   1) 30 mins at table before a server arrived. 2) I asked for cream and it didn’t come until I went to another server (10 minutes later) 3) My sister’s English muffin wasn’t toasted when served. 4) I ordered an omelet and instead got scrambled eggs. 5) The server didn’t ask us if we wanted any juice etc. 6) I had to ask for salt/pepper.

   Visiting my sister to celebrate our birthdays. The escargot and trout were wonderful. Service was slow on our drinks from the bar which is irritating when your food has already arrived. The decors of the restaurant is very posh. Overall, a very nice dining experience. Would recommend!

   The service was amazing! I got the Turkey Croissant which was recommended by our server and it was fantastic. I loved the truffle fries. We also got the shrimp app too and a lavender mocktail. It was a lovely brunch before we saw Don Pasquale down the street. Overall, wonderful experience!

   The Katherine is one of the best restaurants in Winston Salem. If this menu, service, ambiance was in a major city, it would take months to get a reservation as it would definitely be a top venue. We enjoyed the menu selection, presentation and mostly the taste of all of our dishes. The staff from beginning to end make this a most pleasure able experience. When my children graduate from Wake Forest, we will spend less time at The Katherine, which might leave a void in our gastronomical experience. Kudos to the leadership and staff at the Katherine.

    Very good service. The food was very disappointing and did not include all the items listed on the menu. The bar items were excellent. Some of the staff were not very professional. We watched a waitress from the bar spill a drink on the floor of the dining room and then just walk away. We had to warn fellow diners to avoid the area, including a visually impaired guest using a cane. I would suggest these venue for drinks and snack only.

    Travelling from opposite ends of the state, members of our family chose Winston-Salem as a good halfway point. We met up to celebrate my twin daughters' birthday, and what a great choice The Katherine Brasserie turned out to be! Outstanding French wine, onion soup, duck breast, trout and salmon were perfectly festive for the occasion. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Valet parking for easy access.

    This restaurant has consistently great food. I have dined her a dozen times or more over the years, as have business in Winston, and have never been disappointed. The trout, which I had this time, is awesome. Great wine selections, and knowledgeable wait staff. Looking forward to next time.

    We were celebrating my wife's birthday, and wanted something special. The Katherine did not disappoint! The menu isn't broad, but each entree was unique, and our selections were exceptional: tasty, generous, and beautifully presented. The wait staff was cordial and attentive without being intrusive. Overall, our evening at the Katherine was a memorable experience.

    I have eaten here several times and have enjoyed my experiences. That said, last night was not so great. I ordered the Steak Frites. The steak was burned on the outside and not cooked to order on the inside. I order medium rare. I got somewhere closer to medium well. The frites were not high quality. I could have gotten better at a fast food restaurant. Looked like desert sizes shrank but prices went up. If last night was a blip, ok. But if this is the new normal, this restaurant probably won't be around much longer.

    Food was good, but left hungry, (stopped by McDs for a 1/4 pounder on way home). Service was the best thing about the experience. Seating was tight, could not enjoy a private conversation with couples within three feet of us. Noise was excessive for me with hearing issues.

    We had a fantastic time! The bar is well stocked and their old fashioned variations were spectacular. We had a drink before being seated for dinner and we had oysters, the fromage plate, and I had a ribeye and my wife had the filet; both were excellent. The crème brûlée and pot de creme were both excellent for dessert as well. Parking across the street was convenient. We will definitely be back.

    Very attentive service by both the hostesses and the servers. Waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. Nice atmosphere for a wide range of people. Bar area is great and active. Drinks were very well made and a nice variety of alcohol is available. Food was excellent. Brussel sprouts were some of the best I’ve had. Chicken was perfectly cooked with nice presentation and wonderful pepper sauce. Tasty and not too spicy. Fish was cooked perfectly as well and very tasty. Chocolate pot dessert was amazing. Beautifully presented and taste did not disappoint. Very happy with the total experience.

    If I'm being quite honest, and this may sound petty, but I am dropping this down to three stars for two main reasons. The price of this restaurant, and what they are trying to sell themselves as, demands a level that they fell short of in a couple of ways. The first of which is communication withe restaurant. I tried to call ahead, as it was my wife's birthday, to have something special waiting for her at the table. No one answered the phone. Also, I noticed they had a problem with runners and valet congregating at the hostess stand. Again, while this may sound petty, if you are promoting yourself as a fine dining establishment, these are things that must be rectified. The biggest thing, and I know it sounds dumb, is that they use frozen bag french fries. When you are paying 45 dollars for a steak, which for this area is higher than usual, the fact that you use frozen french fries instead of making them is ridiculous. My steak was cooked quite well, my wife's duck was delicious, as was the escargot and cheese board. But, if you are going to charge $20 dollars for a cocktail and $30+ dollars for lower end entree's, using prepackaged frozen ingredients is just ridiculous. On top of it, fries are so easy to make and when they are made fresh and crispy, they add something to steak frites. I know this may sound petty, but if you are trying to pass yourself as fine dining, these types of things cannot happen. The service was good, the restaurant is beautiful, but there are something's that make it less than what it is trying to be.

    Very nice ambiance. Food was standard and a very limited menu. Service was outstanding. Thr food is not really French.They have a small selection of typical french foo but not the French taste. Nice experience but not outstanding.

    Katherine Brasserie is well worth a visit. The food is excellent, a very comprehensive wine selection both by the glass and by the bottle. Service is relaxed and friendly. The bar has some outstanding cocktails as well.
