For Newport Beach i expected alot more very disappointed

Went here for my brothers birthday and was very impressed. Everything about our experience was wonderful. Would most definitely recommend to anybody and can’t wait to go back!

We ha fa great meal out on the outside patio off the dining room. Service was excellent and food great as always !

It was a wonderful experience. My friends enjoyed the lunch. One friend does not like brussel sprouts which was the vegetable of the day. Overall, great lunch.

I was very comfortable eating at Johnny's. They are very well set up to accomodate social distancing. The outdoor location is beautiful with fire pits and vertical heaters. The food was outstanding and the staff very friendly. I recommend Johnny's without hesitation.

Wonderful Will go again

Good food, great service, reasonable prices. Special even going on outside so parking was difficult but nothing is far.

We sat outside and it was great. Tables are spaced appropriately and the view is awesome.

I believe it must be different when covid isn't a variable in it.

We went for our anniversary - in our reservation requested an outside table and were seated inside. Normally I would have spoken up, but wasn't sure if there was a reason why we weren't seated outside, so we just went with it. The lighting was a bit bright, and we were seated at a table when there were empty booths that were just sitting dirty. Would have preferred a booth, but, was not going to bother a it was our anniversary and we didn't want to complain or ruin our happy mood going in.

The food was pretty good. Salad had too much dressing (and I always use a lot of dressing so that is saying a lot. ) My medium steak was medium well but was delicious. Veggies were bland - mashed potatoes as well. The server was busy, they all were, and didn't come back to check on us after apps or dinner until we were finished. I think this was due to their being too many tables and not enough servers so I don't fault the server because they were just spread too thin.

My biggest concern was when I needed more water and they filled it with a pitcher. A pitcher that I'm assuming is being used around the room and touching others glasses. I admit before covid I never really thought about that - but I certainly was not drinking out of it again after that.

To sum it up - mediocre good. Not a great ambiance, definitely not a place I would make a point to go to again, and definitely not the place if you want a romantic dinner.

Just lunch outdoors on a gorgeous warm fall day! Excellent social distancing on outside patio. Always great food & service. We love Johnny’s!

The Atlantic Resort would seem like a hotel, but it is my favorite place on Aquidneck Island. Great people, consistent food and service, and it may cost a few cents more, it is my favorite.
The ONLY place that serves Lamb Chops and Michelob Ultra on draft. The fire pits are great, come to think of it, everything is great.

Johnnie’s was very comfortable and bright. The staff was helpful about specials and alternative choices. We will definitely go back soon.

Cheese board, truffle fries, and antipasto made for a great light dinner. Surrounded by outdoor heaters and a cool breeze it was a great outside fall dinner.

We had to wait 1 hour just for lunch to come out. So slow and food was just ok.

I saw they had risotto on the menu and wanted to try it. I asked our waitress if the chef is able to make seared shrimp and the mushroom risotto for me (as it was an item not on the menu) and the chef was able to accommodate!

It was the most delicious risotto I had tasted in quite a while and highly recommend they put this dish on the menu!

We also ordered the hummus appetizer and it did not disappoint!

Seated on the patio with a nice view of the sunset. Staff was attentive and friendly. Food and prices were very good. Overall, an excellent choice in the Middletown area.

Food took a long time and was cold once brought to the table. Service wasn’t super friendly. We were seated outside where it was very cold. We were next to a fire at least, but when we moved closer to eat our meals closer the fire, we were told by our waitress that wasn’t allowed. We ended up leaving pretty disappointed.

Lovely evening. Most of the diners where at outside tables to watch the sunset over the water. We ate inside where there were very few tables the closest of which was at least 25 ft. away. All the staff compiled with COVID-19 requirements. Service was fantastic, fast and friendly. Food was excellent. My wife had Sole stuffed with Lobster, I had crispy chicken. Everything from the bread to the Clam Chowder, to the Entre to the desert was without fault. We look forward to our next visit.

nice restaurant, very good service. we had the calamari, which were tender, but a bit greasy. Then we had the lobster roll and lobster mac and cheese. Both were very good. Dessert was good too double chocolate cake and chocolate covered strawberries. we had breakfast also the next day and the pancakes and eggs were good. I would definitely come back.

Service was great food was prepared perfect to asking. Filet was cooked perfect though they forgot to give the twice baked potato and asparagus instead it came with the standard red bliss mashed and spinach. Server fixed it as quick as she could and brought the correct sides. Shrimp fettuccine was perfect. Cesar salads had no flavor pricing a little high for a hotel restaurant and patio was closed last minute due to windy weather. We were sat in a covered enclave outside which seemed like a hotel common area just set up for dining but we would still go back for the service and food.

A great little spot for an outdoor lunch.
