Joe's Henley Beach

Very Disappointing, breakfast for 3 with tea $85, eggs. hash browns and toast overcooked, had to ask for butter and salt and pepper, and toast beneath avocado soggy. Tables too small for three or four people and no enquiry from staff when plates returned half eaten.

Great place for a casual catch-up with friends.

This was our first time at Joey’s and won’t be our last.
We thought it was a great spot to eat, enjoy a chat and take in the beach views.
The staff were really friendly and helpful.
They have a good menu which is really well priced and had a very nice Rosé.

Love this place! I booked a table for two for brunch, and we were placed right next to the window with a very pleasant view of the beach. The open windows allowed the ocean breeze to come in, which really added to the ambiance. The food was amazing. This is the only place in Australia I know of that serves some form of meat with a sweet dish (I had the French toast, which comes with bacon sandwiched in between the bread). As a Yank, I appreciated that immensely. The only criticism I can give is that the coffees came out after the food had been on the table for a while, but honestly that didn't bother me much. This place is officially my favourite brunch venue in Adelaide!

Very boisterous atmosphere within the dining area - at times it was difficult to hear. Service was reasonable. Breakfast was good and generous ie value for money.
Scenery excellent. Defiantly will be frequenting more often.

The VIEW. Sky, beach, jetty, waves, people and sound when windows are open or you are outside. The SERVICE. Fast, friendly, professional, chatty and witty. The FOOD. Good choices, good food. GOOD TIMES.

Be helpful if someone answered either their phone or fb messenger for basic questions. ;)

I love this cafe, perfect location and a good menu with veg and vegan options. Have been there twice recently, all the staff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Had the same meal both times but second time asked for a half serve but when it came out it was missing two key elements. It was still delicious but I was looking for consistency. I’ll definitely be back, there’s no better location around Henley and Grange. Thanks.

Although I had a table booked, we had to wait in a long line before we were seated. Understand that with Covid, things are a bit crazy, but there should be a way of having guests seated at reserved tables without waiting in a long line. The music was way too loud, could hardly hear my friend across a small table for 2. Food was great, views are terrific...staff friendly.

I met a friend for brunch & was disappointed that there was not muesli or fruit on the menu. Once seated I wasn’t asked whether I would like a coffee & didn’t receive a menu. The staff were friendly but I think the constant duff duff music destroyed the ambience of sitting by the ocean. I think there’s a risk that in trying to be funky Joe’s may lose the locals that it will be so dependent on in winter.

I found Joes to be a great spot. I think it could be more efficient, with the restaurant/booked table area having a server who takes the orders. I felt ackward stamding at counter ordering a meal while there were people ordering ice celreams for their kids

We loved our meal with you, the food was delicious and the staff friendly. It was rather noisy when we arrived but by the time we'd had our meal it had quietened down quite a bit. It's a lovely spot to visit and I'd recommended it to every one.

Lovely beachside dining with great food. Unfortunately the music played was offensive and very loud and did not suit the beachside environment. Staff were great and food came out quickly!

Coffee is fabulous and relish served with the bacon and eggs makes a simple meal delicious!

Joe's gets busy. You need to book. And covid means only tables of 4 inside.
For lunch, it can't be beaten. Best fish and chips

Despite the fact that the staff were getting slammed with orders. The crew working on Nov 7th from 6:30-8pm gave impeccable service despite the order load they were managing. I was looking after very well good quality service, food and drinks.

Booked for 1pm on Monday. My friends came from the other side of town as I had told them how beautiful the cafe and view is. We ordered juice. They had run out of juice... so we ordered coffee. The coffee machine broke down apparently... so we ordered milkshakes (none of us like milkshakes but it's all that was left..) they ran out of milk... this is not a joke. This actually happened! They gave our money back at least and we had soy milkshakes... I was so embarrassed because I'd told my friends it was wonderful there...
2 Sunday afternoons ago they had run out of milk again when I went with my sister for a coffee. Sorry this is really poor management of stock levels. Really disappointing. The staff member was very nice though. She dealt with it very well.

Great spot and service just very unfortunate that they were out of stock of many things on the menu for the start of a week after a special event on Sunday. Lunch menu is great for a quick feed.

I ate a salad it was to oily for me and the music was very loud i could not hear what my friend said.
Very good location tho right next to the beach.

Outstanding view but food was ok. I had the soft shell crab burger, too many pickles.

Lovely location, setting and decor. Young girl serving had zero personality, manners or service hospitality. All other staff seemed cool. Food was good, got the French toast, thought it was a bit soggy and lacked berries. Coffee sat for too long so was delivered very luke warm and appearance of milk bubbly and deflated. Would try again.

It took a while for anyone to attend to us but the guy that did was friendly. When I went to order the young girl at the counter didn’t make eye contact at all and didn’t speak. She was the same when she delivered our food and later when she retrieved our finished plates. We watched her with other diners and she was the same. It’s very easy to smile and acknowledge when you are spoken to. Apart from her the food was good and the cafe itself was pleasant.

Overall a good experience. Staff did not offer table water and not very friendly and music was a bit loud for breakfast time

Staff were great but we waited just under an hour for the food to arrive at our table. Apart from this and the noise level, it was good. Beers and cocktails available, but no wine. I’ll still be back hopefully when it’s not so manic
