Fantastic Italian food right across from the new Wintrust Stadium. Top shelf service, selections and food. Highly recommended
The food was just not flavorful. Meat products were horrible and we picked the chicken out of the pasta. Chicken was removed from our bill.
This was my third time here and everything was fantastic as usual!
This place is great and the wait staff is excellent.
Excellent first time experience, marinara was amazing, fresh sweet and tangy. Great portions, but also well cooked meal. Service top notch, attentive & prompt but not hoovering around you. Great wine selection. Highly recommend.
Birthday for the wife while visiting in Chicago
Love. For any reason.
We enjoyed beet salad, gnocchi, and orecchiette. They were all delicious! A great meal.
Very good service and pleasant staff. Food was very good. We all agreed that we would return.
We got in very quick for an early dinner following our trade show day. The food was delicious, our waiter was entertaining and efficient and the restaurant was quaint. It wasn't very full when we arrived so it was fairly quiet but I imagine as the dining room filled it might get pretty noisy as it is a small open space.
Delicious food, quality wines and excellent service! I’ve been twice and had a great experience other times.
Good food and service
Great food great desert!!! My waiter was outstanding... He was like a waiter from the Four Season restaurant!!!
First time at the restaurant. Went early due to having a 3 year old with us. They brought something for the young one to munch on and provided great food and service at a very good price.
Over I give the restaurant four and one half stars. The homemade bread was mediocre as you can get good crust from a steam injection bread over or other techniques. Food was not over salted which is a common problem today. Caesar salad was good but not great, on the salty and lemony side. Chicken Marsala and salmon dish very good. I would recommend this restaurant.
Staff was very responsive and accommodated changes as needed. Service was fast and food was delicious. Thank you!
We had an outstanding experience at the restaurant. Kayla was our server and was awesome. Food, drinks, service and ambience were all top notch!!
Greg and Tracy
The ambiance was nice. The staff was friendly and attentive. I was able to find street parking and did not have to pay the high cost of private parking at the residential building next to the restaurant. The establishment provided plenty of seating. Nice place for a business meeting.
Excellent and tasty fare. Would recommend highly!
Very attentive and knowledgeable staff
Service was exceptionally slow and the food was okay but pricey for what is was.
Decent Italian food at a fair price for the area. They did seem to push a bit as far as service went. The waitress was very busy and did not have a lot of time to spend going over the menu. Once we ordered, she was not as available to help with questions as I would have liked. A larger staff would be very helpful.
Great food and service! Would return if at McCormick Plaza again.
This was one of the most enjoyable dinners with friends and 3 children under the age of 6! Food was excellent, every dish was so delicious and the pasta dishes were made to perfection! Service was excellent even with having 2 very excited boys under 6! Way to go IL Culaccino!
Can’t wait to visit you again.
The food was ok to mediocre. My Chicken Marsala was over cooked and the brown sauce was light and bland. The fried calamari hard to chew and the tiramisu was ok. Though you get large portions, it did not make up for how the food tasted.
Our general consensus matched many of the review we read prior to coming: the food is just alright. Otherwise good enough ambiance and wine.
Food was great but portions are just a bit to large. It is very loud so conversation can difficult. Service was great as well
The food was outstanding large portions and a nice size restaurant, noise level increases as the night goes on and looking forward to next year and warm weather for the outside seating.
Really good experience!
Service was awesome and food was too!!!
This is our new go-to spot in the neighborhood for old school Italian food! The staff and owner are really nice. Truly a neighborhood gem!
The food was okay but not great. The price was much higher than similar Italian restaurants in Chicago.
Everything was great! However, my husband and I drove 2 hours to Chicago to meet my sons future mother in law from New York (for the first time) who was in town for a meeting, and we were asked to leave soon after we finished our dessert because they “needed“ the table. There was no line of people waiting for a table and the table next to us was available, as were other tables. I just felt that was very rude. I could appreciate them doing that had there been a line out the door with people waiting. In fact, we would have been sensitive to that and left on our own but that was not the case.
excellent dining! would definitely recommend and hope they do well in the south loop
Always friendly, courteous snd DELICIOUS Italian dishes !
First impression suggests that ll Culaccino is a good replica of a traditional Little Italy restaurant, cheerful wait staff, solid menu and friendly atmosphere. What they missed out on was a quality chef.
We tried a chicken dish and a pasta dish. Both were mediocre, sorry to say. Spaghetti was not home made; sauces were thin. I get the feeling they are trying hard to impress and I'll try again after they have been open a bit longer.
Excellent food, very generous portions. Shane was our server. He was attentive and informative. One of our best dining experiences in Chicago. I had the clams and linguini in white wine sauce. I don’t think I’ve ever been served so many clams. The dish was tastefully seasoned and just delicious. Do NOT leave the building without having the deconstructioned cannoli; To. Die. For!!!!
Good food, great service, very loud.
excellent energetic service, nice wine list of Italian and California choices at a reasonable markup, good pasta and veal
This was our first experience at ll Culaccino and it was a fantastic one! Our meal was exceptional!! Our server was very kind, fun & attentive. We attended dinner with our friends. Each of us ordered a different chicken dinner. While waiting for our dinner we shared an appetizing Caprese Salad along with drinks. Delightful warm Italian bread with olive oil was placed on our table - a very nice start to our meal. I sipped on a delightful vodka cocktail and my husband enjoyed the Al Capone drink. Our friends shared a bottle of red wine which they loved. Our server brought our beautifully presented Chicken dishes. Each dish had great sized portions. I ordered the Chicken Limone with Gluten Free pasta. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the Limone sauce was light, lemony and so delicious. Thank you for having a gluten free option. My husband ordered the Chicken Parmigiana served on top of a large portion of pasta with a red marinara sauce - it looked wonderful. My friend ordered Chicken Marsala. The chicken cutlets thinly cut topped with a Marsala sauce and sautéed mushrooms - Heavenly! Her husband ordered the Chicken Milanese topped with Arugula, tomatoes, onion and an Italian Vinaigrette. All superbly displayed. We truly enjoyed these delectable meals.
As we were finishing up the manager was visiting his restaurant guest and stopped by our table. He was young, energetic and extremely cordial. He welcomed us to his restaurant and listened to our comments. After he left our table a few moments later he surprised us with a amazing large piece of Tiramisu!! The four of us shared this light, luscious dessert - savoring each yummy bite. That was such a kind gesture and one we all truly appreciated! Thank you!
Welcome to our neighborhood ll Culaccino!! It’s is so nice to have you here. Our whole experience was an outstanding one! We look forward to enjoying your restaurant again. Across from Wintrust Arena in the South Loop.
Food and service was great. Atmosphere was very nice
