Joni restaurant offers delicious and creative brunch options in a beautifully appointed setting. Although almost all tables were full when we visited, it still seemed open, airy and quieter than expected. Service was fantastic and their take on an eggs benedict was delicious! Valentines Day dinner was a set menu - three courses with choices for each course. We tried two options for each course and they all left us wishing we had a bit more to to try. It was a busy night and the staff let us know what to expect in terms of timing so we relaxed and leisurely enjoyed each course. We have done the tasting menu here before and our Valentine experience just makes us want to come back and try the tasting menu again.

Our meal ranked high on our list of meals of a lifetime. We made the right in-advance choice by trying the chef’s tasting menu. The kitchen graciously accommodated the dietary restrictions and preferences we had specified four days in advance. The front-of-house manager / maître d, servers (especially Roy), sommelier, and executive sous chef Jonathan Williams provided the friendliest and utmost professional service. Every course was delicious; not a single one disappointed. At the end of the evening, we even received sweet treats to take home and have with our coffee the next morning. Sitting by the fireplace, we were afforded a great view of the spacious dining area, stylish bar, and deservedly much-talked-about staircase. We cannot recommend Joni Restaurant enough! Thank you for an amazing dining experience and a wonderful memory.

Everything was amazing, from the service to the food…minus the guest who decided to dump an entire bottle of perfume on themselves, which permeated the entire restaurant. It made for a good laugh with the staff though! Thank you for an enjoyable evening:-)

Amazing Valentine’s Day experience. Can honestly say everything on this menu was done to perfection. The halibut (not pictured) disappeared before I could take a picture. Good portion for fine dining. I left feeling well fed.

The food was sublime and they took consideration for both Valentinesday and my birthday. They also made a small mistake by serving food before we even had a drink and offered us free beverage, which was a nice gesture. Waitress was amazing and kind and the atmosphere was so lovely! Perfect for the occasion we went as well.

food was good. great options for breakfast. however waiter was quick to usher us out. failed to offer us any coffee or warm drinks once we were done.. only offered the bill after our main meals were done.

My partner and I went for the Valentine's day High Tea. The food was exceptional, the ambience was impeccable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I can't say enough good things.

Portions were larger than expected here. Some of the dishes were very strong on the palate that it was hard to finish the entire dish. The service was slow but we did go on a weekday. Maybe it is different on the day of the week. The drinks here are delicious!

Great dinning experience! Initially we made the reservation for winterlicious but decided to go with the tasting menu and truly enjoyed being surprised with the delicious courses. The Uni on French toast is an amazing combo! Really appreciate the few extras the chef added beyond the menu. The serve team is friendly and attentive, ambience is warm and inviting we will definitely visit again!

We tried winterlicious menu at Joni. It is a lounge located on the ground level of Park Hyatt. Very quiet with cozy couch. Good to chat with friends at leisure. The appetizers were super toothsome, but surprisingly the main dishes and desserts were not very satisfying.

Cant wait to go back to Joni. Love the hotel lobby vibe. And the food was spectacular. Had the creme brulée french toast (suggest that it be shared as it is very rich) and short rib dish. And the drip coffee was the BEST Ive had.

A great night out with friends. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. This was one of the best tasting menu we have had in a while and we have been to many. Each course was well presented and delicious on their own. The wine pairing was spot on and the progression of dishes worked well. We stayed for over 4 hours and did not feel rushed. We will definitely be going back.

The service was exceptional from our server - he was great. We both ordered the same - the mushroom soup was incredible, the fish & chips were good, would have been better wish mushy peas (I’m from the UK and this is the norm). I have over the past 8 years gradually become quite lactose intolerant - would be great if the menu could provide dietary symbols so that guests can order confidently. The soup included cream and I had to ask - the server didn’t know and had to ask the kitchen - it had 20% cream. Was ok I just popped a pill and was glad I stuck with my choice. I will be back.

Was excited to try Joni after watching the reno go on for years. Nice room, nicer washrooms, service top tier. Food read well on the menu but lacked oomph on the plate. Without a smothering if Dijon mustard from a bottle and some sour dough toast my steak tartare would have been returned. It lacked a flavour punch you expect from this classic— and serving it on a waffle fell flat. Fish and chips fared better though the breading was way too greasy and too dark from over frying. Hey, I would for sure go back and try it again. But might wait for the spring menu before I venture back.

I went there for NYE. It was a 7 course chef special. The portions were soooo tiny, it felt like a social experiment. At $190 per person, one should at least be full after a 7 course meal. The meal included 1. One bun with butter and 2 tiny ritz mini size biscuits 2. Litte tiny piece of apple with some crubmle on top as a salad. 3. Fish broth as a soup (literally) 4. Little Piece of cod fish 5. 1 piece of pasta with egg yolk in it. 6. Bite size piece of stake and one crab leg. 7. Tea spoon of ice cream with a bite size doughnut. I was not impressed at all. The food was nothing to rave about either. Would not recommend this place for any occasion.

Joni received lots of mix reviews. Some said very good, some said very disappointed. I gave it a try on New Year Eve. It only offers tasting menu at a price of $190 per person. Upon arrival, valet parking is almost a must, unless you parked at Yorkville public parking. Start with bread and some Italian sauages. Bread is surprising good, comparable to Louis Louix and Alo. Then oyster with creamy sauce, I like the combination, chef is very creative. Next course is the fras gois with the cute little pieces of bread. There is fish broth served, and I feel like the broth is a little salty. The halibut course is amazing, fish meat is firm and fresh. Next course is a piece big ravioli with truffle. Nice execution in this course, the waitress told us to cut in half, and there will be a raw egg inside. Last main course is the tenderloin with lobster. The steak cooked medium rare, and very tender. Finally dessert is a small cream puff with ice cream on a tart. Again, nice presentation and can see the chef put the effort on each course. I love Joni at Park Hyatt!
