Very good service and unforgettable delicious kobe beef taste. Highly recommended to try the kobe course it’s worth every single penny. Cold dish is just does not suit my taste overall is pretty good.
Lunchtime reservation, staff was attentive, atmosphere was subdued and upscale. We were attracted by their (reasonably priced) lunch menu. We visited on our last day in Tokyo, to check off our bucket list of experiences not to miss while in Japan. We were pleasantly surprised!
I ordered the very expensive kobe steak and was overwhelmed by the taste, so tender and delicious! Despite the lunch specials, which my children enjoyed, I couldn’t resist ordering their premium steak chef’s specialty. I was so glad I did, savoring every last bite of this meal.
Their kobe steak was definitely worth the splurge! The chef was also kind enough to whip up a seafood dish (not on their lunch menu) for a vegetarian in our group. This was a meal to remember, but I would recommend this restaurant at lunchtime if you don’t want to break the bank.
Kobe Beef Kaiseki 511 was an amazing experience and one of the most unforgettable moments of our holiday
Went there for a belated birthday celebration and it definitely did not disappoint. We had the Summer Menu Set Course and enjoyed every bit of it. The service was impeccable and the lady who looked after us really impressed us with her knowledge of the ingredients and the menu being served. It was a joyful and fun experience! I would definitely come back again on my next trip!
Fantastic experience, service was excellent along with the food. Would come back again!
The service that I read about in other reviews was absolutely right. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and were greated by every member of the staff. We were escorted to our table and my husbands and sons jackets hung. The menu was thoroughly explained in English. We ordered the western with 120grams of Kobe sirloin. It was absolutely delicious with and without the amazing soy sauce mouse. It was expensive but worth every penny. The two waitresses and wine steward were very attentive. We had a question about if they used the other parts of the cow and the waitress gave us a very knowledgeable explanation. All of the courses were delicious. They asked if we needed a taxi after we were done with desert, and had one waiting for us when we finished dinner. The waitress escorted us to the taxi and She explained to the driver where to take us back to our hotel. We would definitely go back the next time we will be in Japan
Even if the quality of beef is at the top it is to much expansive also for this top value of beef in a few japanese ambiance I Know many restaurants in Japan at the top and also at the top but much less expansive in Special Japanese Ambiance!!!!!
I had an amazing experience with this meal - it was the highlight of my trip to Japan! The food and ambiance was amazing, and the service and knowledgeable staff were so helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Delicious food and excellent service. Some courses in the 7 course money such as fried foie gras were not the absolute best but the Kobe beef steak melted in my mouth. The soy sauce mousse was incredibly tasty.
The service here is impeccable! We had the Japanese style Kobe beef course - it is the one that is roughly 13,000 Yen. Everything was delicious and so well prepared. I would highly recommend it even though it is a bit pricey. We went here for the first night of our honeymoon, and they brought us out a separate dessert in addition to the one included in our menu which was very nice.
Best kobe I had in Tokyo!
Excellent service. We had the oriental and the ocidental menus - both awesome.
I don’t think it’s worth the money. I wouldn’t go back
Several dishes were bland with non matching flavors. Main issue, however, was the meat. Sirloin was very good, but Chateaubriand was no better than a regular non-wagyu filet. $200 for the Chateaubriand that was significantly less
tender and marbled than the sirloin was very disappointing and I feel completely insulted to have paid that much for such a disappointing piece of meat.
This continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Tokyo. Every meal is perfect and the service fantastic. I'm not sure what else I can say... it's worth every penny.
We were looking for a Kobe Beef Kaiseki experience in Tokyo and Kobe Beef 511 came up on several searches so we went with high expectations that were certainly met. First of all the service was caring and fabulous. Each course while beautifully served was clearly introduced and instructions on how to proceed which were greatly appreciated. The presentation was beautiful and the food was fabulous. Can I mention the caring service again! Meeting us at the taxi upon arrival and escorting us back to a taxi when finished. I cannot recommend highly enough!
We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday, it was our first time in Japan and were looking for a restaurant known for serving Kobe beef. First off, getting reservations is difficult in Japan, but fortunately Kaiseki 511 uses Open Table, so we were able to book a table before we left home. The staff is extremely attentive, especially our main waiter, they speak good English and they have English menus. It is expensive, but worth it to us because of the good quality Kobe beef and excellent service. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.
Kobe beef was delicious. Service was great.
