I had an awesome experience! The food was amazing! The servers were fantastic and knowledgeable.

This is always a must-go when in KC. Good food and our server was awesome!

Restaurant week special for lunch was a very healthy portion, excellent tasting and wonderful service.

We had a group and with COVID it’s tough to find a place. They safely accommodated our group in a heated tent outside. This place came highly recommended by a local I know. We are from Minnesota so we didn’t really know where to go. We stayed at the Westin so it was all skyway to their parking lot. The wait staff was incredible. The barbecue was the best I’ve ever had. I don’t ever write reviews but they really earned it.

The food was all cold except for the ribs. This was my second time going to a jack stack and i was very disappointed this time around.

Severver was friendly and helpful. Our appetizer came out quick. Mac and cheese pulled pork was wonderful. Soon after that our entries came out. It was a sampler platter of smoked meats served with cheesy corn and baked beans. The meats were wonderful and the sides were amazing. It came with a brownie and ice cream which we got to go becasue we were stuffed. A very good dinner indeed

One of the best bbq joints in KC!! GET THE ONION RINGS!!! AND THE CARROT CAKE!!!!!!!

Went on a Wednesday early evening. Food was very good all around (one of KC's premiere barbecue restaurants if a tad pricey). Went totally outside the box and had the shrimp in BBQ sauce it was outstanding accompanied by broccoli in cheese which was adequate. The one glaring sub to par issue was the very SLOW service which could be due to current limited seating but still was pretty excessive especially ordering our entrees. Nothing indicated not returning any time soon but hope for better once the virus situation (hopefully) recedes.

My son and I enjoyed the Restaurant Week offerings amd added the jalapeño cornbread - a must!! Food was plentiful for the price! Service WAS GREAT! Tables were spaced appropriately for Covid recommendations and we enjoyed a great evening before he headed back to school!

Took part in the Restaurant Week Menu. Great food and service. Only negative was they ran out of the chocolate dessert - (I don’t like carrot cake) but my husband does and he thought it was excellent.

We made a reservation since it was the beginning of restaurant week. After checking in they forgot about us and continued to seat other people without reservations. When we were seated we ended up, the two of us, at a table for six. Everything after that was great.

I am from Minnesota and have not been here for 6 years. The food was still as great as then. My wife even had me bring "To Go" food back. She was in heaven! It is hard to find BBQ this good.

Arrived for a reservation and was told they would not seat us for 20 min, however they were able to in 5, without me saying anything. BBQ was good, not the best I have had but pretty solid; beans were very good and Baker was same. Service was top notch!

Jack Stack is consistently good. This time, a couple people had their pulled pork sandwiches and the pork was not shredded very well. There were some large pieces that had to be cut and then put back in the bun.

Jack Stack is always good but on Saturday night is was perfection. From the app to the dessert it was over the top delicious! We got baby back ribs and all the sides and a friend ordered salmon with broccoli and it was also amazing. I wouldn't even consider ordering salmon at a bbq place but I sure will now! Go people, go!

We are big fans of JS and have been going to their restaurants for years. The Freight House location is our favorite. The historic surroundings with the high ceilings are great.

This restaurant was a nice place to have our family Christmas dinner. The staff was very nice and the food was great.

Wonderful lunch at Jack Stack Freight House location for Christmas Eve. Reservation worked great and table ready when we arrived 5 minutes early. Waiter was helpful and courteous and the food excellent as always. During COVID the restaurant followed all social distancing protocols which we appreciated.

IMHO they do a pretty decent job of social distancing while maintaining their high standards of BBQ wonderful-ness. We always stop by a Jacks Stack location when we get to KC area. The Freight House on a weekday wasn’t overcrowded and our beef burnt ends were everything we expect- crisp on the outside and fine beef inside.

I asked to be seated away from bathroom or kitchen. Was seated next to bathroom and waiter's station. Asked for a beer and did not get it. Waited about half an hour for our food. They were out of the dish that I wanted to get. Underwhelmed by the dish I did get for the price charged for it.
