriately and had a nice texture, but the broth tasted acrid. Seemed watery and bitter. For a main I had the veal saltimboca. It was good, but not a wow. Tasted like a step above Olive Garden. Certainly not what I would expect from a restaurant like Il Corso, much less as this price point. My partner had the lasagna, which he said was good but not a "wow". It was a bit dry and he needed to ask for additional tomato sauce. For dessert we ordered a simple serving of lemon sorbet. It was served on a white plate with a white doily in a clear rocks glass. Not easy to share it from a rocks glass, and presentation was ordinary. No mint, no nothin'. Again, this is what we'd expect from a chain restaurant in a mall.
Overall, our experience was "meh." We won't be back.
Delicious food at a convenient location! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Owner was in house, so out waiter spent all of his time with that table. Our service was TERRIBLE! Summer prix fixe menu is a great value and food was quite tasty. Have had it before and would opt for it again. Great decor, moderately noisy when crowded but terribly understaffed for a Saturday night. With their first restaurant well-established, I should think they'd know better how to guage staff to reservations.
Staff seems indifferent and unfriendly and forgets about patrons frequently. Ongoing issue since they opened this locale.
Ordered the special and should have asked the price, the fish wasn’t that good and found out it was $50. Very average meal for a very high price
Great Location, Great Service, Great Food!
Nice wine list.
Very average food. Palm Springs and Palm Desert are about the same. Noting special. I wish i could post the cartwheel emoji. It’s a thumbs down 👎🏻
Great addition to Palm Springs. Love this place.
We were celebrating a birthday and all was perfect! I had asked for a specific table, and got it. Our server was delightful and the food wonderful. We had a wonderful dining experience and will be back soon!
I love Il Corso in Palm Springs. The food is always great but they still can't get knowledgable and competent staff. Unfortunate, because everything else is great.
Was a pleasant surprise delicious enjoyed the three-course summer menu choice. I will definitely be going back I’ve heard great things about their happy hour 🍸
Good food, good service!
Nice time for all, good for birthdays and other special events. Food could be better,
It is still too loud in the main dining room. It’s difficult to carry on a conversation. I typically sit in the bar and use the bar menu. But the person I was with one of the dining room.
Thoroughly pleased with every aspect of our visit to your restaurant. Will be back soon!
Fabulous meal with very attentive service. They were also very accommodating with my wive’s gluten free needs.
Excellent food. Great service.
The 80’s music was horrible from the bar. I did talk to the manager about it on our way out. He did correct the issue. I hope the next time I dine there the music will be better.
Jesus was the best server—he was kind, pleasant and attentive. Food was phenomenal as well as a beautiful ambiance. I felt the prices were fair as well. This is what Palm Springs needs more of — authentic, real food, with the atmosphere to match! Will recommend.
I would have before my last visit, now nope! The quality of the food was very marginal. Never was like that before...Hoping the are not cutting back on quality to make more money like most other restaurants do