Best Kobe beef I’ve ever had in my life. Our waiter was courteous, knowledgeable and patient, making great recommendations. The food arrived very timely, and we were treated to the best medium-rare beef ever that was moist, tender, well cooked and evenly marbled. The side dishes were amazing, and they served it with a soy mousse butter that complemented it perfectly. A wonderful experience and very affordable considering the quality.
The food was absolutely amazing, the staff was very nice, the place looked very fancy and it was a really good experience. I recommend Kobe beef kaiseki 511 for eating kobe beef in Tokyo, definitely
I visited Kobe beef 511 with a friend for dinner and we had an amazing experience. We took the set Japanese Kobe meal with 6-7 courses. The flavors, the presentation, the variety, the combinations and the food itself were PERFECT. The restaurant and the staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. I highly recommend if you are interested to try top class Japanese food.
No words can describe the perfection. That is all.
Beef meted in mouth
Delicious food, great service
Very very good experience
Great experience overall. Excellent Kobe beef and cooked to perfection for medium rare.
One of the best dining service I have ever had. The cuisine especially the Kobe beef was unbelievable, the taste, texture, presentation of the meal was superb. This is my go to place in Japan.
Thank you Kaiseki 511 for the delightful meal and experience.
Great choice of food. Weird music that was played, did not feel in sync with the restaurant. Friendly staff and good presentations.
Excellent Kobe selections and quality preparation. Very limited wines by the glass and scotch tho.
Deliciuos wagu and kobe meat. The rest of the food amazing too. A bit expensive due to the quality of the meat, but worthy!
The overall experience was amazing. Service is incredible, they really put in the effort to make you feel welcome. The food was delicious. Highly recommend it!
Wakyu and Sirloin Kobe are very soft, juicy, and delicious. Friendly staff. Good ambiance. Highly recommended!
Food was very good! Especially the Kobe beef. Perhaps the only improvement I see is for the foie gras croquette. Too much potato, and not much foie gras/beef hence not being able to taste much of the flavour of the foie gras and beef.
Apart from that, food was amazing, ambience was good, and the service from the team was top notch!
Great place with very friendly staff. We had a la carte dinner (not the kaiseki) with the very top Kobe beef. It was one of the best meals I had in my life! The maximum portion they serve of this very special beef is 120g, which may seem too little but we are talking here about a real jewel. The 511 in the name of the restaurant stands for the type of meat they serve, 5 (this number indicates the quality of the meat in a scale from 1 to five) and 11 indicates the beef marbeling standard (from 1 to 12). Just superb!!
The care and quality of our dining experience was amazing. It was the perfect dinner for our last night in Tokyo. This restaurant is a must go to while in Tokyo. No beef is better in the world
The food was amazing. Each meal incorporated Kobe beef in some way. The soy dessert was delicious and simple. It took about 3 hours for our entire meal to be completed. Be prepared to eat for a while. Service was phenomenal.
Phenomenal service and literally the best steak that I’ve ever tasted!
We reserved lunch in Kobe Beef Kaiseki 511 last week ,it is nice and quiet, the waiter and waitress speaks English and one of them speaks Chinese . The lunch set is worth money amd taste good, also they accept credit card. A very good experience.
This restaurant has become a tradition for our Anniversary, we always leave wanting to come back soon, which we will. Why? The Kobe beef is the real deal and fantastically prepared every time. The service is attentive and friendly. The menus are build around seasonal fresh foods. And, we can always find the perfect wine to complement our meal from their complete wine list.
The service here is impeccable. The kitchen was busy that night, and the wait staff and management apologized profusely despite that fact we hadn’t complained. The food, even down to the vegetables, was perfectly cooked, and the molecular gastronomy used was innovative. We especially enjoyed the soya mousse served with the western style dinner that night. When we left, our waitress ran a full block after us to present us with a gift to apologize for the slow kitchen. We were absolutely floored. The hospitality here is unparalleled.
This was my third time here—I keep going back because their menu is always changing to match the season, and it’s always amazing. The staff also go out of their way to explain all the courses to non-Japanese guests.
The size of the Kobe beef steak is small for North Americans used to huge portions, but I find it perfect, especially after all the other courses. Come here for an amazing Japanese fine dining experience, not to stuff yourself with steak. I will be back!
I went there for birthday and they prepare a special mini birthday cake for us. We ordered course meal and the kobe Beef sirloin with medium rare were melt in my mouth slowly. Definitely will recommend this restaurant if u plan to have a special meal for your loved one.
