Food and service were awesome

The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! A little pricey though, especially the bottles of wine.

Good food, good service.

When we got there we told the hostess that we had a reservation and they’re ready very confused and didn’t really care and we waited 10 minutes past our time. A family came up and said they were a walk in and got seated right away, finally we got seated and our server was nice but she really only did the bare minimum.

Awesome service. Waiter went above and beyond to make our Lunch a Fantastic experience.

Amazing service! From the minute we got into the restaurant until we left. Everyone was so friendly and bubbly! It was a great experience!

Staff seems like they didn't care at all. We had to wait with empty glasses every time and call or flag down our waitress, Never offered water, never refilled water after we asked for it. It was a birthday dinner and the birthday girl was upset because we were ignored. I dint want to embarrass my party so I tipped well, but she did not deserve $85 bucks or even half of that. It took fifteen minutes to get offered a drink.. not even water... until we asked.. Food was good but the entres took over an hour after ordering. We should have been offered something to eat if there was a delay. The birthday girl was like "OMG I'm so hungry whats taking to long". Thats NOT what you want to happen at a birthday celebration... Oh and when we left, the elevator was not prorgammed to go to P2 so we had to run around for 15 minutes trying to find a way down, then went back to the restaurant and the girl told us...ya, I't doesnt go to P2..Whaaaat Why not? We dont know why? ??? No manager in site at all...all night - Poor I like the venue, I like the food, I like the atmosphere, but with that service i cant see myself going back. You should send me a gift cert so i can see if its always like that or not

A Cactus and Earls fan decided to try Joey’s in Burnaby.
Arrived to a dark dingy environment. Bathroom needed grooming and toilet paper.

Happy hour only serves 6 oz choice of wine served in a glass smelling of cleaner.

Prices for example are around $3 more than Cactus.

Won’t be rushing back unfortunately.

Server was great and they provided the first round of drinks on the house due to our experience.

We reserved a table and had ecellent service from start to finish. Staff were excellent at safety protocols.

I had a private business meeting scheduled for lunch at Joeys Burnaby and requested a quiet table. My request was granted and setting was excellent. Service was excellent, as was the food. Highly recommended.

the server kept forgetting our drinks, ordered prawn skewers on the side which we never got...
it was hard to get ahold of the servers.

Average food for somewhat pricier costs, even during happy hour. Shrimp and lobster ravioli (not on happy hour menu) a huge disappointment considering they charge $30+ for it. Cactus club much better. Service was subpar. Nothing wrong with the place but there are much better options.

Joey has fully re-opened with all our menu favorites including happy hour and wine down Wednesday. I know it's less than ideal for the bottom line at 50% capacity but it was such a beautiful day with the peace and quiet on the patio was thoroughly enjoyable and amazing!

Good to be back ...missed some of the fan favorites with the limited menu but enjoyed the overall experience

Happy hour menu is great. Only complaint would be that the music is far too loud for any kind of chatting either your table mates.

Unfortunately the hostess did not find my reservation and good news they were not busy. A "manager" overheard my conversation with the hostess and we went through my OpenTable booking. When she returned she apologized for the hostesses oversight. My booking was indeed there. I thought it was very professional and courteous of her to look into it further. I ordered the tofu bowl today, first time; and would say that alot of their other meals are more enjoyable for me. It was mediocre, lacking zest and flare. I always otherwise enjoy Joey Restaurants and will continue to support them!

I have a mild shrimp allergy and I ordered the fish taco tonight. No where in the menu did it say that it include shrimp as one of the ingredients. I started having a reaction after having a few bites and thought maybe the fish touched some shrimp during the preparation process. Suddenly, a shrimp fell out of my taco shell. The server and the manager were both very apologetic. They said that recieved new menu recently and there are few errors that needed to be fix still. They said they will make sure to tell other customers about these missing ingredients continuing on. I was lucky that I am not severely allergic to shrimp, but lesson for me as well is to make sure to let your server know about ur allergy even if it doesn't say on the menu. My whole bill was taken care of in the end and I felt better after my friend ran over to the drug store across to get me some benedryl.

Menu prices seem to keep going up. Service was excellent though.

Restaurant was good. The women’s bathroom was dirty and done stalls had no toilet paper.

Crammed into a table that was too small, despite long-standing reservation. Service perfunctory, although warmed up a bit. Every dish was mediocre, and the steaks stood out as miserable. Cooked poorly (not close to request), but in any event the steak was low grade. All in all, a total food farce. Run in the opposite direction as fast as you can, does not come remotely close to Cactus or Earls. Insulting.

Arrived at the restaurant and found out that my pre exhorting booking was innacurrate and that my party of 10 would be separated to 2 tables. The hostess informed me that this is something that I should have known. Easily enough, I noticed that there was a section with a long table preset and at this point I requested to sit there. I was at that point told “no” and informed that there was another booking for 2 hours after ours and that had requested to sit together. Who knew when booking a table st Joeys Burnaby for more that 4 people you have to ask to sit together. I was informed that they could not accommodate my request. Through perseverance and a request to speak with the manager he agreed to allow us to sit at the long table as long as we left before the other party arrived. My guests and I were reminded by a staff that we had a half hour before we had to vacate the table. (We has already finished eating at this point and were already prepared to pay and gather our belongings. I found the whole experience off-putting and unprofessional.

Everything was great, But... Our server took our food order at about 8:55pm. After she took our order she put down the happy hour drink menu and said happy our starts soon. As she was walking away at about 8:58pm, we noticed that there was food on the happy hour menu too and three of the items we ordered were on that menu. We mentioned it when she returned but she didn’t offer to apply the happy our pricing on those items for us.

At time of our order we feel she should’ve said, “hey guys, if you wait 3min you get the happy our pricing.” Didn’t happen. Left us feeling a bit sour. Other than that she was a good server and we enjoyed our night.
