Javier's - Century City
food was amaaaazing! however it was a party of 2 and we asked got sat in a small table on the side ... we knew we were going to order A LOT of different plates .. and asked to be moved to a bigger table .. we were told no because all other tables were reserved for bigger parties.. which is understandable .. however we saw PLENTY of bigger tables that had ONLY 2 people. got quite a bit is sass from the lady who we asked to move us . it was uncomfortable having no room for our dishes. we are nurses and we’re in our scrubs. and one of the workers already made us feel uncomfortable because we accidentally bumped into them as other people were passing and right away they took out their sanitizer ... i get it we are nurses. but we weren’t dirty. and us being sat on a side table and not being able to move to something bigger .. we felt uncomfortable.. again food was amazing. howe ever we won’t return.
Great atmosphere and terrific chips. Food not quite as good as in the past
The service was good but you could barely hear the witness over all the loud talking and music..but over all it was nice experience
Pretty alright place, but we aren't rushing back after the dinner we had. Everything on the menu is super spicy, after our first 2 courses I really couldn't taste much of the food with my mouth on fire. The margaritas I ordered was extremely spicy although it was suppose to be a Pina Margarita and the menu didn't say it was spicy. The drink was also way way too strong to drink. It tasted like I was drinking straight lighter fluid. The tequila was either very low quality or the drink was made incorrectly.
Not the best experience, we left very disappointed. The staff was really nice though!
We dined here for my girlfriend’s birthday. Food was amazing. Our server Sage was such a delight. He was attentive and so friendly - we would come back just for him! Five stars for a great night and dining experience!
Dining experience was wonderful! This was my first time dining out since the Pandemic started and the experience was great. The waitress was very attentive and made menu and drink suggestions. All of the staff participated in wearing the proper PPE. Signs were posted to remind patrons to wear ppe when not eating or drinking. The food and drinks came out in a timely manner. They food and drinks were excellent and the ambience was beautiful. Date night was a success. Most definitely will recommend and return.
Our Experience was generally good.
Margaritas were great! The food isn't bad, but a little overpriced for what it is. The outdoor area where you check in is crazy crowded and felt unsafe. Our hostess allowed us to choose between a few tables in the back of the restaurant away from most people, which was nice. It's just way too crowded at the front of the restaurant and on that front patio area - which made us feel very uncomfortable (so much so that we almost left). I appreciate that all menus are done via scan of QR code so that you don't have to touch any menus. Our waiters were great although we did notice one waiter grabbing straws and putting them in drinks without gloves on. I don't think we will come back for a bit just because it seemed a bit too crowded for our comfortability.
Javier’s is always a great experience , be weary of the loud music though. Otherwise is as expected to be + more fun!
The manager has the worst customer service I’ve ever had in my life I asked simply to move my table because it was cold and the table had no personal space seems like they just put it in the middle of nowhere no manager never came so I went to look he was so rude just asked to put the mask on please and never came back sent the black girl to move us for 30 minutes no help no acknowledgement or anything has to asked to be helped then got cold food had to ask for something to drink and for the bill this was th worst will not return EVERR
It was my 7 th year marriage anniversary. We was suppose to be happy but it was awful service and my husband was disappointed in the service and the table section
Took a long time for waiter to acknowledge us and put in order for at least drinks.
We loved the food and service. It was just a little too loud for us this time.
I loved the food, the atmosphere is great. Very clean. It can be flashy for some people. The prices are worth the flavor. The staff was decent.
Not worth it , food was mediocre and the service was bad , the waiter rarely came by our table and he had an attitude
Oscar Valentín was an amazing waiter!!! He was very personable & service-based. It was my first time at Javier’s, and couldn’t be more impressed by Oscar’s service and professionalism!
First time for our anniversary dinner and LOVED...def would recommend
Delicious food and excellent customer service
This was my first time visiting the Century City location. I've been to a couple other Javier's locations on several occasions and the service was exceptional. As such, I was expecting the same from this location but they were very lacking.
Although we had reservations, we still had to wait and after we were finally seated, it was quite a while before our waiter came. After taking our drink order, he disappeared for what seemed like forever which was a recurring thing of the night. He never checked on us and when we would finally get his attention to come to our table, he would start to walk away before we could even finish our request.
