International Market originally opened in 1975, introducing generations of Nashvillians their first taste of Thai cuisine. Now across the street from the original location, Arnold and Anna Myint continue the family tradition by day and serve an evolved chef-curated menu by night. Inspired by their heritage and southern roots, International Market serves authentic Thai flavors by means of local and regionally sustainable purveyors.

International Market has earned the Thai Select Classic Award, a prestigious recognition from the Ministry of Commerce and Royal Thai Government, a first for Nashville. This award, akin to Michelin recognition, is prominent in major U.S. cities like Chicago and New York. Criteria include anonymous dining visits evaluating food authenticity, heritage, atmosphere, and hospitality. The restaurant upholds original owners Win and Patti Myint's culinary legacy, and showcases Chef Arnold's modern Thai cooking approach.

Probably the best meal I've had in Nashville--or just about anywhere--in years. And IMHO, it was by far the absolute best value in the context of the city's most esteemed, high-viz restaurants. I don't know why it took me so long to get to International Market. I guess we didn't want to haul over from East Nashville but it was so worth it. We were a mixed crowd of omnivores, vegetarians and vegans. Every single person found an array of amazing options to order and every single one of us left happy, satisfied, and basically swooning over every mouthful of the meal. Service was also so welcoming and unpretentious and Arnold even came out to say hi and to set a complimentary dish on the table. Highly recommend the pad brussels sprouts, which hit the perfect balance of savory and sweet, crispy and tender. The drunken noodle pad kee mao has now taken over the guilty soft spot I've long held for Pad Thai. What stole the show though was the Miang Khao Tod Lettuce Wrap. I'm still having visions of breaking up that gorgeous rice ball and spooning spoonfuls of that fragrant goody-flecked rice into the lettuce leaves and devouring each perfect bundle. And as someone who is no fan of vegan desserts, I can safely say that I will again order the outrageous banana-y coconutty split that our table shared, even when I return without my vegan friend. For sure, my return will be very very soon. Thank you International Market!!!

The pork shumai and the smoked duck khao soi were both amazing! Austin B (our server) did a great job helping us make delicious choices.

What a special experience. International Market is everything — the food is incredible, the atmosphere is vibrant, and our server Ben made the whole night feel effortless. He guided us through the menu perfectly and every single dish was a hit. If you haven't been, go. Highly recommend!

Great food! All four of us love our meal: pork shumai, chicken dumplings, Papp see eiw, Hattie thai fried chicken, carrot and cashew massaman, and waterfall smoked beef salad. Recommend it highly!

Went for my bday and it was great! We had 4 adults and 2 tweens. Everyone had great time and the food was amazing! Get the lettuce wraps and coconut cake!!
