Jurema Terrace at The Mandrake
Due to new COVID changes, the restaurant lost all their bookings. However, we were accompanied to a private dining cabana, which was a unexpected special treat. Service was amazing, our waiter was very engaging and ensured we were happy. Food was smaller portions than we thought but at the same time we were satisfyingly full.
Absolutely amazing service, the staff were the loveliest people and really went above and beyond to make our experience positive. That alone was worth every single penny.
Our main waitress, (I think her name was Nena/Nane) was absolutely wonderful. We’ll be back for sure!
A wonderful venue, great food and cocktails. Would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely bartender/ waiter Lucas. He was entertaining and easy to talk to/ get on with. He gave me a blanket as I was feeling quite cold on the outdoor terrace, the drinks were good and the overall experience was memorable.
Unfortunately the terrace was closed so we sat downstairs in the restaurant, which, to be fair had really cool and playful decorations, very comfortable and set a good mood. But, the food, to say it was terrible was not an over exaggeration. You could find better food for a third of the price, the quesadillas tasted like microwaved cardboard and the fish like it was straight from co ops frozen food section.
Would go back, but only for drinks, wouldn’t recommend eating there
The setting was nice and the service and vibe were great. The food was tasty but very tiny portions for the price. We had a small bowl of guacamole with only a few chips, 3 small lamb empanadas and 3 fish tacos (a better size). The cocktails were a little disappointing but the beer was nice - albeit at £7 for a half pint.
Beautiful food and experience and venue to relax from the world. They served unique herbal infusions. My favourites were the unique tasty mint tea (Kykeon) and the most sublime Lemon verbena from Nazani tea! Such a find. I feel like the infusions brought me to a real state of calm and peace.
Team catch up with dogs - the staff are an absolute pleasure. The food is of an extremely high standard. We tried desserts this time. Some of the best I’ve eaten in london. Bravo chef.
I visited Jurema Terrace for a date, and it was lovely. It is a very discreet terrace, quiet and well decorated. I loved the seating arrangements, it makes you feel as if you’re on holiday. The staff were very welcoming and gave us really good recommendations. I think the terrace is now my favourite place in the hotel.
Love Mandrake. Will be back. Need more options for meals at the terrace
The vibe feels very Balinesque, it even smells like lemongrass. We didn't actually end up eating, but I'm going back today (2 days later) to try. My new favorite spot.
Place was lovely most of the staff were ok but some seemed to be a little... I am not sure if pretentious is the right word but just not quite friendly, perhaps slightly hostile. Waitress seemed to be displeased when we said we didn’t want cocktails(bearing in mind I don’t drink for lifestyle choices). The place it self however is lovely! Probably wouldn’t come again unless I take it upon myself to start drinking. More of a bar then restaurant I’d say.
I took 4 ppl for a business lunch here and it was very disappointing. Service is terrible! I mean I read about this and thought, it can’t be that bad, but yes it was. Staff was disappearing in a back room and was not competent at all when asking for recommendations or help. We were left with no drinks and dirty plates for an hour or so and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Food was Ok, but pretty average. Won’t be going back.
We came for breakfast and thought the food was really good. We liked the ambiance and a pretty sight overall. However, some of the staff members could have offered a better service in terms of being efficient and awake at their job. Energy levels of one waitress that served us seemed to be lacking. A smile and engaging conversation is much preferable to all customers.
Visited here for dinner and it’s such a lovely place, feels like you’re in Bali! The vibe is great and the staff were all really nice and attentive! The portions of food are quite small but what we did have tasted amazing so I would definitely come back here especially for an occasion!
Lovely place to eat in the terrace. Food was exceptional particularly the padron peppers and great cocktails. Very good service and ambience as well. Will def come back again
One of the most beautiful restaurant settings in London!
Really love terrace spot for drinks, we only had the guacamole to share as we went for a few drinks before dinner elsewhere. It was also a late afternoon on a Monday so of course it wasn't crazy busy. But it had a really nice relaxed atmosphere. I had the goji cocktail and a glass of champagne which was really nice and the staff were really friendly. They did however take some time to come over for our order although it wasn't busy. Overall a really nice spot and I would go again Thursday- Saturday when it is busier and try more of the food!
The service was terrible. We had to keep asking the waitresses to take our order. Seemed as though the members of staff were not too bothered about serving.
Food was cold by the time it arrived and hot drinks weren’t being served.
Had a great double anniversary celebration dinner with some friends. We were in a private Cabana which was a lovely converted hotel room. On arrival there was a slight confusion and we were reminded of minimum spend before being shown into the room.
Food was really great across all courses and worked as sharing dishes with everything in the middle of the table. Cocktails were mixed well with generous measure.
Service was also great with 'Lisa going above and beyond to enhance our enjoyment of the night and venue.
It was raining and really cold. They couldnt sit us in different area. They would sit us only if we spend over 200 pounds a couple. We had already agrees to spend 150 pounds under the raining garden because they told us we would be charge if we didnt go ahead with reservation. We stayed as it was our 1st time out in a while . We spent 180 pounds in drinks and few tapas that wasn't worth the money. Keep away from this place ... wouldn't ever go back
We arrived a few minutes late, but the staff felt it necessary to remind us that our seating period would be shortened, despite there being absolutely no danger that they were going to be full. We ordered appetisers and main courses, all of which came out at the same time, and were told that we should have said if we wanted them separately. The food was ok. Staff hovered and were somewhat awkward, but the venue and the ambience was very good - the terrace is very beautiful.
Eccentric decor, small menu but very tasty. Nice staff
beautiful terrace very Zen loved the whole ambiance and fusion appetisers and champagne
Posey and overly loud bar full of wannabe celebs and models - overpriced and not that great the cocktails were also mediocre and service was sloppy and disorganised. It tries to be exclusive but come across as crass
Beautiful surroundings. Lovely ambivalence. The staff were attentive, but could probably be better in making sure we were being looked after.
Would definitely return as the setting is so lovely.
Lovely spot to relax in and the foot and cocktails were amazing!
Great food, beautiful restaurant although smaller than expected. Great service. Would go again.
Ambiance was nice although our table was next to the bar so it got quite loud with cocktails bits flying everywhere (although free shots by way of apology). Food was quite good as were the cocktails and service was excellent.
Great terrace, drinks were lovely, food was okay for the price. Great for the gram.
The food was unreal and the service was outstanding, I felt so accommodated during my visit and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a cosmopolitan treat whilst in London!
The hotel is beautiful and the staff were great - but the booking process and minimum spend are absolutely ridiculous for the quality you receive. The cocktails were bland, the food was terrible - corn chips from a packet, "courgette flower" that was a sliced courgette, small portions, no flavour and definitely not authentic South American cuisine.
Amazing hidden gem in London. Almost want to keep it a secret!
A really great experience, would recommend to those looking for a vibrant environment
Food was vert tasty and the atmosphere on the terrace was perfect for a hot summer evening. Very relaxed atmosphere.
Very friendly staff but we've been told off for not taking photos inside the hotel.
Beautiful setting but tasteless small portions of food and very expensive cocktails. Definitely wouldn’t go again - only went cos limited outdoor places at the moment.
Had a wonderful time. Will definitely be going back
Stunning place & great food & service! The private Cabanas gave an inside-outside feel. My new favourite place for a night out!
We had a table at 9.30pm. Ambiance wasn’t amazing and within 10 min of sitting they told us that they were taking last orders so it felt rushed. The food was nice But the mood wasn’t right. I think they either need to extend the dinner and drinks hours or not take bookings that late into the evening
