Jimmy's On The Mall

Was disappointed as went for my 50th and they would only cut my cake if we paid $3:50 / head . I thought service and value wise that was not good as I had also called in the night before to confirm our booking and said it was my birthday without being told about the per head cost and we spent a considerable amount with 6 guests . The food was lovely but not above expectation for the price.

Always love going to Jimmy’s on the Mall.....lovely food, friendly staff, great service.

We have been eating at Jimmy’s coming up to 11 years. Of the 15 plus times we have had Moreton bay bugs, whether chargrilled or chili the experience has been amazing. The last two times have been very disappointing! We persevered on Friday night thinking the last time was an off night. Even worse this time round. Salad and chips fine, one bug with no meat, prawns tiny and no scallops! Quality and quantity of seafood really disappointing.
Jimmy’s has always been our go to eatery when in Brisbane.
We will now look elsewhere in the future. Ambience and service still great with value not what it always was.
Shame when icons falter.

Great location, food was good but not quite happy with service. We had to ask for everything, from the drinks menu, the food menu and even ask to order !!! I thought it was standard to offer guests menus as soon as they are seated? We were booked for 6:30 didn’t get to order till just before 8!!

WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR NIGHT OUT AT JIMMYS. THE FOOD WAS GOOD AND THE SERVICE FRIENDLY AND TIMELY. WE WILL DINE THERE AGAIN

Ideal quick lunch meeting place of your need something nice and don’t want t hurt your pocket.

A great atmosphere in a clean and friendly club/bar vibe. I was very happy to mark a significant celebration there thank you.

Overwhelmed by how outstanding the customer service was from the Duty Manager. Thank you so much for accommodating for us and more, I highly recommend Jimmy’s on the mall purely because of the duty manager who handled our event extremely well. Everyone was extremely pleased throughout the time we were there. I highly applaud and commend the DM.

This is the fourth time we’ve eaten here and have never been disappointed. Great value, nice open air ambiance and good service!

Fantastic Staff and Food. Have holidayed nearby for the past week and have been at least twice a day. Love it. Back home in Ipswich now, but going back for Breakfast on Saturday.

Disappointing Christmas day brunch booking. Staff were pleasant and efficient, but food came out stone cold.
The worst part of the service though is that we wanted to update the number of people on our booking, but Jimmys staff never answers the phone, regardless of when you phone, and OpenTable won't let you modify the number of people on the booking despite supposedly giving you that option.

Went for breakfast on Christmas morning. Service was fast and food was great. Thanks for a great start to Christmas Day.

It was hard to waitress attention to make the order. I think needed more staff.

Very disappointing that you ran completely out of tequila. I can’t function without a margarita at Christmas. Our area was fine in the bar, but service was very poor in the dining area. You lost at least 5-6 customers who walked out before being served. They were kept waiting for far too long and I would have walked out too. I love your restaurant so much, I just want to give this feedback so that you can improve. Thanks

Disappointing experience at Jimmy’s. We were seated and then abandoned. After 25 minutes without any service, we had to leave the restaurant and go eat elsewhere. What was really disappointing was that there was a staff member pacing back and forth next to our table, setting up reservations for later in the night. We tried to get his attention but he studiously ignored us. Whilst it’s great he was preparing for future customers it is a shame there wasn’t some focus on the current customers as they lost our business and we won’t be returning.

Thank you so much to the staff member who looked after me when I was unwell at Jimmy's last week. On top of how accommodating the staff were after I had made a mistake with my booking. Outstanding service!

Food took 30 minutes to arrive. we ordered lemonade, when it arrived it was flat and tasted of flavoured water. I asked for it to be done again - it was without question, but not much better.
Food was OK - but nothing special as in previous visits.
Downstairs was very smokey and smelt of the kitchen - quite unpleasant.
we had dirty dishes on our table for 5 mins, they were eventually cleared, but the table wasn't wiped down.

Had lovely dinner - never disappointed with the food or the location

I booked ahead due to COVID but there was plenty of room for walk-in diners. The food arrived quickly although the vinaigrette was missing from my friend's meal. This was quickly rectified.
Jimmy's is well placed in the middle of Queen Street Mall and makes a good venue for an inexpensive meal in the CBD.

This restaurant is suffering from COVID-19 - the usual ambience and food is just not where it usually is. Understandably.

The food was cooked well, delivered quickly & we’ll presented, but was flavourless.

Service was impeccable by the staff, cannot be faulted.

The ambience that you usually associate with this venue is simply absent.

I would like to see this restaurant bCk to thriving as it was prior to COVID, hopefully soon.

My experience is not what I would usually expect from this venue during regular times.

Regardless, give them a go.

The waitstaff couldn't explain the type of bread being used for sandwich.
The fillings for the sandwich was quite small and cold, lack of dressing and seasoning. I would say sandwich from convenience stores would be better than the one I had at Jimmy's On The Mall.

Went for a girls night out had a lovely time food was vedy good and service very good. Will go again.

We went on a Sunday night and it was pretty quiet. My son liked the beef ribs but the viet salad i had was nothing special. Not worth the $20+ i paid for.

Good location for a catch up, service from bar staff was quick. Limited tables available upstairs in peak hour so be sure to book a table, or get there early.

We really enjoy eating here & even with our 6 year-old noisy grandson. Staff really nice & friendly, food good & prompt. Only off-putting thing is occasional flies but unavoidable due to open sides.
We will keep coming.

We reserved a specific table - and this was double checked in person - however when we got there we were given another table - very disappointed :-(

Manager advised us that we could not order our last drinks as we had more than the government aloud on Xmas day? I had 3 beers and half a bottle of wine , hardly a lot given we were advised it was ok to turn up at 14:30 and to sit down for dinner at 4pm, which we did. They advised us incorrectly on the 3 hour window law but did not accept that they were in the wrong on the original advice of turning up at 14:30, word of advice, Don’t go for dinner in Queensland on Xmas Day as you will have 3 hours to enjoy yourself. Stupid government rules which need changing

Delicious food and servings were large but alcohol was a bit expensive compared to other restaurants. The location meant it was a little noisy but it was just before Christmas and the Queen Street mall was very busy so that is understandable and it added to the celebratory feel of our party.

We dined on one of the hottest days in Brisbane in December 2019 and it was super hot in the restaurant. My guest and I enjoyed the café style food and given the heat the staff were delightful. Nothing was too much trouble.

Good atmosphere and staff were lovely. But the food was way overpriced for what it was and how it tasted. The wine came out of a fridge but was nearly warm by the time it hit the table. Better food and cold wine would justify the price a little more.

Okay for a catch up but I think it is ridiculous that we were not aware until we got there that they do not split the bill and we all had to run off and find ATM machines... who carries cash these days... not everyone does

Would’ve liked a staff member greet us straight away and ask about whether we had reservation. Instead I had to seek out a staff member and tell them, whilst my family awkwardly stood in the way of the staff and other guests as we didn’t know where to go
