Island Creek Oyster Bar - Boston
Seems to have fallen off a bit on execution. Food was poor- taste, quality, portions, etc.
Amazing ambiance. Fabulous oysters. Attentive bartender with great imaginative cocktails.
Great service and amazing food! The oysters and shrimp were so fresh!
Very very good. Awesome atmosphere very unique. Great professional staff from front to back. Great oysters. My monkfish was very good not outstanding. Lobster roll very good not outstanding.
Overall the food was good, but nothing surprising or amazing about any particular dish. The bouillabaisse has overcooked shrimp and scallops. They would be better served by cooking these separately and adding them immediately prior to serving.
Good food with very good oyster selection and very good wine selection.
Ordered the grilled salmon and it was by far the best I’ve had. Accompanied by an excellent white wine and chocolate mousse desert. Great atmosphere, great for date night, great staff. Will be seeing you soon again.
Michelle was outstanding!!!
Always tasty meal with attentive service. Fresh from the sea at its best!
Excellent experience overall - The food was delicious, the drinks were really well made and tasty and the service was awesome. We tried 6 different types of oysters from the raw bar - All were amazing. We went for my husband's birthday dinner and they gave us a menu customized with a happy birthday message and a complimentary dessert. Loved it!
Amazing oysters. Crab cakes were pretty good, but nothing special. Lobster arancatta was ok. My monkfish was cooked brilliantly, but the accompanying vegetables were not inspiring in concept. All food was very, very fresh.
The server was friendly, nice selection of seafood and non seafood option. Ordered lobster arancini and bronizi. Very fresh and flavorful, seasoned with nice amount of herbs.
They ran out of 2 items requested on the menu, unfortunately. But everything that was substituted was good
What an amazing place. The staff is top notch surpassed only by the food.
Service and food where amazing as always ! Bartenders where amazing!
New Year’s Eve! It was fantastic. The hostess people were a little off. But we got seats at the bar & the woman bar person was absolutely perfect. Had the best recommendations for wine & appetizers, oysters & lobster ceviche ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.. Our dinner & service was excellent. We will be repeat offenders.
Always a 5 star experience. Came here with friends on New Years Eve and we ordered everything. The Salmon tartare, oysters of course with delicious mignotte, buttermilk biscuit (a must), the chicken, Black Bass, and Fluke. All were fantastic and we were given a taste of sorbet to end the night. Service was great, vibe is great, and food is in line with this brand. Will of course return.
This restaurant made the dinner experience feel special without being stuffy. The service was impeccable but also friendly and warm. And the food was soooo good. I highly recommend the Lobster Roe Noodles (their signature dish).
From the HORRENDOUS waitress to the average bland not hot food. Honestly have no idea what all the hype is about
The food are good and services are quiet nice too.
Highly recommend!!!! Some of the best oysters I've ever had!! If you couple the quality of food with the neat ambiance and phenomenal service - a must try (or must repeat!!). You won't be disappointed.
First-rate dining experience.
We arrived for a late lunch at a slow time. Ordered cocktails and the food came before our drinks. Super fast, soles of a dining experience to savor and enjoy. Lobster roll was very good
Best restaurant in Boston.
Very nice experience. Oysters were really nice! And food was as well. Very nice atmosphere, not noisy and great service. Would definitely recommend
Island Creek never ever disappoints. The food is always perfectly crafted and the staff are always smiling and engaging. Absolutely love!
A dozen of our favorite oysters (Aunt Dotty’s) and some champagne made for a delightful Christmas Eve celebration. The oyster sliders were also delicious.
I love this restaurant.. everything is good and fresh and the service is always top notch. Lobster roe noodles are my go to.
The staff at Island Creek went above and beyond for this special birthday dinner. A warm greeting and a nice corner high top we’re appreciated. Then unexpected glasses of champagne for the occasion. Service was attentive, the food was perfect. At the end, a birthday plate with some sweets and a candle- yet another surprise. We will be back. Thank you, Island Creek!
Brunch at ICOB remains a worthwhile splurge. They've discovered caviar, you can add a gram to an oyster (or anything) for $3. The smoked salmon tartine was a nice, light addition to the brunch menu. The biscuit is a decadent indulgence. The wine selection has always been quirky and interesting - this time I greatly enjoyed a sparkling Grüner Veltliner, sekt, from Szigeti.
Great food and people and atmosphere
Had another great meal, nice wine list and seafood was always perfect. I always visit this restaurant when I’m traveling to Boston . Highly recommend this place.
great raw bar, great service. We had a very good experience overall. We waited a long time for our res, but worth it.
Excellence in oysters and seafood in a great ambiance.
It was not noisy at all, it was great to have a conversation!
We had the worst experience ever. Our waiter was terrible. When we ordered the chicken he immediately said “Are you aware it could take 35 minutes?” We ordered anyway and it came out in 10. He seemed odd the whole time and his attitude was bad. He overcharged us for a meal he told us they ran out of and when we brought to his attention he didn’t recall them running out of the dish and offered no apology or anything. He kept forgetting items we asked for and then was gone for a very long time after giving us dessert menus. We had planned to order dessert but as 20 minutes passed by before he came back, we just asked for the bill and that’s when we saw the overcharge.
Shellfish was Very Fresh I think that U should make People aware of the High Top Tables! Some People Can’t sit at those Types of Tables. I Had to Wait 25 Minutes past my Reservation to sit at a Ground Level Table! I will be Back the Raw Bar was as Good as Any Place I’ve Been That Includes Maine, The Cape, and Cape May !
As always we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Island Creek Oyster. Our favorite seats are at the end of the bar where we meet amazing bartenders. Believe it or not we find that seating a little less hectic than the tables.
We did not order entrees this time and chose to sample several appetizers, Oyster Bao Buns, Mussels, Oysters and more. The freshest fish in Boston.
Many thank yous to the management, I hated the
Keep moving my dinner reservation but in the end they were accommodative, the rest was simple the food and raw bar were amazing dessert was an equivalent to banana foster loooooooved it!!
