   Super cute and fun place for drinks and live music. Perfect location in the heart of Power and Light District. It wasn't crowded on a Friday night. Lots of seating options as close or far away from the stage as you choose.

   My sorority sisters and I from the Leavenworth Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc celebrated our 110th Founders Day at Johnnies, Power, and Light, and we had an amazing time! The food and drinks were excellent, and the service was phenomenal. Our Soror Delynia Jannell and her band were electrifying! Our guests and we had so much fun last night. Our group had some first-timers, and I am sure you have gained some new regulars! Thank you to Mike and Amber for taking such good care of us! See you next time!

   I made a reservation for 5. When we arrived, the hostess had a hightop table for 4. The table was too small for 5 dinners. We asked to be seated at a table for 5, but we were told they were all reserved. We ended up having dinner at the bar, which gave us more space, but not great for conversation. I'd go back for the live jazz (the band was very good), but probably not for dinner.

   Great ambiance. Wonderful live music spot. Piaget was the singer during our visit and she was amazing!!! She made it warm and welcoming and even came to each table to say hello to everyone in the audience. I had the western burger and forgot to tell them medium instead of well done. My fault. The wife had the blackened salmon and she said it was ok. The greatest part about this place is the ambience, it’s not overcrowded but Austin not empty, just perfect setting.

    We arrived early and were seated right away. They seemed a bit short-handed and the service was a bit slow. We weren't in a hurry, so it didn't bother us much. It did take a while to get our initial drink order. The food came out hot and was better than expected for essentially "bar food." We enjoyed the meals and the entertainment. We had reserved a table near the stage and were pleased. If you want to have ongoing conversations, I suggest seats further from the stage. We enjoy being up close. We will definitely go back.

    One of my friends’ drink was drugged here. The food took nearly an hour to come. I don’t know if there was a change in management, but the service and menu were completely different than when we came a couple of months ago. We will not be coming back, which is a shame since the atmosphere is fun. But we can’t go back to where one of us was drugged.

    The $25 cover is too high for a dance event. I realize it includes food, but for those of us who are coming mostly for dancing the cost is too high.

    Loved the experience! on a little out of town get-a-way. Reserved seats on comfy velvet couch w/perfect view of stage. Laid back vibe. Loved Piaget! Service thoughtful, helpful, attentive. Had a tasty caesar salad w/ cab and husband had margarita pizza w/pale ale. Exactly what we wanted and needed.

    Really offputting to make a eeservation for a jazz club and find ourselves in the same building as a movie theater. Bartwnder has no clue what a dry martini means. Shitton of vermouth, even after asking him to remake. Sound system not that great.

    If you are going for the jazz it’s a great place. If you’re going for a meal, especially with a large group, I would eat ahead of time. Drinks were ordered and constantly came out wrong, food took over 45 minutes and one of our party’s meals did not come until about 20 minutes after everyone else’s food. Meals came out wrong. Never got 2 side dishes and they still charged us for them. On the other hand, the jazz was wonderful and it was a good atmosphere other than the service.

    Great pre event spot. Close to TMobile center. Got to catch a little of the jazz act which was great. Steak was a little over seasoned but cooked to temperature and staff was great!

    Our server was great. I orders nachos to share with the table and the cheese wasn’t even melted, maybe that’s normal, but it seemed strange. My daughter was happy with her grilled chicken sandwich, her friend liked her flatbread. I ordered the black bean burger, it was awful. It tasted like the ones you get from Costco and it was terribly overcooked. I feel like if your not going to make something like that from scratch it shouldn’t be on the menu. It was forgettable.

    My coworkers and I went to this Jazz Bar & Grille and it was AMAZING! Our waitress, Vanessa, was such an angel and was very helpful with a pretty smile! I will definitely be coming back here!

    As of this writing, they host a jazz event featuring east coast swing dancers and it's fantastic! Great bar and food, great music and fantastic jazz!

    Johnnie’s is a mixed bag. The food was adequate, and our server was very nice. The issue was the staff was very disconnected and spread thin. Not worth the trip considering how many other their great options there are in the area. We rolled the dice, we lost.

    We had a great pre-concert meal with excellent service and great drinks. Because we had the concert we couldn’t stay for the band, but hearing them warming up, it sounded like we would have enjoyed it. I like the “reserved experience options” as that helps both the restaurant manage their guests and attendees enjoy the evening they expect.

    This place is a trainwreck. We made a reservation and were quickly seated right next to the stage, which we liked. Fast forward 10 minutes and we are still sitting there...I asked my husband to go to the bar to see if we should order there as this was our first time at this establishment. Right when he went up to the bar a server came by and said she would grab some waters. 5 minutes later waters arrived and the server said she would BRB. 5 minutes later we were still waiting (20 minutes total) and we just decided to leave. I noticed the table next to us walked out and left most of their food, which was confusing, and just left me with a strange vibe. Although we were enjoying the music, the atmosphere is old and creepy and not in a cool way. It's inside the same building as a movie theater and seems really out of place. It's gross. We will not return.

    Not disappointed- taking out customers last minute, needed a place that takes reservations. Johnnie’s came up, and it looked interesting, but couldn’t confirm it’s quality with any of my KC friends. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised! The food was good- would recommend the nachos, and the fried chicken special as a TV dinner was a special treat! The 80’s band was AMAZING! What a voice! Plan to come back with my husband for a date night!

    Our waitress had an emergency and had to leave. No one bothered to come back to remove all the plates after we were done eating. We wanted to order more drinks and popcorn. We had to finally ask another waitress. She took our paid signed receipts. Never came back. We then asked another waitress passing by to help us she said I'll get your waitress. She came back and said your waitress had to leave. Okay we knew that so you can't take our drink and popcorn order or at least remove the plates and bring to go boxes She did but was irritated. Other than that we did enjoy the food and entertainment.

    We go a lot to the Johnnies in Liberty and its one of our favorite locales! We wanted to try this Johnnies before we were heading to the Midland. It took much longer to get our drinks and appetizers that we were used to (20 min). When our entrees arrived, the food was hot and pretty good. The band playing was Piaget and we really enjoyed the music. We want to come back to listen to more bands. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and am looking forward to returning.

    We enjoyed the 80's night. They asked for request. They even came to our table several times and asked what songs we would like. I mentioned Manic Monday several times and they said they would definitely play that song. They never did the song.
