Really good KC smoked and wood fired meats. Had a shared combo with ribs, burnt end, wings and sausage. All of it was delicious

This is our go-to BBQ when we visit KC! Reservations HIGHLY recommended cause it[s that good! Jalapeño cornbread and burnt ends! YES please!

Large open seating area but was quiet enough for conversation. Food was very good and so was the service. Seems more costly than BBQ should be.

We very much appreciated being able to eat outdoors and have a high chair added at the last minute. Our server was polite and able to answer our questions. I tasted the trout and salmon with blackberry sauce. They were both excellent. I went for bbq’d meat so ordered brisket and turkey. I was disappointed that the meat didn’t taste like it was bbb’d. The sauce was good but there was only one kind. The sandwich bun was white. For a nice restaurant I expect at least an option of a whole grain bread or roll. White is so blah. The fries were good but nothing special. The beer choices were disappointing. Vanilla porter was the only dark beer. Guinness doesn’t count. So, I’ll try new places before returning.

The service from the waitress was good. However the food was cold when it got our table.

We absolutely loved Jack Stack and so wish we had one closer to Wichita, KS to enjoy more often:)

From the moment we sat, it was a great experience. Our server, Coffee, was informative, funny, and fantastic at taking care of us. Made suggestions that we took and were spot on. Best BBQ I’ve ever had. A great time by all and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Our waiter, John, did a great job sharing the history of the restaurant and showed a lot of pride in his work. This was our first time to go here. The food was exceptional and the service was very attentive. We had a family meal to share that included ribs, sausage, burnt ends, wings, cole slaw and beans. We started with the salmon dip. Everything was delicious.

4 female friends gathered at the Freighthouse Jack Stack for early Sunday dinner in mid-March. We were celebrating birthdays, a new job / moving away, and that it had been 12 months since our last meal together. One friend had been given JS gift cards and bought dinner for all of us. We were very comfortable eating inside and had a wonderful server. Everyone loved their meals. We enjoyed lamb ribs, beef burnt ends, pulled pork, cheesy corn, beans, coleslaw, and other items. We all have eaten at various Jack Stack locations but chose the Freight House location because of its convenient parking and we came from east, north, and southwest parts of the KC metro.

It was my mother’s birthday and the ambiance was great. I wished there had been availability to book more than 6 guests because I needed room for 9. Also, they ran out of chicken and cheesy potato bake and we all were really looking forward to having those items from the menu. Other than that, the service was great!

Very good bbq, great service, if I am back in Kansas City again I will go back.

Waitress was fantastic, food was really good, adult beverages were good. Family from out of town who came with us for first time at JS really enjoyed everything.

We came in about 3:30 ish and it was wonderful! Not too crowded and quiet. The food was phenomenal!
