Excellent sushi and a great value. Have eaten at lots of sushi places and this is up there. Nice interior design in the restaurant.

Kaz really is the best sushi restaurant in DC. The food is exceptional, and the service is warm and friendly in a nice, cozy atmosphere.

For years this has been one of the best places in DC for those who enjoy truly good sushi and sashimi. Fish is always fresh. Service is always top notch.

Hostess was not polite when we wanted to sit with our friends who had also made a reservation at the same time. She wanted to seat us in different areas of the restaurant when they were not crowded. We also called early in the day to make the request so they were given a heads up. She was not accommodating at all. Finally after too long an uncomfortable conversation, in the restaurant, we were able to sit with our friends. Food was ok.

EVERYthing we had was amazing: grilled octopus, cauliflower/kale, pork lettuce wraps, pork katsu skewers. The sushi was fresh and inventive (we ordered the ones with the sauce).
