This place was amazing! Absolutely great! Loved the food, music and drinks.
Consistently delicious Italian food in such a fun atmosphere!
Trite menu, average food at too high a price point with an overtly sexist waiter. There are better Italian options less than a mile away.
The hospitality, food (appetizers, entrees, and desserts), and wines were very good. The Wine Steward made good recommendations and we enjoyed multiple bottles. Every time I'm in Atlanta, I look forward to a visit here.
I'd been wanting to try Il Localino for some time given many positive reviews I've read. The food was actually very good, although quite expensive....especially appetizers and salads! We did enjoy many of the unique dishes and preps but at the end of the day their prices were near top of the mark. Very unique atmosphere but music got very loud until we asked to have it toned down some, and it went back up after awhile! Service was average to inattentive, especially for the price. Probably will not be in our regular rotation from an overall value perspective, but again, food was very good.
Great time guaranteed! I have absolutely no complaints. Everything from the food to the service was beyond exceptional!
Thank you iL Localino
Exceptional food, service and ambiance. Truly an experience. Everything from the homemade outrageous bread to the homemade garlic butter is excellent: then onto the fabulous lobster fra diavolo outstanding. Really a special place.
Best Italian restaurant in Atlanta
Anytime I have friends in town, this is the place to impress and wow. The service and atmosphere is always outstanding, as is the food.
One of the nicest places my husband and I have been to. The food was fantastic.
Absolutely fell in love with this place and the staff! Perfect place for a celebration. It was pricey and keep in mind the entrees come alone with all sides a la carte, so the total can definitely climb fast with all the yummy authentic options. Food is definitely fresh, I had the Gnocchi with was the pasta only and definitely delicious. Nice serving to for sure fill you up along with the fresh bread delivered to the table with freshly made garlic butter. The decor was unique, homey and comfortable. Felt like we entered another world full of good spirits and vibes as the entire restaurant sang along to YMCA during dinner. Random fun hats 🎩 started being passed out to dinner guest by staff as we all ate, some danced around and sing along it was a unique awesome experience. I believe it was the owner walking around with a beautiful Italian accent speaking to all guest with an amazing personality, he was the icing on the cake. It was my son’s 22nd birthday, he loved it and we definitely left feeling like we exited a little world where everyone that entered was then apart of this sensational good vibe while we dined. I recommend anyone to come just prepare for the slightly pricey menu and a la carte sides BUT IT IS SO WORTH IT! I can’t wait to surprise someone else with this little jewel of happiness on Highland. My best reference is great food with a Mary Poppins experience and all good vibes! Try it! Not sure if every night is like that but I’m soooo appreciative we got to experience it. My son LOVED his birthday dinner.
Came here for my 30th birthday and had a BLAST. The owner, Gio, is so lovely and showered us with all kinds of extra goodies. The staff is incredibly attentive and food is to die for!!! They even gave me a sparkly hat to wear for my birthday. I loved it. Soundtrack was on point too.. Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Village People. Such a fun place to have a special meal, night out with friends or date night. Highly suggest!!!
Absolutely incredible. I love this restaurant every single time I go!
We love this place! Wish we lived closer in order to make it there more often!
Over the last 20 years, we have dined here when going to Horizon theater. The food is always good and the atmosphere is fun and kitschy. The prices, however, have gone up so very much, that this restaurant is no longer in range with other god Italian restaurants in the city.
$16.50 for a small salad or $14.00 soup as an appetizer is overpriced. The entrees are also about $4-$5 overpriced each. We noticed that other diners still received a tasting of sorbet as an intermezzo, we did not. Other tables were offered specials and mushroom cart appetizers, we were not.
Although tasty, they have just out priced themselves in my opinion. Such a shame as the food is delicious and the owner is a charming host.
Great spot, terrific food and unique atmosphere! Can't wait to go back
Incredible. You’d never know you weren’t in Little Italy NYC!
Very fun atmosphere with a side of romance. Garlic butter was amazing first of, with the warm bread. Vast wine selection. I enjoyed a classic Old Fashion made perfectly. My lamb wall fall off the bone. The waiter brought me extra, they want you to eat! It’s was fun start to the night. Definitely returning.
