   When I visit a speakeasy, I expect a secret or hidden type of entrance, something out of the ordinary or exciting but there was no such experience at Illegal. Inside, it was decorated nicely but it was very loud. The music was bumping like a club, I didn’t feel like I could have a quiet conversation with my date. The drinks were good and I enjoyed watching the bartender cut ice off the block. I don’t think I will return, there are better lounges.

   I went in for the first time last Saturday. We gave our order of 2 drinks and two appetizers. The server took our order, and almost an hour later, we had to ask for the drinks … then more time went by and no food …when I asked her about the food she said she forgot, or didn’t realize we ordered food and never put the order in. She did nothing to try to accommodate us .We asked for the check and left. $40 for two drinks waited over an hour, not a good first experience. I will say …on a good note…the place is beautiful. The vibe is perfect, music was great , this place has great potential they need more help.

   The place is very nice inside. Our table needed to be cleaned there was sticky stuff on it , we had to ask server to clean it . The service could use a little work. We feel like when our servers friends came in we were forgotten about. We were waiting for change from someone who took our bill , and the original server brought us a bill again instead of our change. They also had to go find change. This place has potential just get better staff . The drinks were great 👍🏼 the hostess was on point .

    This was a great experience. We liked it better than the other speakeasy in town (which we also love!). We got the charcuterie which was tasty but probably the most overpriced item on the menu. The shrimp aguachiles was amazing! My husband ordered 3 old fashions and thought they were great. I got the first cocktail on the menu (don’t remember the name but it had gin and vodka and “sloe” in the title)…it was beautiful but a bit too sweet for me. I then ordered a tom collins (not on menu), and it was superb! We will be back!

    My husband and I went in for the first time on Valentine's Day. We absolutely loved it. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic date. Very loungie with a cool vibe. Drinks are great and so is their service. They only have a bar menu, but it's very good. The Saxophonist was very good as well. Definitely going back!

    Benny was our bar tender and he was very informative on the menu and made our time at the speakeasy so great. He is a craftsman in mixology and made our drinks to perfection. The ambiance of the space, the amazing drinks, the top notch staff, and the super cool interior design will definitely bring us back to this space many more times and with many more people!     It’s such a nice place for a date. The setting/ambiance is definitely the best part of the experience. And the servers were very attentive. Everything else—drinks, food, and price—was good but nothing spectacular. Overall, we had a wonderful evening at a classy local establishment and we will go there again.

    First time, it was everything!! Great food, great service, not to loud nice place to caught up with friends and be able to hear each other! They also have very high end tequila! Their shrimp agua chile was on point! The service is wonderful also! I highly recommended this this place!

    Took my wife out to date night. Ambience was amazing. Dark and private. We got the grilled cheese and shared. It’s a little pricey but was delicious! Drinks were small sized but also very delicious. Biggest problem I had was the seating was very small and low to the ground. The seats were round leather seats with no back so you pretty much slouch the whole time. I would recommend tall bar stools so people have the option to stand. If your making reservations for 2-4 guess I recommend you ask for a wall section so only 2 people half to suffer. Great place to have private business meetings

    Reservation for one but the waiters made me feel like I was amongst friends. They both did an outstanding job checking up on me while still allowing me to enjoy my alone time. Very professional and comforting. Tastefully dark ambiance will take you back in time. Will definitely be coming back again. Loved it!

    So I've been here twice now...ambiance is great as well as service. Decor is awesome. I assumed from photos and videos online that there would be music and it was quite like a library. I went on a Friday night and it wasn't fun liked I hoped it would be. Menu is very small.... not many options for food, eat down stairs.     Going to this place is definitely an experience of adventure, sophistication, class and atmosphere. You start off by going through this long hallway surrounded by bricks on your left and right to find a server who will see you so then they guide you upstairs and down another hallway until they open the curtain to see a dimly lit elegant restaurant and bar. Keep in mind that you will spend it pretty penny at this place but for the quality that you get I'd say that it's worth it. We ordered the tuna tartare which my surprise was small but explosion of taste left and right that compliment each other perfectly, the bikini sandwich I would not recommend as it's just a toasted sandwich with melted cheese which is not gooey or stretchy at all but plain. The real winner of all their dishes I would say is the burrata as it comes with a variety of flavors tomatoes herbs balsamic vinegar lemon zest cheese the perfect combination that'll give you a taste buds a high. The drinks are a top notch experience from their old fashioned which is expensive but for the quality and taste that you get it's an experience you probably won't get anywhere else. They also have tons of other interesting drinks but I would just recommend transplant and sing for yourself my only complaint I would say is that the seating situation for some of the spots are very small but I would definitely go again and probably just sit somewhere else inside. Again definitely an experience with going to.

    This was my first experience at Ilegal and I was very impressed. The vibe was so calm. Definitely a lounge for people who are over the loud club scene.     When we arrived I was told by the host that in the future the dress code is business casual. but that they were being "laxed" so tonight was fine.. I was dressed in a polo shirt with khaki shorts my wife black pants and a blouse. maybe the shorts were not "business" We where then sat behind a couch where another party was sitting. A very uncomfortable spot for both parties, their hair inches away from our food. they should really remove this table. After being told about the dress code I was looking around and saw that most people dressed semi business. Most men were wearing t-shirts and jeans. yes a few people in shorts. Im guessing they were all told the same. We were greeted shortly after we sat down. The team seamed to be very well put together, drinks and food came out quickly. The manger even came and introduced himself. I will likely visit again I will def request a bench seat. and next time dress without shorts. I've never been told my outfit was not fitting for the restaurant I was visiting and I frequently dine at high end establishments.

    Had a great experience at Ilegal 1895, the drinks were the best. My favorite was the espresso martini. The food was decent, overpriced for what it is, but good. The ambiance is great, but they do not enforce the dress code they outline on their website. There were people wearing flip flops and very casual clothes.     I had high hopes for your establishment. I was really excite to celebrate my friends birthday. However it was way too hot in there, not comfortable. There was supposed to be a strict dress code and their was girls there in cut off shorts. The waitress was rude about the bill. We asked if we could pay with part cash part card. She declined. Said she could only take one card for the whole bill and explained rudely that’s why you have zelle. We also asked for a red bill or Diet Coke. The waitress said no. Then 10 mins later showed up with a regular coke. Overall not the experience we were expecting.

    music level was a bit too loud that it was hard to hear our servers. first server wasn’t too knowledgeable of menu. we were a little disappointed when told the drinks were premixed so no liquor substitutions we’re allowed. The ambiance was beautiful tho
