Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Seating space was appropriate for Covid 19.

Corey, our server, was fantastic. The restaurant did not have nearly enough help at the bar for the number of people in the restaurant.

Took my husband there for his birthday dinner. His steak was perfect and when asked if he preferred McKendricks for Joey D's he said it was about the same. The service was great, food great but a bit too dark in the restaurant. My husband enjoyed his first time at Joey D's.

Excellent ambiance. Good wine selection as well as spirits. Hanah was excellent wait staff. My friends loved the steaks.

Food was good and the service was good. Not great, just good. Lighting a little dark.

We spent a week in Amicalola Falls for our 19th Wedding Anniversary. Much of our dining was in Atlanta and was quite enjoyable. The meal we had at Joey D’s was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish! I think we thoroughly enjoyed everything and will definitely dine again when we return to Atlanta.

It was out first date and it was amazing!! I can’t believe how awesome jazz was! She was informative about the menu and even helped us with our drink a dessert selection!!

Always a pleasure to come here with friends or by myself. Love the Sinatra vibe! My kind of place! My way!

It was great and we will be going again.

The overall rating was low because the reservations were not organized.I had a 9:30 reservation and it was an hour before I was seated.My waitress was great and I ordered a turkey burger despite being advise it wasn’t great and it wasn’t.I’m not sure if I would ever visit the restaurant again because an important evening like New Year’s Eve wasn’t celebrated properly and they didn’t enforce masks,which is disappointing.

Busy new years eve and the reservations were running way behind, but the manager was very gracious and went above and beyond to make sure we were totally satisfied. Dinner and service were outstanding!

My husband and I went there New Year’s eve. The only negative was we had an hour wait even with our reservation. The restaurant was experiencing some kind of issue which impacted seating. They didn’t offer patrons anything to apologize for the service except apologies for the delay. They did offer complimentary champagne but it wasn’t offered to everyone who had been inconvenienced.

We had a reservation for 8:30 and were not seated until 9:40

I understand that it was a holiday but we were sat an hour after our reservation.

Cheesecake wasn’t good but our meals were good.

We had a reservation at 7pm and didn’t get sat until 8:15pm.

I’ve never had worse service ever! Meat completely undercooked twice! Sent back and still came out rare. My food came out first so it was cold by the time everyone else’s was fixed and we could eat together. I had to ask for Parmesan 4 times for the kids pasta. Never got it. Getting refills on drinks was like a wish come true. We were late to our next destination because the bill took forever and had to be corrected. My to go order was wrong. We were never offered dessert or given the chance to order. They wanted us out of there. It wasn’t our fault it was a hot mess and they were severely understaffed. I love their food or I’d never go back. It wasn’t any busier than a normal lunch day or dinner but it was NYE and a total mess. I’ll give the manager credit for taking off the bill the extra steak I had to order to feed my kid. Im not one to look for special treatment but I’m actually shocked that’s all that was done considering how awful it clearly was. Not only to us dining but the waitress was very clear and apologized several times. Though it didn’t stop her from chatting up the table behind us every chance she got while we sat there scratching our heads. Just not a great visit. Hoping the next redeems one of my favorite places.

Very good service and food and drinks were good for the money

I don’t begin to understand why people have less than exceptional experiences at Joey D’s. The bartenders always impress me. I can only wish that everyone had the same experiences that I enjoy.

This place is great. Best bourbon selection OTP. maybe not the sought after limited barrel runs, but plenty of options. Food here is great, really a nice spot to remember tavern at Phipps and have a drink for sure.

The bar staff is very attentive and always a pleasure to be around! One of my favorite places to dine in the area! Mila is the best bartender around!

Fantastic food and drinks, but the service was even better . If you are able to go to Joey Ds make sure to see Mila at the bar, she is extremely personable and will make sure you are taken care of

I was summoned to a business lunch for my boss, who was out of town, and of course opted to conduct the lunch at Joey D's.

Not very crowded so the distancing was not as acute as it would be at dinner, and it was good to have a lower noise threshold. Don't get me wrong, I love the ambience there.

Salads and pasta were the choices and all was good.

Diana our server did a marvelous job and I believe I could detect an almost constant smile throughout the lunch.

Enjoyed our Christmas Eve dinner, food was delicious.

My Wife’s 50th Birthday

I love visiting Mila at the Joey D’s bar. She has spot on recommendations when I need them and carries energy to all her guests as far as I can tell.

Hostess sat us 20 min after our reservation. What’s the point of making a reservation if you can’t keep it? Restaurant was less then half full the whole time

Had to wait even with a reservation. It wasn’t long, but I didn’t expect to have to wait that long - don’t restaurants anticipate reservations when seating tables?

Make a reservation and get there before the rush. Great hamburger and the most delicious salad ever!

Great night! We’ve become regulars of Joey D’s, especially for special occasions. Our waiter, Landon, was efficient, attentive, and fun. And the giant beef rib is back and out of quarantine, yay!! Everything was wonderful. Thank you!

Joey D's used to be on our short list for favorite restaurants. They took longer than most to re-open - which is fine - but the two times we have been back since have been very disappointing. We sat at the bar both times and even though there were only 3 other diners, we had to flag down the bartenders when we needed something - they seemed more interested in doing their prep work instead of waiting on the paying / tipping customers. The kitchen apparently doesn't keep the staff informed so 10 minutes after we placed our order we learned that at 5:00 on a Sunday they were out of one of their signature items (ribs). Our other favorite restaurants are very good about telling us up front if they're running low or are out of something. I had my favorite chopped steak - normally amazing - this time not so much. Very unevenly cooked and something was off with the taste. I did not ask for it to be fixed because by this point my husband was just ready to leave. Whatever was off, made my stomach very upset. Not sure whether we will risk a "3rd strike" or not???

the food is great as always. My favorites are the meatballs and crab claws. The Beef rib is to die if its available!

I stood by the bar for 15 min before my order was taken and I had to flag the bartender down when she wasn’t even busy. She never looked around the bar to see who needed service. The salad has too much Caesar dressing on it.