It was extremely loud in the restaurant that evening, but we tried to make the most of our night as we were celebrating birthdays, but when I received my plate with a long strand of hair, I was so over everything. Of course I never saw our waiter, so I flagged down a manager. Instead of being apologetic, he tells me that everyone in the kitchen wears hair nets and there's no way that hair could've gotten in my food. The way he spoke to me made me feel as if he felt that I placed the hair in my food. I have curly hair and the hair in my food was a long, fine strand. We were seated right by the kitchen, so I saw everyone going in and out including hostesses with long, fine hair.
They took my food back and I had to wait over 20 minutes for a new plate, and by that time, everyone in my party was done eating. To make matters worse, they didn't even offer to comp my meal or at least discount my meal. I could have argued for that, but I was ready to go, so we paid and left.
I love Javier's, but that was my first and last time visiting the Century City location.
This is our first time to the Century City location, having eaten at the Newport Beach location previously. We love Javier's. It is terrific upscale Mexican cuisine. My only complaint is that inside the restaurant the music was too loud for my 6 year old; however, the staff gladly moved us to an outside table where we enjoyed a fabulous meal and evening.
Service and food were impeccable as usual. Just concerned that temperatures were not taken before entering. The table we sat at was close to the booths and there was no plexiglass. We sat inside and I was surprised at the amount of people allowed indoors. The booths along Santa Monica are fine since they have open air, but probably not safe for those who sat further away from Santa Monica.
Food so delicious! Was served pretty fast. Definitely coming back.
Amazing service! Fantastic atmosphere. Will definitely be returning again
The food was great but the service was terrible.
Very tasty, well appointed, and cheerful surroundings. Great choices, delightful service, full bar, and teriffic, non traditional options.
We went to celebrate our anniversary recently and had a reservation. Upon arrival, there was a check in line that moved pretty smoothly. We were seated promptly but it was quite a small table in a walkway. I asked to be seated elsewhere and was told immediately that there was nothing else available. She said booths were reserved for large parties, even though I saw three booths in the vicinity that had parties of two seated. She didn’t go check or anything just instant shutdown. Every time we come here, we order La Tablita which is a huge platter that takes up a considerable amount of space. We asked the waitress if we could move and she said she would check. Someone came to the table and asked if we had a reservation and we did. They said they would check but ultimately we were told all the tables were spoken for even with a booth directly beside our little table empty. Not a great start but we were determined to enjoy the evening. We ordered our food and drinks. Over half an hour went by of empty booths before our food arrived and took up the entire table top. They had to give us appetizer plates due to the lack of space. There was nowhere to put our drinks or even a phone. The food and drinks were great as usual but the experience left something to be desired. The experience is typically better at the Irvine location but they don’t usually do reservations.
Food took 52 minutes after we ordered...server did explain add ons can go up to 20 dollars. They went to go get tortilla chips and forgot to bring it back. We waited 20 min for someone to come over again.
This was my first time going to Javier's, and I will be going back!
Great ambiance and tasty food. Definitely will be back.
Love this restaurant everything was amazing will definitely go again!
We were seated on time. The food was great, cocktails were awesome and dessert was delicious!!! It was a great date night.
Great food and service. Very much a VEGAS crowd and vibe.
Absolutely love this restaurant. It’s my new favorite spot!
To begin, the check-in experience was seem less, smooth, quick, and easy. My reservation was for 5:30 pm, and I was at my table by 5:35 pm with chips, salsa, and guacamole.
The service was exceptional. Our waiter made sure we had enough time to look over the menu, but ensured to check-in to make sure we did not have questions. Once our orders for both drinks and food were placed - the wait was very minimal.
Now to the food! It was delicious. Every bite was perfect. We had the enchilada trio and the seafood pasta. Both highly recommended!
Atmosphere was spectacular. Very chic yet yet traditional. The music was great - if you know a few Latino classic hits you’ll love their music remix’s’.
Always great food & drinks. Good atmosphere for a day or night out with friends. Tables are spread out and all safety measures are in place.
It was lovely.
Love here , food is good. Great vibe . Plays music as well
It was amazing like usual!
Ambience was nice! We ordered a few plates to share. We got the chicken fajitas which were very flavorful and delicious but we also got the shrimp fajitas which were a little cold and flavorless, wouldn’t order the shrimp fajitas again especially for the prices. We also got the trio of enchiladas, I wouldn’t say they were the best I’ve had but they were ok. I would still come back but I would try different dishes.