Our favorite Italian restaurant in all of Atlanta!!
Food was great, a little pricey, very nice ambience just a little tight
lovely, intimate restaurant with delicious food .
Simply Amazing! The staff was friendly , attentive, and knowledgeable of the entire food and wine menu. We were greeted by the owner and he made us feel like family.
I went to IL Localino for my 30th birthday & it was fabulous! I thoroughly enjoyed the family vibe and will definitely be back here for more. I ordered the gnocchi & my date had chicken Alfredo - both so delicious! We shared the chocolate lava cake with chocolate gelato, I’d come back just for that ! 10/10 recommend.
Chaotic and confusing with poor service. The only time we were attended to was with frequent attempts to upsell. No one bothered to ask how the food was, or to refill water. Alternately shushed for having conversations and told not to be “too serious”. We will stick to La Grotta.
Beautiful setting!!! Everything was great and the food was exquisite. 10/10
Absolutely love this place
IL Localino not only provided a fabulous dinner but an incredible birthday experience! The service was phenomenal, music great and such a fun birthday finale! Just love IL Localino!oo
5 star. Amazing restaurant
We loved the ambience, LOVED the food and the overall vibe. We will be back!
We normally LOVE IL Localino and it's our go-to spot for special occasions. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed by our experience on Valentine's Day. I totally get that this is probably their busiest day of the year, but given how long they've been around and how great they normally are, it was quite surprising how bad it was. First, our reservation was for 8:45 and we were not sat until 9:30. We went to the bar to get a drink because we had nothing else to do (driving up the price of the bill) and the bartender didn't take our order for probably 15 minutes because he was just so busy. Then, when we sat down and our waiter finally came to take our orders, we went ahead and ordered everything. We decided to forgo the prix fix menu since it was a lot of food and both got the chicken parm. Our waiter said "Your salad? And side of pasta?" making us think both came with the meal. But neither was included, making our bill WAY higher than we thought. Both the salad and the pasta were nothing to write home about and were super expensive for whar they were; we definitely wouldn't have gotten them if we'd known. To top it off, it seemed like literally every single table there was given shots of limoncello and a rose when they were leaving and we didn't; not a big deal obviously, but it was kind of just the icing on the cake of a disappointing Valentine's Day experience. However the chicken parm and wine were FANTASTIC as usual and the ambiance is amazing - you really can't beat it. We will come back for sure, but definitely not again on a busy night and hopefully with a different waiter.
It was great time. Food was amazing.
IL Localino never disappoints! Even on a holiday like Valentine's Day they hit it out of the park with service, food quality and cost! Never change; THANK YOU!
Went for Valentine’s Day. Food was great. The service was terrible. We waited 15 minutes to sit down for our reservation. Then we had a 30+ minute wait for a server and then we finally had a busser serve us because we couldn’t get a waiter. Felt uncomfortable and will not go back. Had been a fan of the place before this experience.
The food and service were absolutely amazing. It felt expensive and is definitely a date-night. The pre-fix menu has a ton of food so we didn't do it. Overall, everything was amazing, though.
Valentine’s Day dinner was wonderful!
Great family run restaurant with fabulous food and atmosphere. Service was a little spotty, but it was a very crowded Valentines night. The owners were fantastic, checking on guests and you just feel like family.
As soon you walk into this hidden gem of restaurant you feel like you’re in a wonderland of sorts. Every member of the staff, starting from the hostess to the servers are extremely polite and pleasant. The food is delicious. It’s true authentic Italian food. I came here with my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day dinner. I had a reservation and we seated immediately. It was around 530 so the restaurant wasn’t nearly as busy as it got when it was time for us to leave. Enjoyed every moment of this experience. Will definitely be back.
The waiters were great very helpful the owner came over to introduce himself and is very charismatic and entertaining. I ask him about his friend Frank Sinatra. He told me great stories about him. The food was terrific; it was Frank's favorite. It was a fantastic experience.
Perfect, from the friendly-family service to the delicious food, this place makes you feel like you’re in Italy for the night.
