Everything was Excellent, the only think was for me is the my food was to salty and I did not like it.

Our experience with JJ Astor was amazing! It was a wonderful view and the food was delicious! Tony was our server, and he did a fabulous job. He was friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be coming back here in the future!

This is one of my favorite places to go in Duluth. Just the fact that the entire outer ring of the restaurant slowly revolves around the top of the hotel, and has a spectacular view of both the city and the harbor, is really fun. The food is excellent, the drinks are terrific, and the service is, too. Very enjoyable evening, and they have done a great job spacing the tables out for safe distancing. Highly recommended.

Service was great. They charge 32 dollars for a Tbone steak that you can get at other restaurants for a better price and also a thicker steak. The should have been at least an inch thick. But the flavor of the steak was good. I had better long island ice teas at other restaurants.

The evening was delightful. The candle-lit tables were a perfect romantic setting and the food was delicious.

Breakfast was unremarkable. Good, but uninspired—disappointing for what I’ve come to expect from this restaurant AND for Valentines Day. Except for the view, it was comparable to eating at a good national breakfast chain, but with a limited menu. Had a been a visitor to Duluth and staying at the Radisson (and have been able to get seated), I would have thought it was fabulous on-site. As a Duluth holiday destination, not so much.

We went for Brunch on Valentine's Day. It was peaceful and relaxing. The food was good but I can't say there was anything Exciting about the menu, still good!! Great cocktail choices (If that's your thing) great sunny morning view and exceptionally friendly staff.

The food was okay, but not great for the price you paid. The restaurant itself is very nice and pretty. We had water with the meal and all 3 glasses had dried on food on the inside of the glass or something floating in the glass. We did room service for Valentine’s Day night and the risotto was overly seasoned and not very good. The appetizers were very small especially considering what we paid.

Solid date night place to eat. Good portion sizes but food wasn’t anything to write home about. Wasn’t wowed by anything but it was good. You pay for the ambiance and view for sure.

Great service and menu. Steaks and prime rib were ok - not great.

I am a gluten free by necessity diner and I found it easy on the normal menu to order so I booked for Valentine’s ....I had literally one choice since I couldn’t order off the normal menu .

The view was incredible! My Prime Rib was the worst I've ever experienced! I can't believe it was on the menu. MHO

We enjoyed the view at this restaurant however, there was a set menu in place for the holiday (Valentine's Day) and it seemed like the food had been pre cooked and for the price that was disappointing. The waiter was very pleasant however.

We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, the views were amazing and the servers were top notch.

Love, love, love the food! Awesome service. I would highly recommend JJ Astor to anyone looking to have an intimate, romantic dining experience. The food is unique, and so very delicious. It is nice to eat something that I cannot make at home, yet is so very delectable.

Our server Tony made the evening for us. But, the view and the meal was pretty darn good as well. We appreciate a good experience especially in these trying times and are happy that the restaurants are able to open safely again. Thanks, Tony for a great evening!

My main problem was with the food. For the price it was not worth it. The Filet Mignon was not tender at all, even though I ordered medium rare. It was cooked right, but was super tough, and cold to the touch. The compound butter served on top of the steak was ice cold and not melting at all. If I had to guess, the beef they serve is the lowest grade. In addition, the seasonal veg was served cooked, but cold to the touch, as well as being mostly carrots and very little of the other components. The "wild rice" pilaf was warm, but was more white rice than wild rice, as well as the wild rice portion being undercooked. Lastly, the plating was positively sloppy. I was basically given a messy pile of food all mixed together that was not visually pleasing in any way. The green color of the broccoli and brussels was muted instead of vibrant, and were concealed by the mass of orange from the carrots. The rice was barely visible under the veg and steak.
The drinks were expensive, which is not unusual, but are not exactly thirst quenching, as the portions were small and had very little booze.
When we were seated, no one brought us any flatware at all, and only 2 B&B plates, when there were 3 of us eating. We asked for flatware and were brought only 2 rolls of it, so we had to again point out there were 3 of us eating.
The only good things I can say about this place are that the staff was friendly, and the restaurant rotates, providing a 360 view of the city, which is super cool. Cool models of ships and old pictures of historical stuff all around too, which was a great ambiance.

Wonderful experience in all aspects!

Had a reservation, but no one bothered to tell us they were closed until I called the hotel the day of our dinner. OpenTable even auto-verified with me that I was coming. SOMEONE should have contacted me with the fact that it was closed - OpenTable had my contact info, and JJ Astor had theirs - I was on vacation, but always had my phone. I have had good experiences with both companies, but this was disappointing.

Great view and excellent service. Perfect spot for our celebratory dinner.

We were disappointed that they only serve breakfast all day. We specifically came for lunch at noon, but they informed us dinner wouldn't be served until 5pm. We had just ate breakfast prior to arrival. One drink cost us $20 which is outrageous.

Did not care to listen to jazz the whole time we were there. Maybe mix it up a little.

The experience of a rotating restaurant was exciting. The staff was friendly, food was ok, I'd say it was a little overpriced though. I asked to be seated close to the window but got a table that was pulled away from window but we could still see out. Should have gotten a booth because they are closer to window.

Had an awesome meal, great service Tony went above and beyond having been in service for over 30 years he clearly loves his customers he makes you feel special. We will certainly be back and I must mention the view of lake Superior was delightful and relaxing !

The view at JJAstor is amazing! We had a great server. The food is very good and there are quite a few choices. The drinks were good, as well. It's a little expensive, but the atmosphere makes it worth your money.
