Came to town to experience dining out again. This was a favorite of mine when I lived closer. Food was good, not awesome like I remembered, but it IS hard to find a tender, juicy filet that you want cooked medium well.
GREAT FOOD! Menu is small, but everything on it sounded great. We were extremely satisfied with the appetizer, entrees and dessert at our table. The dining room is dated and didn't have the feel of fine dining that we expected, but it was clean and spacious. Music was weird, but it wasn't very loud and you could easily tune it out. Prices were fair. Service was slow even though there were very few customers. Seemed like the waitress was the problem, not the kitchen. (It was a Tuesday during the covid pandemic, so that might have accounted for some of it.) BUT THE FOOD MAKES UP FOR ALL THE NEGATIVES! Maybe we'll see if they do carry out...
It was a great dinner and the service was excellent. I had the special which was a veal chop with mashed sweet potatoes. I highly recommend Indigo.
Great specials and outstanding service.
Start to finish 5 stars
Strip was cooked perfectly
Tanitian butter glaze for Lobster tail was out of this world
Fished w/ sinless chocolate cake
Indigo rarely disappoints
The service was excellent. Our waitress was on point, and the food was delicious.
Great service and excellent food.
Delicious as always, and great service!
First time at Indigo, for dinner, in a few years, always thought a little pricey. Went for our Anniversary. Will definitely return.
Food was excellent, and reasonably priced. Outstanding wine list, including from our favorite vineyard: BV.
As top-flight was the food/wine, service was even more so: Kara, our server, was outstanding, attentive, not hovering. If we needed something, brought it immediately.
Only down side, and this is VERY minor, ambience at Indigo can be daunting to a first time attendee, somewhat dark, can be hard to see depending on where seated. Love the dog frescos on the walls.
A little sceptical when we drove into a strip mall type parking lot, then we were warmly greeted by the lovely hostess and relaxed a bit. She showed us to a high top near the bar (and the action) which we asked for and were promptly welcomed by our server Cara.
She recommended their cocktail menu and we absolutely loved our choices. We then ordered entrees of seared ahi and 6 rack of lamb. Both came out perfectly prepared and beautifully plated - and absolutely delicious! Oh, and great portions and delicious mashed potatoes and beans. During the meal we enjoyed 2 glasses of wine and were asked about our meals from the server as well as the owners. I just wish indigo had a restaurant close to us (in California)!
We enjoyed two of our favorite menu items: Rack of Lamb and Chilean Sea Bass. We have had both before. The preparation varies from time to time and we have always enjoyed them . But this time the the preparation we extra tasty, especially the lamb - tender an flavorful!!!
Great meal and service
Had tuna and crab legs
Always five stars.
Great space to enjoy a quiet meal. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Very customer oriented in their approach.
Always top shelf!
It’s always great, and this time was especially good. Everything was perfect!
Always quality experience with good food and great service. Consistent and reliable.
A very relaxing evening with one descriptor: Impeccable. The service was spot on; the cheese board included an eclectic array of cheeses, crackers, bacon jam, seedy mustard, and might fine homemade pickles; the lobster bisque was flavorful and rich; and our entrees (lamb chops & sea bass) were prepared to perfection. High, highly recommend everyone support this local business.
All of the food items were way overpriced. Couldn’t tell you how the food actually tastes. Went at dinner time, place was empty. Waitress wasn’t nice. We walked out and instead of asking what was wrong the server said, “Oh you’re leaving?” In a smug tone. We were probably going to pay their rent for the month. During a pandemic you’d think they’d be a little more friendly to attract more customers.
Incredible service, great food and atmosphere
After 20 mins a being there is when someone acknowledged me but overall the food was excellent and the place was cozy.
First, the waitress was beyond accommodating. Went out of her way to give my kid off menu items because she doesn’t like the fancy stuff. Everything was delicious and lovely. Very good for the area.
This is my favorite restaurant in Springfield
Was a double birthday dinner on Valentine’s Day. We had reservations. Usually really like this place and good food. However, calamari app came to table barely edible because it was overcooked and extremely spicy. They brought another after our complaint that was much better (both moderate spice level and tenderness). All six of us ordered dinner. From lobster to steak to tuna, none were worth the price. They were all okay, but nothing at all special. Very disheartened, and especially for our birthday, Valentine’s Day dinner.
Could not have had a better evening, everything was just perfect for a Happy Valentines Day! We will be back !
Lovely dinner and ambience. The owner came to the table to see if we enjoyed our dinner. Food was excellent. A great evening.
Waitress was awesome! Service was great. No complaints
I’ve dined here many times over the years and would have rated 4 to 5 prior to my last two visits. Something happened in the last 3 months. The service has been Applebee’s level and the food is just not the same. Even menu items they have had for a long time aren’t the same. I don’t know if they got a new chef or ?? Also, you no longer get a salad with your entree :(
Always such a pleasant ambiance and service. The prime rib and lobster were excellent, however my halibut could have used a little more seasoning.
Was in-town for business. Indigo was near my hotel. Sat at the bar, surprisingly no TV, but was not an issue. Was encouraged to see that there were regulars. Lamb was cooked well. Dinner was at 5pm, place was quiet, but I would not expect it to be noisy as soft music was playing to fill the background.
We had a small business dinner here after work the food, drinks, and service was absolutely amazing!
Haven't been here in 20 years, but it's as good as I remember! Great wine, great service, and the food was outstanding. Can't wait to come back!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We know that it is always cold, so we dress accordingly. Sometimes difficult to hear. Meals are usually very good. The bacon on the dates was a bit burned. The spinach salad was excellent as was the lamb. However, the special shrimp dinner was a bit spicy for a couple of us and we had issues later in the evening. We should have asked how spicy it was going to be. Waiter was excellent.
A top notch dining experience. I had a great NY strip medium well, while my companions had salmon, prime rib and the zesty General Tsu shrimp special. The ambiance was charming (lovecthe pooch paintings) service friendly and efficient and it was all terrific.
Applause many times over and we will be back- again!
Plesant experience. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive. Interesting Menu. Nice ambiance.
We are regulars at Indigo, and it was as perfect as ever. We are always made feel at home, like we are among friends. The Hot Dates and the Lamb are among our favorites and they did not disappoint.
Waitress (Nicki I believe) was exceptional. Food delicious.
Every year we spend Christmas Eve at Indigo for dinner...it is always so nice but this year was exceptional! So nice to relax and have a wonderful time.
Our waitress was not the level that we were used to. Spoke to manager and the rest of the evening was great. I think they were too busy and out of lots of selections. Maybe should have presented it differently.
